Abstract:The transformation of economic and social development has brought about many changes and uneven development of higher education. During this process, the quality of talents training problem is particularly prominent. Therefore, the CPC Central Committee on several major issues of comprehensive reform decision and the third plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee directly and clearly put forward higher education reform and development has to innovative talents training mechanism in universities to promote the characteristics of universities to strive for excellence. Universities and educational authorities have to update their education ideas and theories, establish and improve the relevant talents training system. This paper analyzes the seven problems existing in the cultivation of talents in universities and puts forward to establishing a scientific teaching mechanism of cultivating talents in universities, establishing a management mechanism around personnel training and a wide range of social participation mechanisms, which provide useful reference to universities running and management.

Abstract:Through the teaching practice of the training mode of industrial design talents, explored the B+CDIO training mode to meet the "mass entrepreneurship and innovation background. Based on the engineering education concept of "conceive, design, implement, operation" training ideas, the proposed teaching practice were applied in four grade and achieved good results. It is shows that, through the training of B+CDIO, the students' theoretical knowledge and skills are significantly improved, the practical operation ability, innovation ability are both improved obviously.

Abstract:Engineering education professional accreditation is the internationally accepted engineering education standard. In order to understand the accreditation system deeply, to train the better professional talents to meet the needs of water conservancy construction, the training objectives of this specialty are studied on the basis of hydropower engineering background. The effective capability-oriented system in teaching process is discussed, and the course evaluation method is analyzed. Suggestions that accord with accreditation system have been presented to improve professional training level.

Abstract:The formulation, evaluation and improvement of undergraduate training goals are analyzed and discussed, combined with the engineering education accreditation of geological engineering of Tongji University. The major results are as follows:the goals formulation should be based on the need of society and our country, including the achievements of graduates in 5 years; the graduation requirements should be developed based on the details of the goals, so as establishment of a suitable training system; Meanwhile, improvement of current goals, graduation requirements and training system should be made continuously, based on the achievement evaluation, questionnaire feedback of graduates, and feedback from employer and society. The result of this research will not only keep students of Geological Engineering in Tongji University available to better and high-quality education, but also provide reference for other educational institutions in similar majors.

Abstract:In this paper, qualitative research method is used to analyze and deal with the interview data of university professors and engineering graduates. The purpose of this study is to explore the application of the undergraduate engineering talents with different perspectives of "learning" and "using" and provide guidance for the cultivation of engineering applied talents. The research results show that the competency of applied talents of undergraduate level mainly includes general competence, professional competence and quality. The study puts forward to strengthen the "general competence" as the basis of cultivating the competency of the undergraduate engineering applied talents; to enhance "professional competence" as the core of cultivating the competency of the undergraduate engineering applied talents; to train "quality" as the key point of cultivating the competency of the undergraduate engineering applied talents.

Abstract:Industry-university-institute cooperative education promotes the innovation and practical abilities of the graduate student. Abstract:The training mode of civil engineering in China and Singapore are compared with the example of Wuhan University and Nanyang Technological University. The training mode comparison includes 6 aspects, i.e. training goal, field, and course system, teaching method, practice and diploma design. The results show that the engineering skills about one single field are paid more attention by Wuhan University, while general quality including scientific research, comprehensive engineering technique, career power up, team spirit and career ethics, are emphasized by Nanyang Technological University. There is a much wider range of specialized course in Nanyang Technological University than in Wuhan University. The academic hours of civil engineering in Wuhan University is more than that in Nanyang Technological University. The study mode is mainly the teachers' teaching and students' listening in Wuhan University, while in Nanyang Technological University; the students study more independently so that the team spirit, argumentative skill and engineering communication skill are trained. As for practice, the scientific research ability is stressed by Nanyang Technological University, which is lack in Wuhan University. The amount of work and scope of diploma design in Nanyang Technological University is much larger than that in Wuhan University. According to the comparison of 6 aspects, some suggestions have been given for civil engineering training mode of Wuhan University and other universities, which can be used as reference for revision of civil engineering training mode in China.

Abstract:Foundation engineering course is an important specialized course of civil engineering. Abstract:In order to improve education quality and to inspire creative ability of postgraduates in school of civil engineering, the reformation and construction of postgraduates' professional basic curriculum "concrete structure" were carried out from the point of views, construction of the curriculum knowledge system and improvement of curriculum implementation means. The effects of the aspects, namely, adjustment of teaching content in real time, diversification of teaching mode and building of teaching team, on the improvement in the qualities of the curriculum and the talent cultivation were discussed in this paper. The teaching mode and method of the course of concrete structures applicable to postgraduates in the school of civil engineering was preliminarily established. Abstract:Geotechnical courses, including engineering geology, soil mechanics, foundation engineering and so on, have rich contents and strong practical features. Case teaching method has been introduced to teaching process of the courses. Based on the real engineering cases, case description has been written, which is closely linked to the engineering practice. Using engineering case teaching method, students practical skills are developed intensively. The study process is highlighted during the examination and evaluation of students. By means of the measures above, a relatively complete case teaching method system is established. In recent years, the teaching practices show that the case teaching method can achieve good results of solving the conflicts between class hours and teaching content, and training the practice ability.

Abstract:Engineering surveying is a specialty-related basic course in civil engineering major. Through the analysis of teaching and learning situation for the Excellent English Teaching Program, teaching material, making PowerPoint, teaching methods and evaluation methods of English course, this paper discusses the problem during the teaching activities. The different teaching innovation measures are studied and put forward. The teachers should adopt the research English teaching mode, make the major specialty vocabulary tables in English and Chinese, and motivate study interest. In addition, the teachers should improve the whole English teaching methods, enhance the teaching management at ordinary times, cultivate the learning ability and invite the overseas famous professors to teach. Field activities and course evaluation methods are innovated and improved. The effectiveness of teaching quality can be greatly enhanced. Abstract:The prime aim of running college and university is to cultivate students' practical ability and innovative spirit. Abstract:The postgraduate freshmen from architecture specialty at T University in 2016 were tested with Chinese College Student Mental Health Scale to explore the mental health. The results showed that:(1) The overall mental health status of the postgraduate freshmen in architecture specialty is good, 91.2% of people temporarily without psychological problems; But there are still 4.7% of the freshmen that may be more serious psychological problems, need to focus on and further diagnosis. (2) Compared with other factors, the factor of obsessive personality tendency of postgraduate freshmen in architecture specialty relative to the most, psychological tendency and psychosexual disorders relative to the least. (3) The differences, postgraduate freshmen in architecture specialty, the male in psychological tendency and psychosexual disorders were worse than female, not-only children in the psychosexual disorders were worse than only children. Compared with liberal arts, impulsive personality tendency of postgraduate freshmen in architecture specialty was more serious.
