Abstract:Nowadays, the appearances of Chinese cities are undesirable. Most of the architecture designs are mediocre and repetition with each other. There are few excellent architects. These situations are contrasted by the success of Finland’s architecture designs. One of the fundamental reasons of the difference between China and Finland is the education system. To educate architects with original innovation capability, I summarized the superiorities of the architectural education system in Finland, compared it with that of China to find the disadvantages, and proposed suggestions to improve and renovate the higher architectural education system in China.
Abstract:After going through various development stages, modern universities have played an important role in the development of national economy and culture, although they have different development features. Modern universities are miniatures of the society, and they exhibit all kinds of characteristics including the visible innovation of culture and the invisible development of national economy. Only via seizing the opportunity of modern university construction can highlevel universities keep their vitality and have the core competence.
Abstract:At present, scientific research and published papers are deterministic factors instead of teaching effect to evaluate teachers in universities. Therefore, teachers devote most of their efforts on the two aspects. Meanwhile, the credit hour of major courses for undergraduates is reduced in colleges and universities, which has a negative impact on the teaching effect. To improve the teaching quality in universities, we proposed new approaches including following teaching laws, improving supervision mechanism, and strengthening computeraided instruction. Teaching should focus on basis and concept, seizing the mainline, and giving attention to cultivating selfconfidence and ability.

Abstract:With the development and improvement of the society, the need of architecture and urban planning professionals are increasing. Universities are the main channel to train professionals. The development of related subjects is important to construction industries in the future. We analyzed present situation of course setting for architecture and urban planning majors in universities and colleges of Zhejiang province, and compared it with foreign universities to find out their development and professional settings and their scientific and flexible teaching methods and ideas. We pointed out problems and shortcomings in universities and colleges of Zhejiang province, and discussed the development trend of architectural education to meet the needs of the times.
Abstract:There are many problems in present situation of running architecture major in independent colleges of ordinary universities, which are lacking teaching hardware and teachers, no unique characteristics in the teaching system, and unclear specialty orientation. Analyzed these problems, we proposed strategies and concrete measures of running school from several aspects, including reasonable specialty orientation and teaching system setting, strengthening the construction of teachers, and improving teaching methods.
Abstract:I analyzed the situation of modern higher education in P. R. China, and proposed that a unique teaching mode for landscape architecture was needed in local colleges and universities. The teaching mode should combine and reflect local characteristics of society, economy, and culture, which can enhance competitive strength of local colleges and universities.

Abstract:Local colleges and universities should have a teaching mode with unique characteristics based on the actual situation, market, and industry relying to show self superiority. To construct and develop the urban planning specialty, local colleges and universities should take theories of strengthening foundations, emphasizing applications, focusing on innovation, improving ability, optimizing quality, and founding characteristics as the guiding ideology. The training goal is to make urban planning majors fill staff vacancy and serve in grassroots units and local places with high quality.

Abstract:Applicationoriented talents of urban planning are greatly demanded due to the rapid urbanization in P. R. China. We analyzed the training mode of innovative quality education for teaching them from three aspects, which were specialty and training orientations, training mode of innovative quality education, and support conditions of completing the mode. The key of the training mode were making urban planning practice as a core of the teaching content, optimizing the course system, and strengthening scientific research and social practice. The results can be used as a reference of constructing the training mode.
Abstract:We discussed on the preparationemployment talent training mode, and applied it into practice. It improved students’ practice competence and capabilities of adapting to the real production environment, and enhanced their employment abilities, which provided a new way for teaching practice reform of civil engineering major.
Abstract:Since the engineering management specialty was established in the promulgated Ordinary College Undergraduate Specialty Directory, it was set up in more and more universities and became a popular specialty. Nowadays, there are many problems in its talenttraining system including that excessive universities and colleges have set up the specialty both in types and quantities, training systems are various, talenttraining quality is different, and the discipline construction is slow. Abstract:We investigated and analyzed the business situation and student source of project cost specialty in higher vocational schools. Based on the basic meaning of talenttraining mode and professional requirements of project cost specialty, we presented a twolevel occupation training goal, and constructed a corresponding talenttraining mode including six structural learning and working packages to achieve the training goal by a spiral progression.

Abstract:Many historic buildings of Zhejiang province are located in the center of the city, and most of them are dilapidated. Therefore, they were the first eliminated objects in urban renewal and construction during the urbanization of Zhejiang province. We analyzed development and deduction characteristics of historic buildings to discuss techniques and methods for historic building preservation, and took Ningbo Qing’an Hall maintenance projection as an example to research on the preservation and restoration of historic district.

Abstract:There is a contradiction between knowledge extension and decrease of the teaching time for engineering specialties, since P. R. China adjusted the undergraduate specialtysetup 10 years ago. We investigated on teaching contents of specialized courses and specialized basic courses among classes of building environment and equipment engineering graduated in 2008. Based on students’ attitude of the investigation, we thought about the teachingmaterial view and teaching view of engineering specialties, and discussed methods to solve the contradiction.

Abstract:We analyzed basic features of applicationoriented talent training of urban planning specialty from two aspects including the talenttraining goal and basic requirements of specialty cultivation. Based on the analysis, we proposed several ways to optimize the curriculum system, which are setting up main theoretical courses to promote the combination of specialty education and occupation experience, establishing correlative knowledge courses to reinforce diversification of subject construction, reinforcing practical teaching to improve students’ occupation skills, and dividing occupation direction and increasing elective courses to increase student’s independence and selectivity.

Abstract:Classification of the technical concept in structural defect treatment is very complicated and disorganized. We proposed that rectification measures of tilted structures can be classified into three stages, which were technical approaches, technical principles, and construction methods. Based on technical approaches, rectification measures were divided into forced settlement and liftup technologies. The former included stress relief, stress addition, foundation stiffness softening, and unloading methods based on technical principles. The latter included truncation liftup and expansion liftup. At last, we summed up different sorts of rectification measures and systemized sorting administrative levels.
Abstract:Blended courses combine different teaching methods to achieve the best teaching effect. Teaching, learning, and practicing are equally important in the courses. We took blended courses as the main teaching mode in curriculum development of property management for real estate management and valuation major, and analyzed specific practice in the develop process based on four requirements, which were making teaching contents accord with post requirements, teaching environment simulates working one, teaching methods accord with students’ aptitude, and teaching evaluation is close to enterprise standards.

Abstract:We investigated and analyzed the current situation of landscape architecture design course teaching in nearly 30 agricultural universities. Based on the problem of “few credit hours and many contents”, we reformed on the teaching contents and methods to meet development requirements. To strength teaching effects and improve students’ design ability, it is important to integrate teaching contents, construct “combined” teaching modules, and use “staged” teaching method in limited credit hours.
Abstract:We analyzed problems of structural design curriculum setting, and discussed about content integration and optimization of theoretical and practical curriculum systems based on setting goals of curriculum system optimization and construction. Practical results show that students’ structural design ability and innovative consciousness can be improved, and their adaptation period of further work can also be shorted.

Abstract:We introduced the evaluation of built environment course into the architecture design education for juniors. Students took campus buildings as the evaluation subjects, determined evaluation content by their daytoday experience, and obtained objective data and forms through questionnaires and interviews, which represented thoughts and responses of users in the constructed environment. Based on the evaluation, we further discussed on the relation between the design intention and the usage effect of constructed environment to train students’ abilities of comprehensively understanding architecture designs, and finding and solving problems.

Abstract:The course design is an important links of teaching plan in civil engineering specialty. Based on teaching practice, we introduced computerassisted instruction (CAI) into course design, and combined computer calculation with manual calculation by using structural design software PKPM. Abstract:Based on the research and exploration of the recent experiment mode, we proposed an outdooropening experiment mode. We elaborated its basic principles, put forward its construction and application methods, and carried out the outdooropening experiment in electromagnetic field experimental course. The result shows that the outdooropening experiment mode is helpful for students’ cognitive ability of abstract conception, improves their practical ability, brings their enthusiasm into practice, and cultivates their innovation spirit. However, relative problems of the mode need further exploration and research.

Abstract:With the development of economy and society, new and higher demands on innovation team construction of civil subject are needed in applicationoriented institutes. To improve the existing organization mode of innovation team, make the subject orientation relatively centralized and stable, optimize the subject structure, and achieve aims of cultivating applied talents to serve the society, it is necessary to build a new organization mode. In the construction process, team goals, scientific research groups, resources assessment system, and incentive mechanism are four basic elements. Abstract:A professor committee reflects the principle of “universities and colleges administrated by professors”. Its setting and running should adjust to the education system of a country, and promote the higher education.
