Abstract:The article refers to the capability and necessity of cultural expression of modern architecture, and shows the cultural connotation of modern architecture by means of pursuing disciplinary combination and inosculating tradition and history during the process of cultural architecture design. Transformation between cultural connotation and form and space is quested through the education practice in junior class of architecture at Wuhan University. With the design of Tujia folk custom museum, Luojia academy, library of Tanhualin historic area and theme-based settlement novation, how to utilize variation of space, combination of form and abstract of cultural elements to realize poetic presentation of cultural architecture is explored.

Abstract:According to the characteristics of classroom teaching for infrastructure engineering specialty in research universities, a teaching quality assessment index system is established from the students’ teaching evaluation. And then, the relationship of the relative membership between mood operator and quantitative scale is used to determine the index weight. Finally, the variable fuzzy sets and assessment model are put into use to evaluate classroom teaching quality quantitatively. A case study is testified to prove the variable principle and calculating steps of the fuzzy sets and the feasibility and effectiveness of this model as well.

Abstract:This paper analyzes the current information disclosure status of local universities and colleges of undergraduate course through sampling survey in Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Tianjin. The existing problems are as follows: the ambiguous boundary between information work and school work; the imbalance in the promotion of information disclosure; the irregularity in the progress of information disclosure; further improvement in the awareness of local universities and colleges of undergraduate course of information disclosure. Based on this, some improvement countermeasures are put forward to increase the publicity of information work in local universities and colleges of undergraduate course, such as straighten management system, advance security conditions, strengthen the supervision of examination, and innovate open form.

Abstract:In this paper, some issues on teaching and textbook contents of concrete bridge in bridge engineering curriculum are discussed. The frame and contents of some textbooks at home and abroad can be adopted as exemplary material. The proposed amendments include the introduction of the division of D-regions and B-regions, the implementation of the force flow method, and conceptual design for concrete bridges. The textbooks of bridge engineering, as first authoritative learning materials for students, should be well-written, informative and illustrative.

Abstract:According to characteristics and career prospects of junior college students majored in engineering cost management, the characteristics of the engineering structure curriculum are analyzed. It emphasizes the structure conceptual design, the profound understanding of the design formula and engineering parameters and learns to analyze disciplines in the graphs and tables. Multimedia such as live-action photos, animation, video, 3D models and calculation software is applied to promote the teaching effect, and the concrete practical teaching methods that can help the students to achieve abilities of recognizing engineering drawings and capacity of problem analysis processing are given.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of globalization in civil engineering and education, this paper proposed the importance and necessity of setting up the course of international civil engineering management. It is further proposed the course should cover all aspects of the latest development in civil engineering, such as the common practices in project management, the impact of cultural differences, the challenging role of leaders and leadership, the complexity of market characteristics, and the operation and influence of professional and trade associations. In order to integrate theory with practice, it is highly recommended that case studies are used in the teaching and students are encouraged to work collaboratively towards their assessment. Finally,a multi-scale assessment is introduced to evaluate students’ learning outcome, including their ability to think critically, their presentation skills and teamwork spirit.

Abstract:High-rise building structure design is not only a specialized and practical course, but also a very important core course in the branch of architectural engineering of civil engineering. Logicality and high practice are characteristics of the course.In the teaching process, the urgent problem to be solved is how to arouse students’ interest in learning high-rise building structure design.Based on the teaching practice of high-rise building structure design, the existing problem in the teaching content is summarized, some meaningful exploration on teaching method is carried out, and some suggestion for the teaching reform of the course is proposed. Abstract:The engineering education mode of CDIO is the achievement of international engineering education reform in recent years. CDIO aims to cultivate all-round innovative engineering and technical personnel. Electric circuit, a both science and engineering course, is the first specialized basic course for the students of electronic information specialty. The necessity of circuit teaching reform is analysis, and the engineering and scientific researches throughout teaching process are focused on. The teaching mode and realization way of electric circuit course based on CDIO education ideas is introduced. Abstract:On the basis of the aim of subject construction and the rule of teaching program file published by university, the teaching program of the curricula subgrade and pavement engineering is modified based on the new specification in this article. The contents modified are as follows: the teaching contents, about the multilayer system of asphalt pavement structure is turned into three layer system, is added into the chapter of asphalt pavement structure design; the teaching contents of the cement pavement structure is replaced with new contents in the new specification of cement pavement structure design; the exercises teaching contents and its class period of pavement structure design is added; the teaching courseware of the pavement engineering curricula based on the new specifications is compiled. This teaching reform about subgrade and pavement engineering can help to perfect the teaching program, improve the teaching quality, and make the students master the newest knowledge in time.
