Abstract:To cultivate undergraduates' innovative ability, a new teaching method, namely the engineering practice-oriented reform, for reinforced concrete structure course was developed. Different from the traditional teaching process totally focused on the classroom teaching, the new teaching method encouraged students to go out of the classroom and walk into the practice and engineering projects. As a result, the classroom teaching combined with the in-situ visiting and the research programs comprehensively developed basic concepts of engineering and technologies for undergraduates.
