Abstract:Research on architectural history of foreign countries course teaching can be classified in three kinds which are exploration of teaching method, study on the teaching content and review on the teaching history and famous educationists. We researched on teachers’ quality in architectural history of foreign countries course teaching from four aspects, including research on architectural history, the field trip for architectural history, their cognition degree of architectural history, and the campus environment for teaching architectural history.

Abstract:With evaluation of engineering specialties as the orientation, an education system of civil engineering specialty with regional characteristics was constructed, which was an available way to serve for regional economic construction and improvement of education quality. In Inner Mongolia University of Technology, the education and teaching quality was improved progressively under some effective measures of optimizing teachers team, innovating cultivate schedule and building perfect specialty teaching plat, and the level of specialty education was increased in all domains.

Abstract:The acquisition of knowledge, curriculum schedule, curriculum evaluation, and practice in current civil engineering professional teaching and training in universities and colleges were discussed. According to the growth and development of students and taking into account the different age teachers working characteristics, a reform program was put forward. The education idea of comprehensive training was also put forward. The teaching reform method of update teaching content and a small size of the class were introduced. A new assessment standard of the student achievement was put forward based on the whole social demands of talent training. The implementation of school-enterprise cooperation training mode was also introduced. Finally the establishment and reform plan of the tutorial system for undergraduate students were discussed.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the excellent engineer talent cultivation plan, we researched and developed a talent training program of building environment and equipment engineering specialty. Abstract:Based on the demand of architectural industry and design of college student’s training plan, we analyzed whether graduates can fulfill companies’ expect by follow-up surveys for graduates and related companies managers. Moreover, by inspecting BUCEA’s training plan, we summarized the experience and problems during the process of its design and implementation. To solve the problems both for graduates and companies in the job market, we presented solutions for the training plan design which may provide typical analysis methods and conclusion.

Abstract:More and more colleges set up architecture majors with the development of Chinese economy, including arts institutions. With domestic architectural education integrated into international standards, many famous traditional universities reform their teaching system of architecture from the mid-1990s to cope with the implementation of the licensing examination for registered architects. As special major combined practical skills with art, architecture majors in art colleges should carry on teaching reform in connect with the registered qualification system. Only in this way, they can improve students’ abilities of innovation and artistic accomplishment, as well as abilities of techniques while taking the advantages of artistic disciplines platform. Students cultivated under this mode will have better design capacity and broader employment prospects.

Abstract:We studied an overview of higher engineering education in the United States, emphasizing on the cultivating patterns, professional certification system and registered engineer system. The cultivating patterns of universal genius education, opening teaching and university-enterprise cooperation, and the close contacts among engineering education, professional certification standards and certificated engineer system, help the U.S. universities produce qualified engineers, who can solve practical problems and meet the industrial needs. Abstract:As a modern industry powerful country, France plays an important role in the world. This relates to the unique engineer education model. The French engineer education model from the student selection, curriculum, internship, and employment status aspects were explored and analyzed. Compared with French engineer education, our existing engineering education has many problems such as weak relationship with the enterprises and the neglect of the integrated capability of students. Its reference to Chinese engineering education was presented as well, including elite education and enhancing the relationship with enterprises.

Abstract:The unit-load method is often used to calculate the displacement of statically indeterminate structure in structural mechanics to find the actual displacement state and the virtual unit-load state and combine both states to solve displacement. However, the enormous workload will arise when this method is used to solve the statically indeterminate structures bearing complex loads. A new unit-load method, which was improved by the displacement reciprocal theorem, put the loads acted on the original structure to any one of its force-method primary structures, and combined this state with the virtual state whose unit-load acted on the original structure to solve displacement. Since the primary structure was statically determined, the workload would be efficiently decreased. Thus, the improved method is valuable in practical application of structural mechanics teaching and provides a new option for teachers and students as an addition of the course contents.

Abstract:In the teaching of suspension bridge, the main cable saddle and the relative position of the tower, cable saddle preliminary deviator, cable saddle pushing principle understanding are difficult. The structure chart for the relative position of the saddle and the tower should be appropriately complemented, and the relative position and preliminary deviator calculation formula were deduced. The main rope saddle line and the center line of the main tower generally are not coincidence, preliminary deviator is to point out an empty line state to ensure the main tower vertical and set the rope saddle offset, and jacking times and pushing quantity can be adjusted. It enriched the content of the teaching material which can help students understand this part and improve their learning interest of the suspension bridge.

Abstract:We presented brief analysis of steel structure teaching, illustrated the application of three-dimensional digital model in various fields in the modern society, pointed out the advantage of the node design of steel structure teaching by using three-dimensional digital model, and proposed the use of PKPM to build steel structure three-dimensional digital model in detail. The practice shows that using three-dimensional digital model in teaching can achieve better teaching effect than that of traditional teaching.

Abstract:Based on civil engineering planning teaching materials hosted to write by Guizhou Normal University named housing architecture, we expound four innovative ideas for the teaching material compilation and introduced the teaching style of presentation and content features. Four aspects, including the order of principle and structure introduction, the fact that textbook contents lagging behind the industry development, regional characteristics of building construction, and the role of textbook in cultivating students’ engineering quality and innovation ability, were presented. The textbook construction under the digital campus curriculum was also put forward.

Abstract:The task and characteristics of civil engineering constrution course for engineering management speciatly were analyzed and the deficiency in teaching was summarized and presented. Abstract:There is much to be improved in planting design teaching in architectural school. This paper discusses teaching objectives, teaching programs and contents, teaching methods of the planting design course of 2012 spring semester in South China University of Technology. It shows that with the limited course hours, it is necessary to combine theoretical teaching and on-the-spot practice, select necessary basic theoretical knowledge, set out reasonable objectives of plant identification, deliver effective methods of plant identification, establish appropriate coursework requirements, be supplemented with visual approaches to assist memory, and have a suitable ratio between students and teachers.

Abstract:To make students learn and understand the development background and the main content of foreign modern architecture history from a broader and more macroscopic view, the paper puts forward some exploration and suggestion about teaching of the foreign modern architecture history. The teaching should strengthen the relation among social background, artist history and ancient architectural history, and pay attention to the combination of history teaching with theory teaching. Meanwhile, teachers should emphasize the case analysis to strengthen the cultivation of students’ analysis ability. Abstract:The graduation design is the most important personnel training practice teaching link of universities and colleges, which tests students’ knowledge and comprehensive abilities. Based on the CDIO concept, we took the idea of large-scale engineering and life cycle as the main line and presented team graduation design content of the training mode on the basis of interdisciplinary and professional comprehensive knowledge. The guidance system combined the teaching of enterprise mentors and tutors, focusing on training students’ engineering, teamwork, communication and coordination abilities and their innovation spirit, to promote the quality of graduation project of civil engineering constantly. Abstract:To keep pace with the times and the development of the industry, colleges and universities had added the engineering information management course to their curriculum. Traditional teaching methods are no longer adaptable to this new course. We explored a new and feasible teaching mode of engineering information management course based on the QQ platform which is familiar and readily accepted by students. It was a combination of theoretical teaching and practice teaching. Through the guide in theoretical teaching, students can carry out practice activities independently according to certain processes. Therefore, the theory learned will master in practice. The new teaching mode can make up for deficiencies of the traditional teaching mode and can also mobilize the initiative of students. It had achieved good results in teaching practice.

Abstract:We pointed out that during the test teaching, the different standard should be comprehensively applied during the design experiment, the ability training to make comprehensive use of the various knowledge and skill should be paid more attention, and good habits for experiments should be developed, such as correctly modification, careful observation, complete records, and paying more attention to the scrupulousness of experimental process or operation. Finally, the 60 groups of mix proportion designed by undergraduates were discussed. The results shows that a part of parameters recommended by standard can be altered, such as the lower limit of water content in unit volume should be lowered to 140 kg/m3 or 145 kg/m3, and the upper limit of volume fraction of sand in mortar could be increased to 0.48. The results can provide a reference for improving the accuracy of research results and the level of experimental teaching.

Abstract:The happiness is a philosophical and ethical issue, and it is a real problem in a real-life. The topic of happiness in contemporary Chinese society continues to heat up and the issue of happiness is a universal concern. The concept of happiness of contemporary college students has obvious characteristics of the time, which is overall active and healthy but still with some problems such as too utilitarian understanding of happiness with hedonistic ideology, superficial understanding of happiness with too much attention on the role of money and material, and psychological dependence in the pursuit of happiness. To solve existing problems, we analyzed excessive and deep reasons, including social reasons, family reasons, school reasons and individual reasons. By analyzing causes of happiness concept of contemporary college students, we hope it can strengthen students’ happiness concept education.
