Abstract:Based on temperature controlled triaxial equipment, temperature controlled interface instrument was developed. It can be used to measure the interface characteristics of structure and soil in the three-axis stress state, and provides technical support for revealing the mechanism of structural-soil interaction. Based on CDIO engineering education concept, the scientific research achievements of the temperature-controlled interface instrument are transformed into practical teaching project. The undergraduates participated in the whole-life development, testing and testing process of this innovation instrument. The innovative path and innovative methods of high-quality scientific research results can be learned during these processes. The whole processes of Conceive, Design, Implementation, and Operation can also be learned through this project. The students not only learnt the knowledge but also mastered scientific thinking. Finally, it can improve the students’ analysis and problem-solving ability, innovation and entrepreneurial ability.
