With the rapid development of urbanization and the proposal of "marine economy demonstration area" and "coastal economic zone", dramatic changes different from the past have taken place in the spatial structure of coastal cities. This paper selected more than 30 coastal cities of China as study object, which are typical in coastal city cluster and witness a relatively rapid development of urbanization. From the angels of external form, function layout and internal space, it discussed the general characteristics of spatial structure evolution of coastal cities in the stage of rapid urbanization. It not only contributed to the cognition of spatial development trend of coastal cities, but also provided a theoretical basis and support for the prevention of urban problems and disasters caused by spatial structure evolution.

    Abstract:
Soil mechanics is a course with sound theoretical basis. The content of this course, from both its scope and depth, is very suitable for students to practice their exploratory thinking ability. Taking the teaching of stress history as an example, this paper explored the teaching methods facing scientific research in teaching of soil mechanics. Teachers can guide students to think actively by proposing a series of questions regarding the teaching content, and then students can understand the teaching content by solving these questions. Based on this, teachers can extend the teaching content and introduce students to think in a more open sight. This makes students know related frontier problems and new developments regarding the teaching content. By guiding students in active thinking, this teaching method can achieve a good effect by helping students both in understanding the content more profoundly, and in enlightening their scientific research abilities.

    Abstract:
To adapt to the development trend of inquiry teaching reform in higher education, and enhance the classroom attraction, the flipped classroom teaching mode was analyzed. Combined with the teaching requirements of engineering courses in universities, the characteristics of courses suitable for the mode of flipped classroom was set forth. The contrast teaching of flipped classroom and traditional classroom was carried out in soil mechanics course. The students were divided into A group and B group. Students of A group joined in flipped classroom and information transmission process wasfinished before class through micro learning video. The teacher designed learning problems to guide the group discussions and the knowledge absorption process was completed in class. Students of B group joined in traditional classroom and they finished the learning problems after class by themselves. Teaching effect was analyzed through the questionnaire and the test in class. Analysis results showed that students of A group were higher than students of B group in the ability to understand and use knowledge.

    Abstract:
Structural design competition has become one of the most influential professional science and technology events for civil engineering students.Civil engineering students' application ability of professional knowledge could be assessed by this competition, thereby the feedback function of the competition are performed. According to the corresponding points of the structural design competition and professional courses, the professional course feedback index system was built. The questionnaire survey was designed based on the feedback index system. Based on the analysis of survey data of two years' school competition and the entity models submitted by students, the effect of students' application ability of professional knowledge was assessed, and then the results were reflected to the related course group. The research provided a quantitative basis for curriculum reform, meanwhile provided innovative ideas for the healthy development of students' subject competitions.

    Abstract:
In order to improve the engineering consciousness and collaborative innovation spirit of civil construction students, engineering graphical teaching staff should pay more attention to cultivating the graphics expression, team collaboration and engineering design ability of students. Combined with the teaching situation of traditional architectural drawing and design courses, based on the CDIO education concept and its characteristics, a new teaching mode was built and different teaching methods were used at different stages. The results showed that the new system can enhance the ability of space thinking, design innovation and practice of students. It also played a good role model for deepening the engineering graphics teaching reform.

    Abstract:
To measure the rationality and teaching effectiveness of practice teaching, appropriate evaluation on the effect of practice teaching is very necessary. The appropriate teaching quality evaluation can not only reflect the teaching effect, but also find shortcomings and deficiencies in the process of teaching so as to improve the practice teaching system. This paper took engineering management major in applied universities as an example, combined with the strong practicality characteristicand the specialty of this major, set up a practice teaching evaluation index system. By determining the index weight using the Delphi method and putting forward reasonable evaluation methods, this paper provided reference of practice teaching evaluation system for universities.
