      2015, 21(1):1-9. DOI: 10.11835/j.issn.1008-5831.2015.01.001 CSTR:

      Abstract (1481) HTML (368) PDF 1.62 M (1119) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:By introducing a multi-dimensional marketization index as a variable of economic transformation process, the paper aims to study the interaction between marketization, urbanization and economic growth, which means that the two great reform process: marketization, urbanization, and economy growth are combined in one economic system. A simultaneous equation model is built, which contains the three elements above based on the theory of mechanism analysis. With use of the panel data of all provinces in China from 2000 to 2012, the empirical results show that China’s marketization plays significant roles in urbanization and economic growth. Urbanization has obviously driven the economic growth; while the effect of economic growth on urbanization presents an inverted u-shaped curve relationship. Therefore, a reasonable rate of economic growth can better promote the stable and healthy development of urbanization.

    • Research on the Measurement of FDI Technology Efficiency and Regional Difference in China

      2015, 21(1):10-15. DOI: 10.11835/j.issn.1008-5831.2015.01.002 CSTR:

      Abstract (1435) HTML (468) PDF 1.06 M (897) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the traditional performance index of FDI, this paper builds the index of FDI technology efficiency (FTE) to describe the accurate effect of environment pollution and economic growth on the host country, and then uses Chinese provincial dataset from 2000 to 2010 to make the empirical study. The conclusions are that: the index of FTE shows an upward trend during the sample period in China, and the middle China performs the worst among the three regions; the FTE including the pollution is higher than the index without the pollution, and it suggests that the hypothesis of “pollution haven” doesn’t appear in China; there exists a significant difference among different regions in FTE, but the gap is diminishing based on the coefficient of Thiele.

    • Analysis of the Three-dimensional System of Industry Linkages with Spatial Difference for the Chinese Regional Construction Industry

      2015, 21(1):16-22. DOI: 10.11835/j.issn.1008-5831.2015.01.003 CSTR:

Abstract:This paper proposes the “development linkages, competitiveness linkages and cooperation linkages” framework for the three-dimensional analysis of industry linkages. With the analytical framework applied to the Chinese construction industry, the innovative theory of industry linkages provides a new idea for analyzing the development of specific industries comprehensively and systematically. In this paper, China’s 31 provinces are divided into 8 regions; the development linkages, competitiveness linkages and collaboration linkages in the construction industry are measured in these regions. Research has found that in the realm of development linkages, the influence coefficients of the construction industry in these 8 regions are more than 1, which means that the construction industry plays an important role in the regional economy; the induction coefficients are generally maintained at 0.6, a low state. In the competitiveness linkages dimension, the spillover effects of construction are more obvious in Beijing, Tianjin, and the eastern and southern coasts among the 8 major regions; by contrast, the construction industry in northeast and central regions has little effect on stimulating the economy in other regions. Cooperation linkages can be readily evinced by the close interrelation of the construction industry and consulting industry in all regions. At present, construction and consulting are mainly regional businesses, however, it needs to be emphasized that the complementarity between the construction industry and consulting industry in the eastern coast is quite poor.

    • Analysis of Coupling Coordination Degree between Land Market and Regional Economy

Abstract:Based on the expatiation on the coupling mechanism of land market and regional economy, this paper introduces the coupling coordination degree model to research coupling coordination relation between land market and regional economy over the period of 2005-2012 in Chengdu city. The result indicates that coupling coordination degree has generally an upward trend during the above-mentioned period, with the four-phase procedure of extreme imbalance, general imbalance, barely coordination and primary coordination. Unbalanced development of land market is the main factor affecting the degree. The key to promote the coordinated development of them is to strengthen the management of land market so as to ensure the stable development of land market.

Abstract:EU climate policy is one of the focal fields of foreign researchers. Their researches mainly focus on the development of EU Climate policy, EU’s internal climate policy, EU's climate diplomacy, EU's international climate leadership and the influence of EU climate policy. Among these fields, EU Emission Trading System (EU ETS), EU's positions in international climate negotiations as well as EU's international climate leadership are paid great attention. Generally speaking, research on EU climate policy in western academic circles can easily be divided into several phases; most researches are conducted from economic angle while the political implication of EU climate policy is not emphasized. In addition, a comprehensive and theoretical study of EU climate policy is still weak.

    • Comparative Study of Relationship between Carbon Emission and Medium-term Urbanization in Different Countries

Abstract:The medium-term urbanization stage means the urbanization rate between 30% to 70%.Comparing with the world’s major developed countries and China during this stage, the annual carbon emissions and carbon emissions per capita will keep rising trend, but national growth rate has huge difference. The peak of carbon emissions will not appear in stage of medium-term urbanization, but in its maturity period. The results based on Granger Causality Test show that co-relation Granger causality between urbanization rate and carbon emission may not exist in all countries, but which between carbon emissions per capita and urbanization rate exists.

      Abstract (1185) HTML (522) PDF 1.46 M (1156) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Based on the Chinese provincial panel data of the year 2003 to 2008, this paper builds EDI and HDIM, and utilizes the simultaneous equation model to analyze the relationship between environment pollution and human development. The findings reveal that the inverted “U” relationship between the two still hold even after treating the economic growth as an endogenous variable and controlling some variables, such as industrial structure; Meanwhile, the environment degradation also significantly impedes economic growth. To pay more attention and investment on human development is the key point to solve the dilemma of economic growth, resource exhaustion and environment degradation, which arises during the process of rapid development in China.

During the late 1980s, a reform of the trial court system in China started and gradually extended to the entire justice system and judicial institutions, evolved into a full range of judicial reform. In this way, the concept of case management for the direct purpose of justice and judicial efficiency has also affected China and gradually becomes a realistic system design. The majority of the courts in China have basically established case listing management system, but for lack of systematic and holistic considerations, these systems are mostly incoherent and inconsistent internal existence. Therefore, China’s judicial case management system in the design should establish a direction of basic principles and develop and constantly improve the operability of specific measures.

Abstract:Takeuchiminolu is one of the first Japanese scholars to study modern Chinese culture and literature after the World War Two. He has made especially great achievements in the study of Mr. Mao Zedong and Lu Xun, which enables him to be honored as “the first person” to study modern Chinese and Mao Zedong in Japan. In the study of Lu Xun’s works, he gives us a special perspective, from which we can see an ordinary Lu Xun. Takeuchiminolu strips Lu of divinity and all the halos around him. Through analyzing Lu’s works and studying his life, together with his positions and identity, the historical background and surroundings, Takeuchiminolu “read” Lu Xun in depth and shows the readers a real “human” Lu Xun.

    • Balance Between Literature and Religion: An analysis of Emerson’s “Poet-Priest”

      Abstract (1170) HTML (473) PDF 762.21 K (1073) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The image of the “Poet-Priest” lies at the center of Emerson’s transcendentalism. This image is developed through the combination of the European mythological “Orphic Poet” and Puritan ideology to stimulate a natural religion, in which literature and poetry is excelled to the position of Bible and revelation, or even to a higher position; and the poet is simultaneously promoted to a higher position than that of the priest. Therefore, with the image of the “Poet-Priest”, Emerson freed American literature in the 19 th c. from the influence of the harsh Puritanism, encouraged literary creation, and stimulated the development of the New England Renaissance.
