Abstract:The collaborative innovation is another major strategic deployment after the Project 211 and Project 985 by the government. It brings great opportunities and challenges for the education reform in colleges and universities in China. This paper compared the differences existed among the first planed and led units as well as the local colleges and universities in 2011 in the aspect of scientific research platforms from the talent advantages, the academic disciplines, the bases and so on. Abstract:To realize the teaching goal of architectural mechanics in architecture specialty, the problems and challenges of teaching and evaluation system in architectural mechanics are analyzed in this paper. Abstract:Construction management is a discipline with strongly practice character. The graduate design is the most important phase to train the student for solving practice problems. Considering the national college education standard for construction management being issued in this year, a survey conducted about graduate design, which are named Capstone course, of construction management major in Georgia Institute of Technology (Gatech) of USA. Abstract:Traditional case teaching method is improved on the engineering construction regulations course through the teaching practice, and then whole process case teaching method has been put forward. This method changes the traditional teaching arrangement, and analyzing the legal laws and regulations in construction procedures. It selects the corresponding classical engineering case according to the time sequence of engineering construction procedure, and then analysis, discussion and comment. The case not only can enhance students’awareness of the law, and learn other social practice knowledge, but also can enhance students’ ability for regulatory issues in engineering construction. Which can effectively avoid business risks, distinguish all kinds of trap in practical engineering. Abstract:The professional survey course was one of indispensable links in the teaching system for civil engineering. While they were tend to be ignored in the teaching. The investigation on the civil engineering major professional survey courses was carried out in representative 10 colleges. Divergent teaching method was developed by pointed discussions. The method contained divergent teaching, studying and testing. The method was explained by the professional survey course hydrology of bridge and culvert. With the method applying to civil engineering major, the single teaching methods, students’passive learning situation and the simply course assessment were changed. It’s demonstrated that the method realized the interactive teaching.

Abstract:Fundamental principles of reinforced concrete, as the core professional course, was implemented by bilingual education in many colleges in the past years. The teaching effectiveness was not good due to some factors, including faculty, English level of students, text books and language?environments. Based on the teaching practice in Wuhan University and other colleges, some countermeasures are put forward, including deploying grade teaching, using Chinese textbook combined with self-compiled English textbook, applying English teaching material with Chinese translation and reinforcing faculty training.
