Abstract:Architecture is a highly integrated and practical subject. Cultivating high – quality undergraduates with strong practical ability is an important component of contemporary architectural education. There are different emphases in the training plan of practical ability in Guangdong colleges. There is little difference in the distribution of credits and the proportion of course types in macro class and the design course and technology course reflecting the professional practice ability are implemented in parallel. Colleges should start to build a systematic practical teaching system form a crisscross course organization and consolidate the guarantee conditions for practical ability training to speed up the training pace of practical ability of undergraduates majoring in architecture.
