Abstract:In 2012, WANG Shu won the Pritzker Architecture Prize who was the only one in China to gained the award. This was a sign that the architectural design in China began to get attention and recognition in international. Although many people in China devoted to architectural design and the amount of construction was the first in the world for many years, but few great architectures recognized by international architecture. Abstract:At present, the innovation made on education by architecture in higher education has become the focus of architectural education field. The key point is still the transition from theoretical imparting to professional practice, which reflects the need of up-to-date architectural education and the conflict between solidified pattern of classroom teaching and multiple techniques demanded by social developing to architects. Except architecture itself, future architects should also consider social issues. Abstract:The whiteboard writing teaching method and handwritten projection teaching method in American are introduced. Theoretical and survey comparison with teaching methods commonly used in China were done. The results showed that both the whiteboard writing teaching method and handwritten projection teaching method have the advantage of no dust. the of white board writing teaching method is approved by teachers and students for better show effect than that of blackboard handwriting, while the handwritten projection method isn’t welcomed by students because of show effect. Teachers and students in science and engineering flied tend to writing teaching method, while teachers and students in literature, art, economy, management and law flied tend to multimedia teaching method.

Abstract:With the increasingly internationalization of engineering education, the education reform and development trend for construction engineering management (CEM) is to set up effective professional programmatic accreditation system which is substantial equivalence with international accreditation system. The status of professional accreditation for CEM is analyzed first, then through drawing on the concepts, contents and standards of the Washington Accord, the enlightenment is achieved for the accreditation reform of CEM, i.e., transforming core concept of accreditation, linking the role of accreditation with registered engineer system, changing the way of accreditation, closely connecting with the industry field as well as advancing with the times. These will lay strong foundation for the revision of accreditation documents on CEM and improvement of accreditation system.

Abstract:The paper takes Tongji University as an example to discuss how the geological engineering major answers the call from the National Ministry of Education on cultivating high-quality innovative talents, and makes further efforts to reform and improve new training mode which is conducive to the cultivation of students’innovative ability. As the optimization and reform of the original training mechanism, successive bachelor-master-doctor mode can cultivate students with integrated geological expertise. Abstract:Developing graduate students’ abilities play an important role in the graduate training system. However, training mode with insufficient attention to capability training has some disadvantages, such as course system limitation, simple teaching method and backward evaluation mechanism. It should be reformed to adapt to current society. The capability-oriented graduate training mode has been established with the characteristics of hydraulic structure engineering. Abstract:Engineering mechanics is the basic course in civil engineering. The students’professional competence can be enhanced by teaching method reform. This article describes six aspects in the teaching reform attempts: inducing the students to establish correct view of life and professional ethics, enhancing the relationship between learning and engineering practice, improving the evaluation system by the way of open homework, establishing the relationship with following courses, improving the diversity of experimental contents, improving the student competency in mechanics competitions. These attempts show that these measures were recognized by the students,and can effectively strengthen the professional competence.

Abstract:Based on the questionnaire survey in College of Civil Engineering of Inner Mongolia University of Technology, this paper compares three kinds of teaching methods:traditional teaching method, multimedia teaching method and a combination teaching method. The data analysis demonstrated that traditional teaching methods, while most widely accepted, prove ineffective. The use of multimedia methods, although to some extent more effective than the traditional methods, also failed to achieve the desired result. A combination of the two methods, however, resulted in more effective teaching than focusing exclusively on a particular teaching method. Additionally, this paper offers some suggestions for reforming about structural mechanics combined with teaching experience.

Abstract:Based on teaching practice of brief introduction to environmental engineering for civil engineering, the paper analyzes the reform and practice of teaching content,teaching method and assessment method to cultivate talents mastering many skills while specializing in civil engineering. As for the teaching content,based on teaching the basic principle and basic knowledge of environmental engineering, all kinds of environmental problems and resource conservation in civil engineering should be emphasized to strengthen pertinence and practicability of the course. Abstract:Whether the project management employees can pass construction qualification examinations or not is considered to be one of the important evaluation criteria of practice ability by the society and industry. However, the teaching of project management specialty doesn’t adapt to these examinations and consequently the undergraduates of the specialty fail to meet the needs of society. Nantong University implemented teaching reforms in building laws and regulations course to aim at the construction qualification examinations. These reforms included revising course syllabus, optimizing the teaching content, innovating the teaching methods and course assessment, and proposed the measures and method of talent training for engineering management.

Abstract:A new bilingual teaching mode are explained based on the characteristics, difficulties and practice in large-class teaching of steel structure design principle course. Firstly expertise and design philosophy should be main body and language skill be carrier in the bilingual teaching orientation. Limit design approach is applied to bridge the classic mechanisms and steel design course as well as selection of teaching content based on the traditional teaching mode divided by the structural behavior levels. Abstract:There were many insufficiency of the traditional practice teaching mode of civil engineering which was proceed according to exercise, curriculum design and graduation design, due to the restriction of objective condition such as number of student, funds, tutor deploying and the exercise circumstance. The practice teaching mode of the resolving of architecture model was explored and summarized. The effect and contribution of the segments of the pattern to the civil engineering skills accomplishment was analyzed. The practice teaching mode was easy to operate because of breaking through the restriction of traditional practice teaching mode. Abstract:Bridge engineering practice is an important part of the civil engineering specialty practice teaching. Problems of bridge engineering practice teaching are analyzed and suggestions are proposed. Based on the teaching sequence, characteristics of cognition practice, construction practice and graduation practice are analyzed, knowledge acquired of the students are discussed. The reasons in terms of practice time, practice contents, construction site, practice management, etc. are analyzed. Some suggestions are provided, such as construction site selection, establishing practice base, strengthening site explain, supplement bridge construction lecture, adding video resources, etc. Proposed measures have achieved good results for practice teaching in recent years and these suggestions may be referenced by similar practice teaching.

Abstract:Model is the bridge connecting ideas and actual architecture.There’s intimate connections between conceptions of architecture design and working models. In the architecture education, it is proved to be effective to enhance the ability of spatial awareness and design communication by using working models. The study bases on the teaching cases, puts forward the point of using working models with proper procedures taking apart complicated architectural concept issues. The logic of space and conformation structure,the expression of material and structures can be trained in this process. The space prototype can be obtained based on comprehension of the design requirements and the model material. The structure and module assists to forming a logic of design ideas and the operation method. Thus the material can be talked over to help space integration. Finally, the working model leads to formal drawings and models.

Abstract:The strong theoretical and broad knowledge of engineering fluid mechanics make the teaching and learning of this course difficult. In this paper, according to the characteristics of fluid mechanics, in combination with the years of teaching practice of Engineering fluid mechanics, CFD software and source program is introduced into the auxiliary teaching of engineering fluid mechanics. Some examples of numerical simulation in the teaching of engineering fluid mechanics by using the CFD software and source code are given in this paper. The basic structure and teaching mode based on the numerical simulations are probed. The practice proved that the teaching pattern supplied a gap of traditional theoretical and experimental teaching and obtained preferable effects.
