    Abstract:
    Based on the discussion of the phenomenon that the effect of fracture toughness is neglected in general hydraulic fracturing models, this paper gives the energy balance equation in-colding all parameters in hydraulic fracturing and proposes a method of determining the apparent fracture toughness of rock from hydraulic fracture experimental data. The discussion on the factors affecting apparent toughness indicates the inevitability that the apparent fracture toughness of rock measured by hydraulic fracture experimental data is significantly higher than that measured by the standard three-point bending method.

    Abstract:
    Crack growth stability is very important for fracture toughness testing of brittle materials. The width of crack for a three-point bend round beam specimen changes continuously during the process of crack extension, so that the analysis of crack growth stability becomes complicated for this kind of specimen. This paper presents a method for calculating its stability factors, and the results of the calculation are compared with those of other specimens.

    Abstract:
    An incremental formula is derived from integral form of endochronic plastic constitutive equation, which greatly reduces the error caused by the one which was directly obtained from differential form of the constitutive equation. An elastoplastic matrix is then proposed, based on which a stiffness finite element approach is developed. The analysis of the residual stress at the inner skin of an autofrettaged thick-walled cylinder agrees well with the experimental result. The calculated stress-strain fields of a double - edge - notched plate subjected to cyclic zero-to-tension loading are also quite reasonable. The numerical process is steady and quickly convergent, and the developed approach can easily be applied to practical engineering analysis.

    Abstract:
    The effect of the convective heat transfer in the entrance region of the tube on the temperature field and the maximum temperature of the tube material in the tube -mouth region of the high temperature heat exchange equipment is examined by numerical analysis. The computations on the basis of four different formulas for convection heat transfer coefficient are performed. The computed results indicate that the efect can not be ignored as for heat protection of the tube -mouth region and it is resapnable and secure that the mean convective heat transfer coefficient with taking account of the effect of the entrance region is used in the thermal design of the tube -mouth region.

    Abstract:
    The one-dimensional heat transfer of microwave thawing in a food analogue material is experimentally studied. The results show that the phase change region is narrow and the latent heat is quickly released due to the effect of the microwave energy. Besides, in the rising section of the temperature after thawing. the internal heat source makes the temperature at the central point rise more quickly than that at other parts of the tested element.

    Abstract:
    FFT(Fast Fourier Transform)is the basis of spectrum analysis. This paper gives out a method which can improve the speed and accuracy of FFT. The spectrum analysis based on the proposed method is of a high level: the amplitude error of spectrum is less then 1 % , the time of completing 1024 compler points FFT and 32 segments spectrum analysis is less then 250ms and only 5 seconds respectively.

    In this paper, a new high - strength worm gearing, named'rolling cone enveloping hourglass worm gearing' is proposed. With such a new type of worm gearing, the motion form between meshing tooth surfaces is changed in nature. A systematic theoretical study. a lot of numerical calculations and parameter analyses have been done. Based on these analyses,the optimum design of worm gearing is obtained. It is shown that this worm gearing possesses the virtues of high efficiency, large load capacity, long life -span and easy meanufacture.

    Abstract:
    Based on Group Technology, part families of the norm of working hour are formed according to the similarity among components. With the progressive regerssion, the models of the norm of working hour are built for every part family. A computer aided norm model building program and a computer aided norm of working hour planning system are developed. The system is successfully integrated with CAD/CAPP system. Some examples of the model building and calculation results are illustrated as well.

The experimental results of digital simulation and real-time control on the high temperature diffuse furnaces prove that the algorithm suits the mimimum or non - minimum systems which have large time-lag, and it has distinguished characteristics in real-time and control precision.

    Abstract:
    The transient flow fields of gallgladder bile in vivo are calculated by finite element methods. Computer tomograph, ultrasound B and contrast radiography are applied to determine the moving boundary conditions, The penalty formulation and moving triangle elements have been successfully adopted and be flow fields for axisymmetric Newtonian bile flow have been obtained. The results show that there exists obvions reverse flow at the cross section (Perpendicular to Center axis) and thus forms axisymmetric vartexes inside a contracting gallbladder in vivo,Which well agree with the previous prediction.

    This paper presents an approach to studing the economic dispatch of real power with N-1 security with the network flow programming (NFP), the N-1 line - security constraints are first introduced into the network f olw model and the problem of N-1 security economic dispatch becomes an incremental metwork flow model. Therefore, the shortage of NFP is mitigated to some extent, The solution adopted is the "out-of-kilter"algorithm(OKA), which is characterized by fast calculation and reliable convergency. The model and solution are tested on IEEE 30-bus system, and the results show that the proposed approach is feasible.

    Abstract:
    Several aspects of the conditional equation derived from the accumulative equation are discussed in detail. The results indicate that the conditional equation not only is well consistent with the principles of electronegativity and absolute hardness equalization, but also satisfies the bonding of a full -prerequisite condition, e. g. two like electronic charge species repel and unlike attract each other'. In addition these principles are in the accumulative state. Mathematically, some other aspects of the conditional equation are worth studying based on the generalization of this equation.
