Abstract:With the complicated economic and social factors for city prettified movement in the rapid urbanization of China, urban landscape construction becomes the chase object of capital and power, while the suture functions of regional integration, historic connection and spatial stratification elimination are severely neglected. It reveals that the city beautiful movement, a superficial embarrassment, will raise issues like exaggerated urban space scale, lost partial sequence, cracking city historical and cultural symbol, weakened region identification, spatial differentiation of stratification together with unsustainability of urban construction and development in future. Then, in combination with design cases, it proposes four strategies for city prettified movement which is helpful to the landscape design research: suture the nature and humanism by historical and cultural symbol, image and connotation by space settlement, space and city by regional integration, and current and future by ecological theory.
Abstract:School of architecture in Sheffield University is one of the oldest schools of architecture in UK. It is a main feature that both research and teaching are important and especially the close relationship between architecture, social and culture is valued, that are reflected in the curriculum. With the survey of the humanities courses in Sheffield University, the paper analyzed the teaching target, teaching content, teaching methods and strategies. Through this research, some meaningful reference will be provided for the humanities course teaching of architecture specialty in China.

Abstract:Mode of compound talents training for civil engineering specialty is a systematic project; this paper discussed how to cultivate compound talents for civil engineering specialty from training aim, teaching plan, curriculum system, teaching content, practice teaching and teacher’s team construction. Under the framework of professional guidance committee of the Ministry of Education, proposed that specialized talents needs must be combined with the social development; professional content of civil engineering majors must be reformed; cultivating aim must be cleared; corresponding reforms in teaching plan, curriculum system, teaching content, teaching book construction, sources of teacher etc must be carried out in order to foster multi-skilled compound talents.
Abstract:Returned to the ideas of professional quality based education, this article analyzed the content of professional quality for excellent railway engineer, put forward the training object for the excellent railway engineer, and implemented several useful measures in the teaching. Combined with the education tests, it put forward virtual locale teaching methods introverting engineering system theory and engineering market theory. In the cycle of theory and practice, the professional quality education was arrived, that emphasized the virtue, ability and all-round development. Abstract:Structural system design courses are important while difficult for both the lecturers and students in the major of civil engineering due to the complexity, wide scope and profound connection with engineering practice of those courses. Unfortunately, the educational objectives of these courses can be hardly fulfilled due to the poor configuration in terms of effectiveness and completion of these courses. Contents of some courses overlap. Emphases of teaching are partially put on structural elements instead of system, theories instead of application and skills instead on professionalism. This paper takes the University of Southern California as the example and introduces several characteristics and merits in the course configuration, teaching philosophy and methods and application practice of structural design courses in American universities. Based on a comparative study, suggestions are make for the improvement of the teaching of the structural system design courses in China.
Abstract:Lack of safety consciousness is the intrinsic reason that leads to the accidents of work safety increasing, however there are no safety courses for civil engineering specialty in high school. Supervisor improving safety principle, training teacher troops and editing textbook are three problems that should be solved for construction of work safety course in high school currently. Based on the social demand, civil engineering work safety course should be set up to help the students create proper consciousness and value of safety.

Abstract:With the development of education internationalization, many universities in China carry out the bilingual teaching experimental work, teaching through the combination of English and Chinese. However, how about the teaching effects for the different courses after using the bilingual teaching method namely the evaluation of teaching effect is worth to consider. After the practice of bilingual teaching for structural mechanics course for several years, the paper summarized the experiment plan, the experiment phenomenon and the experiment results, then established the evaluation system of the teaching effects providing some references to the bilingual teaching for other engineering courses.

Abstract:The teaching point of professional English course is how to improve the English application ability and the comprehensive quality of engineering specialty. According to the teaching situation and the existing problems, the paper reformed course content, teaching methods and examination mode based on the actual situation. A student-centered and interactive self-learning teaching method was presented. The teaching practice showed that the positive effect was achieved and teaching quality was improved significantly. Based on the suggestions from the students who have taken part in the reform, it established the subsequent improvement of teaching reform.

Abstract:The increase of international students created new problems for the higher education in recent China. The full English course of water supply and drainage system in buildings is a major course for international students in the area of civil and environmental engineering. Compared to traditional Chinese teaching method, the diverse background, different expectations, distinct water supply and drainage system and lack of clear full English teaching method make the course teaching cannot meet the need of international students training. With the teaching practice, the author suggests introducing full English textbook, standardizing terminology, clarifying teaching tasks and establishing course contents, using the modern teaching method, enhancing subject construction and improving the internationalization of course teaching. That provides guarantee to the talent training objective for international students.
Abstract:In today’s development situation, the foreign architectural history as a basic theory class in architecture specialty, the teaching methods must be updated, advancing with the times. The object of the teaching reform is how to improve the teaching method, combine the study with application, and enhance the students’ thinking ability. Abstract:In architectural basic teaching, the architecture space enlightenment is a very important part. Traditional space composition followed the practice of nine-square problem, emphasized the elements and form of space. But it is easy to lead students to ignore the nature of some important elements such as space and site. The new space strategy of contemporary architecture can change the monotony of the traditional space composition; it can also complement the lack of nine-square problem exercise, and resolve the students’ problems in the space practice.
Abstract:With the scientific and integrated urban-rural development traditional urban planning education is obviously in the need of reform. As a core theory course, the content of urban planning principle expands fast and the knowledge becomes more difficult. During the past teaching practice, there were some problems that the teaching group was relatively small; the course was lack of discussion and exploration; the teaching was lack of innovation. To meet the requirements of excellent course construction, the teaching reform includes adjusting of the course frame, teaching aim and content, enlarging teaching group by trans-subject, combination of teaching and research exploration, and keeping up with the advanced foreign education practice. The paper points out that in the following stages of teaching reform, we should coordinate with other courses related through collaborative teaching methods, use research type teaching methods to adapt the transformation development in the professional area, establish the participation type teaching in the bilingual teaching environment.
Abstract:Project contract management is the core part of construction project management, and it’s an important part of knowledge structure, ability structure and quality structure for registered constructor, consultant engineer and cost engineer. As a separate course, only a few colleges have opened the project contract management. The purpose of teaching study on this course is to make the course meeting the needs of modern project management. In this paper, with the comparison analysis and experience summary, the establishment of curriculum, knowledge system, important and difficult content of teaching were discussed in detail. The results show that the knowledge system of project contract management should be based on the professional characteristics; the teaching of project contract management should grasp the development of project contract, and the teaching of project contract management need to promote the practice teaching.

Abstract:A truss’ reactions often need to be solved after the structure is calculated by matrix displacement method. It is inconvenience that the rational solution based on the truss axial force needs to determine the sign of sum terms according to whether the beginning joint or the ending joint is connected to the support. But if the convention is changed to matrix displacement method, a new reaction formula based on element-end forces can be deduced and efficiently solve the deficiency, and then, can also decrease the complication in teaching and programming.
Abstract:From the perspective of administrative staff in secondary college, according to the problems in the current test paper quality supervision and evaluation, such as limited evaluation plan, complex index system, over-meticulous evaluation method and complicated operation procedure, the paper carried out some innovation, built up a new evaluation plan with the passive and active evaluation, accurate and general evaluation, point and area evaluation. The practice shows that there are some advantages including sufficient evaluation target, simplified evaluation index, efficient and operable calculating method. Abstract:Practice teaching is very important in the teaching system of architecture and civil engineering specialty. Analyzed the practice teaching principle, based on the multi-element intelligence theory, constructivism learning theory and practice consciousness theory, the multimember and tri-dimensional practice teaching mode was established: exoteric experiment mode, multi-knowledge intersection and multi aptitude group based on project mode, produce-study-research cooperation mode, double tutor mode, and dummy practice mode. Abstract:In view of the unfavorable current teaching defects of worn experimental device, single function, less information, general framework and layout of open experimental teaching platform are developed based on information technology, with the idea of open, interaction, convenience and utility. Testing machine, system soft and teaching documents for the mechanics experiment are integrated in the platform; network software and corresponding functional modules are developed for the platform; the platform composition, experiment process and its implementation effects are represented in detail. Using the platform, open experimental teaching for mechanics of materials is networked comprehensively, efficiency is improved largely and learning passion of students is trigged. The platform improved the forming of the students’ creative thinking.

Abstract:Analyzed the principle and characteristics of the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, and the application of the highway route quality evaluation, based on the quality evaluation characteristics of road route and requirements of survey production practice, the paper put forward three-level fuzzy comprehensive assessment model of survey production practice quality evaluation. According to specifications on design indexes regulation, the paper determined the weight index systems, established fuzzy practice quality evaluation system, and wrote assessment program by CARD/1 platform. Case study showed that the evaluation process is concise, and the evaluation results are objective and accurate.

Abstract:In the teaching reform of construction mechanics, numerical simulation provides a diversity method for mechanics teaching. Abstract:Since the reform and open policy, the growth of market economy has brought vitality to universities development, however, given new challenges to the security work. Security work takes an important role in maintaining healthy, sustaining and harmony development of universities, so the paper analyzed the reason why the security work in university was marginalization. With analysis of the experiences of university security work in USA and Canada, proposed some countermeasures to change the university security work, such as making position explicit, enhancing staff qualities, cultivating service conscious, and developing innovative ability, etc.
