Depended on educational idea of scientific humanism, issues in modern higher education were discussed by means of philosophical speculation and comparison. Higher education of scientific humanism is based on scientism, and guided by humanistic values. Its ultimate mission is perfecting of personality, and its particularity is cross innovation. General education is both the basis and the value orientation of quintessential education, and quintessential education is the sublimation of professional knowledge. Higher education of scientific humanism advocates the reformation that liberal arts is scientification, and science and engineering is humanization.
Abstract:Building construction is one of the important human practice,so these architectural colleges are responsible for training qualified engineers. With the intervention and destructive power from the projects becoming more and more and the consequences becoming more dangerous, the engineers need to develop a new sense of responsibility for environmental ethics. The article described the current status of the construction about environmental ethics, revealed the causes of these, and proposed the research ideas and implementation strategies for the future disciplinary construction of environmental ethics. The author hopes to arouse the engineers ’deep thinking about the moral bottom line of architecture.
Abstract:The remarkable achievements attained by higher education of civil engineering in Singapore have been widely recognized. Chinese is the main composition of Singaporean, the culture of Singapore is the same with China, so compared with other countries its higher education has much more reference to Chinese higher education in civil engineering . Referring to the higher education of civil engineering in Singapore, the strategies adopted during the internationalization process of its higher education are introduced. Some opinions are expressed and some advices are given, hoping that they should be beneficial to the internationalization of higher education of civil engineering in China.
Abstract:With the literature search, based on the 1325 undergraduate specialties of civil construction discipline in Chinese universities in the period of the 11th five-year plan, the paper inspected 72 state-level excellent course of civil construction project in 28 universities. With the 29 state-level key (cultivation) disciplines and 102 bases of characteristic specialty construction, the paper analyzed the distribution of state-level excellent course of civil construction project, and discussed the application of high quality resources and the prevalence of construction experience for state-level excellent course from institute or department, teachers and students .
Abstract:The paper pointed out four types of expectation including high type of bilateral expectations, low type of bilateral expectation, graduate teacher excess and students excess expectations in the process of postgraduate training , then discussed the influence of expectations to the postgraduate training. Through the questionnaire survey to the graduates in Sichuan, this paper gave the conclusion that the variety expectations played different roles in the different grades and changed with grade.

Abstract:Engineering management talent needs to have strong practice ability and innovation ability, engineering economic innovation ability is one of an important component. According to the social demand for engineering management talent,we explored effective training models of innovation ability. This paper analyzed the position of engineering economics under talent training objectives, the choosing of teaching contents of engineering economics, and proposed the training measures of engineering economics innovation ability by teaching methods reform and teaching practice. The practice result showed that the students’ engineering economic innovative ability was substantially improved.

Abstract:A comparative study on curriculum of geological engineering specialty between two universities in P. R. China and Japan, Tongji University and Shinshu University, was carried out. The different emphasis in talent cultivation was analyzed from the view of cultivation objective, credit, course, and practice teaching. The comparative results show that the course setup in Tongji University emphasizes cultivating students as future engineers, but that in Shinshu University emphasizes letting students can master more principal knowledge of geology. The difference in curriculum between two universities is caused fundamentally by the different development stages, namely the different fundamental realities of two countries.

Abstract:Based on the teaching actualities of the engineering graphics course, the paper analyzed the students’ characteristics and habits for study. With 3D modeling technology of drawing software, new interactive teaching method has been attempted. Based on the principles of educational psychology, the students have been guided with the specific practice to solve the problem using set thinking and divergent thinking in the learning process. Abstract:Mathematics teaching plays an important role in postgraduate education of civil engineering specialty. With the development of economy and society, the scale of postgraduate training and the field of civil engineering are expanding. Abstract:This paper introduced the situations of the bilingual teaching with full English in fluid mechanics course undertaken by foreign teacher in Beijing Jiaotong University, discussed some questions, such as basic ideas, teaching methods, teaching effect assessment and evaluation in bilingual teaching, and analyzed the problems that should be paid attention to. Abstract:Based on the experiment teaching reform of civil engineering specialty in Yangzhou University, this paper summarized the conventional problems in undergraduate experiment teaching of civil engineering specialty, introduced a system of experiment teaching reform including organization system, management system, and assurance system, elaborated the main problems and solutions in open experiment teaching of civil engineering specialty. Open experiment teaching created a connection between undergraduate students and laboratory, set a perfect platform for students to promote their independency and initiative in experiment.

Abstract:To meet the social demand of enhancing talents’ practical ability training effort, issues of practice teaching for civil engineering specialties were explored. Based on the analysis of teaching experience and graduates’ feedback opinions since undergraduate specialty adjustment, influencing factors and enhancing measures of practical ability training quality of wide civil engineering specialties were discussed according to existing talent training modes and running conditions in agriculture and forestry universities. The result shows that there is much realistic necessity and feasibility for improving talent practical ability of wide civil engineering in five aspects including graduation project, fieldwork, extracurricular practice, evaluation of academic performance and teaching conduction construction.
Abstract:In water conservancy and hydropower engineering specialty, the most important practice teaching link is the graduation design, while the most significant factors ,which affects the quality of graduation design, is thecomputer application ability.
