Abstract:China has not formed the consensus of the way of urbanization development since the mid-1980s, which directly caused to the difficulty of urbanization and the promotion of the urbanization process. The study of urbanization and the construction of urbanization theory are flagging gradually. In modern China, there four-dimensional contents on social and economic development of rural-urban and regional inside and outside space are immersed in dilemma. On the one hand, the urbanization process promotes rapidly in regional space. On the other hand, development of urban and rural sociality and economy falls in multiple predicaments due to the deterioration of contradictions. To some degree, the experience of China development reflects the existence of “appeal of urbanization road”. In the meantime, the promotion of urbanization process is facing challenges. On the basis of above analysis, this paper constructs the new framework including both theoretical and empirical aspects for the study of urbanization through literature review, contents with the difficulty of “ast, present and future” urbanization development. We noted the study on the selection of Chinese urbanization road by two meanings, containing deconstruction of the local urbanization theory, and searching for the city and urbanization path selection which suits local conditions. The contents of this paper offers the specific research path and implementation framework since it's the right time to implant the conception of “vulnerability” into the study of urbanization path selection for China.

      Abstract (2117) HTML (417) PDF 1.69 M (1191) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Using panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2001 to 2010, this paper analyzes the impact of technical advance on industrial structure and urban-rural employment in China. It illustrates that technical advance has made limited impact on the structural change of industries, so does the urban-rural employment. Abstract:By using provincial panel data model of 1988-2010 years, this article provides an analysis framework based on fiscal decentralization, government competition and expenditure for agriculture. The results show that fiscal decentralization has promoted local government fiscal expenditure for agriculture, but crossing time and regional differences are significant. The cross terms of government competition and fiscal decentralization have hampered fiscal expenditure for agriculture, and in the East is more remarkable. The regression results remain robust when joining variables. In addition, the local government fiscal expenditure for agriculture has apparent cumulative effect. The expenditure is drove by macroscopical economic policy significantly, but the effect is reducing.

      Abstract (2253) HTML (418) PDF 1.66 M (1225) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The current empirical research on the fair value information under new accounting standards ignores the fact that holding period unrealized gain or loss of fair value produced by financial asset would be reversed when the asset is sold. In this condition, the information of unrealized gain or loss of fair value from income statements would be applied directly to the study of value relevance and contract validity in these literatures, which would lead to the misinterpretation of empirical results of the information of fair value up and down of financial assets. In order to understand the exact role of fair value in Chinese new accounting standards, this paper combines unrealized gain or loss of fair value and the effect of reversion and retests the value relevance and contract validity of fair value information. Fortunately, study results are not completely same as before. The results have important implications to standard setters and later academic research. Furthermore, the paper also provides the evidences supporting that accounting standard setter stick to use fair value measurement during the period of financial crisis which has been criticized by outsiders of accounting circles.

Abstract:Active fund managers can exhibit their investment ability through stock selection, market timing and industry selection. Portfolio industry concentration can reflect the industry selection behavior of fund manager. The empirical analysis on the open-end equity fund in China shows that fund manager’s active selection of portfolio industry allocation can not bring about better fund performance. Thus fund managers have no industry selection ability. Moreover, the analysis by applying the Grinblatt and Titman’s GT measure to individual fund do not support that managers have industry selection ability.

Abstract:Olson considers that the key factor of collective public goods supply is the size of the group, which is small group more tend to supply collective goods than big group. But the theory of Olson can not explain some contrary facts: some big group is willing to supply public goods. Even in the same group, people are different in supplying public goods. Olson thinks that there are different operating principles, but we can not distinct big groups from small groups. So, we think that the key factor of collective public goods supply is members’ identity of the groups. If members’ identity of the groups is high, they will positive supply public goods, and vice versa.

Abstract:As an important conversational practice posed by ethnomethodologists, “formulation” serves to facilitate the interaction between participants and avoid conversational breakdowns. Based on the “formulation” theory and a corpus with more than 60,000 words transcribed from six psychotherapeutic sessions, this paper investigates the pragmatic types and the interaction structure of formulation in Chinese psychotherapeutic discourse. The findings are: formulation is a common device for cooperative intervention in psychotherapy; the interaction structures of formulation are, on the one hand, an indication of the close cooperation between the participants, on the other, an implication for the unequal distribution of discourse power. As psychotherapists, they can employ formulations to do effecitve therapeutic interventions; as clients, they can use more formulations to strengthen their internal power and improve the therapeutic effect.

Abstract:This article suggests a new couple of indicators for journal evaluation: Journal Contribution Value (JCV) and Journal Contribution Factor (JCF), which take into account not only the quantity but also the quality of citations. The JCV and JCF of 7 387 journals in JCR Science Edition 2009 have been calculated. The result shows that the journal rankings by JCV and JCF correspond well with the general understanding of journal status by experts. All the top journals are the most famous journals in their subjects and most of them are original journals. The new evaluation methods can effectively reduce the maneuverability and human intervention conducted by evaluated journal itself. JCV and JCF have good self-consistency.

      Abstract (2109) HTML (528) PDF 1.63 M (1394) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The right to personal information is a basic human right. Presently, legal protection to personal information in China far from satisfactory, particularly in cloud computing, personal information has been seriously misappropriated and abused. The issue of personal information protection covers and even exceeds the boundaries of different legal departments such as the constitution, administrative law, criminal law and civil law etc. If observed just from a branch law perspective, it is probable that we would attend to one thing and lose the sight of another. As a consequence, we should formulate a consolidated statute to protect our personal information, in which we are supposed to establish the scientific principles, define accurately the subject system as well as elaborate clearly the object system and its pointed objects in the personal information legal relationship, and simultaneously construct reasonable right relief systems to personal information.
