      Abstract:In this paper, regional monetary multiplier model and regional monetary policy multiplier model based on classical macroeconomic theory are constructed. The regional effects of monetary policy factors are deduced theoretically. The differences in regional monetary base, regional monetary multiplier and regional monetary policy multiplier in China are analyzed combined with the reality of China. The results show that due to the regional monetary multiplier and the regional monetary policy multiplier differences, a unified monetary policy on economic development in eastern China’s effect will be significantly higher than that of less developed central and western regions. These conclusions are quite meaningful for China’s monetary policy and macroeconomic regulation and control.

      Abstract:The article compares regional insurance market discrepancies in China in order to make up the inadequate study of regional finance.       Abstract:Taking the dynamic panel data of east, middle, and west parts of China from 1997 to 2008 as sample, this essay analyzes how FDI affects China’s trade effect regionally. From the analysis, it can be found that different region received different effect. In the east part of China, FDI creates marked trade creation effect for export and substitution effect for import, while middle and western China are less influenced. Then, this paper analyzes the reason that trade effect isn’t obvious in western region and puts forward some suggestions.

    • An Analysis of Chongqing Cultivated Land Reduction Base on Chongqing CGE Model

      Abstract:This paper introduces the basic structure of Chongqing CGE Model, on which an analysis about the impact of cultivated land reduction on Chongqing economy is based. The simulation results show that the reduction of cultivated land could bring negative effects on the planting industry, reduce the consumption and investment, and also cause the welfare loss of urban residents. Cultivated land reduction may cause the net outflow increase, promote the transforming of rural labor from agricultural sectors to nonagricultural sectors, and improve the welfare of rural residents. Reasonable land use planning should be made to reduce the negative impact of the cultivated land reduction on Chongqing economy.

    • The Effect of Human Capital on the Employment, Income and Social Insurance Participation of Peasant Workers

      Abstract:By using the survey data of peasant workers in Jilin Province, the paper applies microeconometric methods in the study of the effect of human capital on the employment, income and social insurance participation of peasant workers. The study shows that education, training, working experience and technical titles have a remarkable impact on the employment tendency of peasant workers; education, training, technical titles and working experience all have positive obvious effect on raising income of peasant workers. Especially, those with high education, having more than two years of working experience, having general training or technical titles have more than 20%, 9.30%, 1.49%, 7.60% in terms of income, compared with the corresponding controlled group of peasant workers; education, training and technical titles also have positive effect on the participation of social insurance of peasant workers; the odds of participating in endowment insurance and social insurance programs by peasant workers who have high education, technical titles or general training is two times that of the controlled group of peasant workers.

      Abstract:This paper studies the rural power companies of Chongqing Area, using the Data Envelopment Analysis method (DEA) based on slacks measure to analyze the difference between the rural electricity distribution company and the state-owned electricity distribution company. The result shows that the operation performance of rural electricity distribution company is significantly lower than that of state-owned distribution company. The research can guide how to promote the performance of rural electricity distribution companies during the reform.

      Abstract:Guided by diversification theory, diversification degree,diversification type,diversification opportunity, and product decision-making of diversification are studied based on the 503 cosmetics stores Taobao.com. The study finds that more than 90% online shops with over 5 diamond credibility have implemented a diversification. The level of online retailer’s diversification strategy degree is low, and the diversification is mainly related-diversification. Unrelated diversified product selection is based on customer demands.

      Abstract:Asymmetry information between investors (principal) and manager (agent) always exists in the process of venture capital investment. The paper establishes an option game model from the view of investors in order to study the manager’s private benefits and designs an optimal contract for the entrance of venture capital. In the presence of principal-agent problem situation, the option’s executing time is bounded by the contract, so that the agent would not miss optimal entry time by advancing or delaying their investment. The principal must be paid to the agent as an incentive means.

    • Study on the “World’s Best Universities” and “Webometrics Rankings of World Universities”

      Abstract:There are many university rankings over the world. Different university rankings may vary significantly on the guidelines, methodology and result. For the better use of the results, this paper takes two well-known world university rankings for comparative analysis. One is “World’s Best Universities” released by U.S. News & World Report, the other is “Webometrics Rankings of World Universities” published by Cybermetrics Lab which belongs to CCHS-CSIC at Spanish. From index system, data sources and results, the paper first analyses the two rankings respectively. Then the relationship between them is discussed. The results show that: the correlation between overall university competitiveness and web performance is not high. However, those universities performed better overall always rank ahead of others on the list of web ranking. “Webometrics Ranking”is an important complement to overall university rankings, and so on.

    • An Exploratory Study of Social Network Analysis Method Applied to Establish the Academic Talents

      Abstract:This article aims at studying co-author network of library and information science according to all the authors in the field of library and information science during 1999-2008. Using traditional expert survey method to identify 20 authorities, it is found that the 20 authorities have significant difference in the four indices: vertex value, point centrality, betweenness centrality, closeness centrality, compared to the random 1000 authors’. Take the 20 authorities’ index value as a benchmark to seek the other 17 eligible authors, we conducted a questionnaire survey to weight their authority. It is concluded that social network analysis method is feasible and effective to determine academic talents.

      Abstract:The corporal punishment goes through a long process, from the Five Emperors Times to the Qing Dynasty. In the view of the functions of the punishment, which includes prevention and retribution, the origin, repetion and abolition of the corporal punishment is explained. The corporal punishment realized the functions of preventing crime and retribution in the history. The origin of the corporal punishment is to meet the need of prevention and retribution; the repetion of the punishment is to find the alternative punishment by trial and error; the abolition of the punishment is because the corporal punishment is replaced by another punishment which cost less than the corporal punishment. The long process of the abolition of the corporal punishment provides inspiration to solve the problem whether the death penalty is abolished now.

      Abstract:Aptitude education is widely advocated in education circle while it is seldom implemented in practice. In order to solve the formalization and ambiguity in the implementation of aptitude education, the authors hold that personality education is the main part of non-intelligence education in aptitude education in the perspective of strategic management thoughts. Meanwhile, a three-stage aptitude education implementation model was raised. Combined with the viewpoints of education system, several aspects were pointed out to be paid attention in the implementation of aptitude education: joint effects of composing parts (school, family, educatee, and firms e.g.) of education system; educatee’s involvement; change from indoctrination to service of aptitude education manner; and insufficience of college “two courses” in aptitude education etc.
