    Abstract:
This paper inferred a new high-speed method of tool-life testing from the differential median theorem of the pluralistic function. The characteristic of the method is that by using one cutting edge and doing one wear curve the tool life equation T=Cvx can be obtained. The drain on the workpiece and time of the method decreased by 2/3 as compared with that of the conventional testing method. The test has verified the method in the paper.

    Abstract:
The calculating burden of the decoupling judgement of multi-area power system load frequeney centrel is very large by tranditional methods. This paper changcs the decoupling judgement problem into a minimum cost network flow problem. The solution algorithm is out-of-kilter . algorithm which is characterized by simple manipaultion, fast and reliable convergence. In the paper, we discuss and calculate the decoupling problem of two arca power system load frequency control. The results show that the proposed approach is feasible and effective.

    Abstract:
A method of anticipated failure analysis(AFA)in HV AC/DC hybrid systems is presented in this paper for the first time. In this method node-injection-power is used to simulate outage states of AC/DC branch circuits, linked with the fast decoupled load flow, to obtain the load flow solutions after the anticipated failures. An example for calculation in this paper shows the effectiveness and correctness of this method and computer programs.

    Abstract:
An analysis of the influence of channel on signal transmission in the wired measurcments-while-drilling ( MWD ) system is made. The cases of reflection and refraction to the signal at connecting points of wires are analysed. The transmitting channel must consist of many sections of wires in this measuring system. A few noteworthy practical problems arc put forward when designing this message-transmitting channel.

    Abstract:
A new L-type viscometer, the resuit of the improvement of viscometer L-1, is described. This instrument not only retains the advantage of viscometer L-1 s obtaining the apparent viscosity of non-Newtonian fluid as a function of shear rater covering a certain range by a single test, but can work efficiently when the shea: rate of the specimen is too low for apparent svicosity to be measured with conventional viscometers. Besides, it only needs less than 2mL of specimen for a test.

    Abstract:
A method for designing the auxiliary ventilation system for long drivages with multiple fans spaced in series in long duels is proposed based on the criterion that no recirculation takes place between the air flowing in the duct line and the surrounding air, A recurrence method is also given to calculat the leakage and the resistance lose of the duct taking into account of the relationship among the pressure, resistance and the leakage of the duct. The calculating results show that the present method is belter than the other methods.

    1990, 13(5):83-90.
    [Abstract](568) [HTML](0) [PDF 386.52 K](1218)
    Abstract:
A new method with which to calculat the displacements of beams and frames is presented. The areas of tending moment diagram of beam or frame and the slope at the origin of the elastic curve are treated as some rotatable vectors with this method. Angular displacement and in-line displacement can be calculated by using the projection and moment of these vectors. This method can be used to calculate displacement of the bar and the bar syttem ( including three dimensional forms. ) , which made from linear or ncnlinear elastic materials. The cross section of the bar is changeable.

    [Abstract](578) [HTML](0) [PDF 444.28 K](1009)
    Abstract:
This paper describes the initial idea of building up a new approach of spectroscopic ellipsometry for studying electrochemieal reaction from some of the author's experimental results on ellipsometry. The results which have proved the possibility of this idea is also presented. The study on an odic oxidation of iron and the oxidation and reduction processes of polyaililine film by ellipsometry with different wavelength show that the ellipsometric spectroscopy might be a new method for analyzing electrochemical reactions.

    Zhao Xuejun
    1990, 13(5):106-111.
    [Abstract](571) [HTML](0) [PDF 236.28 K](792)
    Abstract:
A class of cubic parameter curves are given. Hermite curve, Ball curve, Bezier curve and Timmer curve are its particular cases. Under certain conditions, this cubic parameter curves have the following properties: Convexity, retaining convex form, contact with the second edge of characteristic polygon and so on. This curve is different from Bezier curve, because its, shape can be changed after its characteristic polygon is given, so its shape can be changed according to our actual requirements.
