Abstract:This paper presents the “five strengthen ways” (which are strengthening the understanding of basic concepts, strengthening the study of the design specification, strengthening the grasp of the construal measure, strengthening the explanation of the key sections, and strengthening the practice of the implementation) and the “three integrate approaches” (which are integrating the solid model into the teaching practice, integrating the engineering case into teaching practice, and integrating research activities into the teaching practice) to improve the teaching quality of concrete structure design principle course. The teaching methods can cultivate students’ scientific research ability, practical ability and innovation ability.
