Abstract:Through reviewing the history of environmental design education, this article points out that environmental design is the art and design of human settlements, and the establishment of the discipline of environmental design is a milestone in design education. On the other hand, this discipline now encounters some puzzled problems, such as the role of art or design, and integration or differentiation of its sub -disciplines. The results show that environmental design should continue to uphold the educational philosophy of an overall living environment designed, rely on the first -level discipline of design, with the professionally oriented education set a reasonable system of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and explore the technical scientific issues of environmental design.

Abstract:The main goal of the landscape architectural design course is to cultivate students’ capability in tackling architectural and environmental problems. Abstract:With the rapid development of water conservancy project construction in China, the social demand for hydropower subject high-level talent is prominent. In order to cultivate high-level talents who conform to the need of the water conservancy project development, combines with the characteristics of hydropower engineering, the feasibility to establish successive bachelor-master-doctor training mode for hydropower engineering students have been discussed. Course system reform methods, the key points of establishing tutorial and evaluation system considering shortening the training cycle with good continuity have been studied. Advices have been presented.

Abstract:Currently, key problem of underground space construction in China is that underground space planning is divorced from ground urban design and relevant researchers focus more on engineering technicalization rather than formation of urban integrated environment. As increase of demand for more urban underground space, demand for planners and designers on belowground space development goes up as well. In consideration of personnel training current situation of urban and rural planning, architecture as well as urban underground space planning in colleges and universities, it is necessary to reform training program and teaching system for planners and designers of underground space development according to professional skill requirement of underground space utilization in a new phase, in order to meet the need for a large amount of professionals in the field of urban underground space development in large and medium -sized cities in China.

Abstract:It’s the important historical mission of universities to train the creative & practical of students. The landscape architecture university needs to study and solve the problem of innovative design talents. The paper summarizes the conception and connotation of innovative talents, which are innovative conscious, innovative thought and innovative ability. The landscape design competition has three basic characteristics that are exploration, comprehensive and subjectivity, and three phase of design progress that are finding location, making planning concepts and enabling the concepts space. So the competition is the important carrier of training the creative, practical and teamwork spirit of students. It proposes that during the competition progress in the phase of finding location it should stimulate the innovative conscious, in the phase of making planning concepts it should stimulate the creative thought, and in the phase of enabling the concepts space it should training the innovative ability. The paper probes them from three levels that are the task of phase, training objectives and methods, in order to expand the effective platform for training the innovative design talents of landscape architecture.

Abstract:The joint international design workshop have launched five times between the Architecture Department of Sichuan University and Denmark VIA University. Being in charge of this project, the writer witnessed the whole process of growth and development. According to the conducting and results of the joint international design workshop and the different performances of Chinese and Danish students, the improvements needed of our architecture education has been proposed. The results are based on the analysis of features of Danish architecture education system, which tightly combine with practical projects and focus on training students’comprehensive ability and self-problem solving ability.

Abstract:The education of residential building design is lagging behind, the content of courses, teaching methods and assessment strategies all need to be advance with the times and keep up with market demands. The paper basing on the design theory of residential buildings course in Suzhou University of Science and Technology, is reformed in original syllabus and textbooks aiming at more clear logic, outstanding focus, following frontier and inspired self. The course content are merged, deleted and added, and the teaching time of the course is reallocated, with the assessment methods being adjusted. These make the teaching logic of residential architectural design more clear, the teaching focus more outstanding, the teaching content more vivid, the assessment methods more flexible. Thus, it can better connect with the design market.

Abstract:Soil mechanics is an important basic course of civil engineering. The present state of soil mechanics teaching is discussed. Abstract:Theory of soil mechanics is a sound base of geotechnical engineering, but most of the theories in soil mechanics are limited and open -ended because they are based on simplified tests and are highly abstracted from practical models, leading to errors when being used to solve ground problems. According to its character of being open -ended, the teaching and learning process of soil mechanics should stress on laboratory test and case study, as well as formal lecture. Based on writers’ experience in soil mechanics teaching, the reorganization of laboratory, establishment of exploring test and suggestion on typical case selection and preparation were discussed here.

Abstract:The postgraduate course of building safety technology has been set in civil engineering discipline of Beijing University of Technology according to the requirements of city building fire safety technology and development of subject research field. Based on the characteristics of this course and different knowledge background of students, the teaching reform on interdisciplinary knowledge has been taken. Probe on course contents selecting, teaching methods, teaching evaluation, strengthening the connection between theoretical and practical engineering has been carried out. Abstract:On the basis of analysis on existing problems of the traditional finite element teaching method to undergraduates, the finite element software is introduced to course teaching. Abstract:In order to improve the undergraduates’ training quality,the role in the competition of talent cultivation in colleges and universities was explored,the proposition and organizational level of civil engineering structure design competition were improve,and a fair competition environment in civil engineering disciplines was build. Combined with the proposition design and game practice hosted the second session of the university student structural design competition in hunan province,the competition rules and the problem characteristics and the innovation points of contest problems design were analysis,to discuss the measures to promote fair competition and the lack of competition rules. Abstract:Engineering project management is a practical course which pays more attention to the combination of theory and practice. In order to combine the course teaching with engineering practice closely, to make the students deeply understand the theory and method of engineering project management through engineering practice, and to develop the student’s ability to analyze and solve the practical problems, the sand table simulation of project management teaching based on “sandwich” mode is introduced in this paper. It designs the simulation process of the whole program for project management teaching based on “sandwich” mode which provides a theoretical foundation for the simulation. On basis of that, some suggestions were proposed to promote the project management teaching by sand table. It provides a strong support to implement the practice teaching of sand table simulation.

Abstract:For these questions, such as the deficiency of experimental training conditions, which the professional degree graduate students of municipal engineering face, and the limit of funding used for reconstruction of campus environment, it is proposed that planning and construction of intramural base about professional experiment training should be relied on the existing teaching resources of experimental practice and combined with the reconstruction project of campus. On the condition of saving resources, it is established that planning scheme, which is combined with campus landscape and humanities environment, of the base used for public and professional experimental training of professional degree graduate. Its construction is closely involved with training standards of professional degree students major in municipal engineering, combined with the needs of off -campus practice base and the planning of campus reconstruction as well as focused on all kinds of teaching projects of professional training experiment. By building the teaching system of experimental campus training of full -time professional degree graduate, the ability of innovation and practice of graduate, the campus facilities and the humanities environment can be improved.

Abstract:The scientific achievement transformation of collaboration innovative center is an advanced question. On the one hand, the current proportion of scientific research achievements transformed into productivity in our country and in universities is low. The main reason is the rigid scientific system and the laggard development. On the other hand, according to the 2011 plan, collaboration innovative centers based on universities are good for the current scientific system in the design of scientific system. Therefore, research on the scientific achievement transformation of collaboration innovative centers is beneficial for the transformation of scientific system in universities. In the present paper, we firstly explained briefly the concept of collaboration innovative center and then analyzed the main difficulty in the scientific achievement transformation of collaboration innovative centers in universities. We also analyzed the structure of collaboration innovative centers and indicated that collaboration is its essential idea. Abstract:Good academic atmosphere is not only an element and guarantee of elite foster, but also an important measure and eternal subject of sustainable development of modern universities. This paper presents a case of a college under a university in Chongqing as an example. Two methods were employed in this study for observation and analysis of academic atmosphere construction situation and optimization, which are questionnaire survey and on -site interviews. Abstract:Taking a university in east China as an example, students’ discipline violation number, scale, category, reasons and developing with time were made a comprehensive investigation and analysis from 1981 to 2010. It was found that causes of student discipline violation were cheating in exam, absent from class and fighting with each others respectively according to the number of rule -breakers, in which cheating in exam occupies the most part and tend to increase with year. Based on these findings, some suggestions such as building faithful and harmony campus, carrying out ideal and faith education, strengthening college students’ psychological counseling and building various preventive measures are put forward to avoid as far as possible the happening of college students’ discipline violations, which will lay a foundation for the cultivation of high quality talents for our country.
