Abstract:To analyze the relationship between fixed assets and productive efficiency of Chinese logistics companies, DEA-CCR/BCC modeles are used to describe an empirical analysis of comparative efficiency and scale efficiency of 28 Chinese logistics companies listed on the Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hongkong stock markets The research indicats that: (1) large logistics companies have no significant advantages of productive efficiency over small and medium logistics companies; (2) there is no necessary connection between the scale and productive efficiency of logistics companies; (3) it is significantly different among the comparative efficiencies of Chinese logistics companies, effective mechanism of competition is lacked; (4) pure tecnology efficiency of logisitcs company has a greater effect on comparative efficiency than scale efficiency, and improvement of techlonogy is more important than expansion of scale in the logistics companies; (5) there is a significant difference in the scales of Chinese logistics companies, the resource allocation of them is not rational It concludes by pointing out the direction for the development of Chinese logisitcs companies
