    Abstract:
    The emerging engineering talent can support the rapid development of modern economy in China, hence it requires to innovate the training mode of the talents in universities,and promote the emerging engineering construction. The undergraduate tutorial system in College of Civil Engineering Tongji University, is launched in 2014, and is very important in the talent training of Emerging Engineering Education. This article takes undergraduate tutorial system in College of Civil Engineering Tongji University as an example, introduces the talent training requirements of Emerging Engineering Education, clarifies the specific content of the undergraduate tutorial system, and discusses the significance of the undergraduate tutorial system for training emerging engineering talents.

    Abstract:
    "Emerging Engineering Education"(3E) is proposed as the direction of China's engineering education reform, based on the new demand of national strategic development, new situation of global competition. It is very important that improve teaching based on multi-disciplinary for civil engineering in order to adapt to new requirements. Innovative ability is one of core goal of civil engineers' talents training, including innovative thinking, innovative skills, innovative consciousness, innovative vision and professional knowledge. There are two ways to improve civil engineers' innovation ability. One is improving innovative thinking based on multi-disciplinary integration of the curriculum system. The other is building the multi-level practice to enhance the innovative skills.

    Abstract:
    With the national promotion of the development strategy driven by design innovation, it also promotes the educational reform in the field of industrial design. In this paper, through the establishment of architecture in Emerging Engineering Education mode of industrial design education, build the training model of industrial design student based on new engineering. This paper implement on the teaching practice through industrial design undergraduate quick sketch design and other courses.     Abstract:
    One of the main objectives of the current educational reform is to strengthen quality education, which can cultivate the practical ability, scientific research quality and innovative spirit of students. Training program is the embodiment of the educational thought and idea of colleges and universities. Experimental teaching is the core of basic practice level for practice teaching system. The construction of teaching team is the key to train innovative talents in colleges and universities. Combined with the development status and talent demand of energy and power specialty, taking the comprehensive reform of energy and power engineering major in Shandong University of Science and Technology as an example, the exploration and effectiveness of the reform are illustrated from three aspects, including training program system, innovation and research-oriented experiment teaching mode, and teaching ability of young teachers.

    Abstract:
    Combined with the Outstanding Engineers Education Training Plan (OEETP) of civil engineering, the new concept of international engineering education, based on the education of railway traffic advantages and characteristics of existing civil engineering deep foundation and wide caliber mode, civil engineering excellence was found. The education node of "relying on the project, college-enterprise joint cultivation, equal emphasis on practice and innovation" was implemented under the program of integration of bridge, tunnel and railway. The standard culture for OEETP was constructed matching with the Washington Agreement. Training curriculum system with characteristics of thick foundation, stressing upon practice and pursuing innovation was established jointing with enterprise for three plus one year. Cooperating with enterprises, the dual track mode of reasonable mechanism about teachers' distribution, practice and innovation platform construction was found. The quality tracking and control system covering the whole process of personnel training was improved. The first batch of 77 OEETP students with solid foundation, strong ability of practice and innovation successfully graduated, which promoted the new mode of production-study-and-research mode. The new mode has played an exemplary role and radiation effect on the application engineering education in the new period.

    Abstract:
    In order to change the current situation of our engineering postgraduate students which is that the students have low engineering quality and weak practical abilities, based on the idea and practice of concept of large engineering, the training mode of production-study-research combination for professional degree of civil engineering specialty was explored. The engineering quality and practical abilities can be improved by the reform of the curriculum system, establishing the joint research training base of production-study-research combination, enterprise practice, establishing a reasonable quality evaluation system for postgraduate, and make full use of the education environment of university and enterprise to provide the best engineering practical platform for the students..

    Teaching mode based on the case teaching of Master of Engineering Management plays a significant role in helping students to learn and understand the project management theory and methods, improving the practical ability and ultimately cultivating social needs of advanced engineering management talent.     Abstract:
    The purpose of this paper is to draw instructive conclusions by analyzing differences between Chinese and foreign universities on civil engineering undergraduate education. Teaching methods were taken into consideration. Statistical data for 2014-2015 years on the Internet of 26 famous universities in China, USA and Europe were collected. After comparing differences of civil engineering curriculums from selected colleges, four aspects were analyzed such as the total number of teaching hours, course structure, general education curriculum and practical teaching. It is obvious that the combination of arts and liberal education are advocated in Chinese universities, and specialized courses are taken seriously in Europe universities while general education lessons are valued in American universities. There are also many differences among universities in three regions when referring to approaches of practical teaching. Chinese universities are mainly arranged for students to take internships and curriculum experiments, while American and European universities tend to adopt more closely in the form of school and enterprise cooperation in running schools.

    Abstract:
    This paper introduces the curriculum and education reforms by the civil engineering specialty of Tongji University under the goal for excellent engineer training in attempt to address typical issues of slow teaching content update, short class hours, limited learning from practice session and monotonous assessment approach in the teaching of civil engineering construction. The authors explore the advantages of hybrid teaching through diversified teaching content designs, including MOOC application, tailored teaching content and optimized assessment protocols. The teaching effect has been a definite improvement.

    Abstract:
    In order to improve the teaching results of structural mechanics, the teaching method of showing the abstract theories of structural mechanics by experiment measures is discussed. Based on the classical structural mechanics teaching, this teaching method adds experimental teaching process in three levels:enhance students' understanding of abstract theories in structural mechanics by demonstrative experiment in class, improve students' ability to link theory with practice through the comprehensive experiment and train students' study habit through questions and teachers' guide to solve the problem by exploratory experiment. By means of materializing abstract theories in structural mechanics, the teaching content can be more abundant, the comprehensive ability of the students can be enhanced and the purpose of quality-oriented education and innovative development can be achieved.

    In recent years, the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) and flipped classroom has gradually become the hotspot of reform in education globally, under the impetus of online teaching. The course of soil mechanics requires extensive pre-courses. It needs strong theoretical background, and its basic knowledge is abstract. Some content of this course has not enough preparatory knowledge; therefore, the students have great difficulty in studying this course. This paper introduce the way to re-designed and reconstructed the soil mechanics course based on the technique of MOOC and the feature of self-learning before teaching of the flipped classroom. This new teaching mode can be divided into three modules:before-class, in-class and after-class. For the reform of soil mechanics teaching, this new teaching mode can provide useful experience.

    Based on the current situation and development tendency of the steel bridge in China, the current teaching state and shortage of the steel bridge course were analyzed. On the basis of the cultivating mode of applied talents, the preliminary discussion and practice method aiming at the teaching reform of steel bridge course has been put forward. With the example of steel truss bridge teaching, using the question-heuristic teaching mode, learning initiative and self-directed learning ability of the students can then be motivated.     This paper optimizes the index assessment and grading standard, and formulating a more refined appraisal method to evaluate the students' achievements, according to the higher requirements for the examination of the surveying internship course, the comprehensive revision of the syllabus, and the teaching construction on this basis. The practical exploration and practice were carried out, and the scores of 2013, 2014 and 2015 grades were evaluated, the achievement of graduation requirement was evaluated, and the results showed that the index points reached the target value of the course and realized the teaching goal.     3D printing has a good application prospect in the civil engineering industry, while this frontier knowledge is not covered in the current teaching. 3D print node assembly model was first introduced in the ninth national structure contest for college students. Taking the competition works of Hunan University of Science and Technology as an example, the application of 3D print in structure design for college students was expounded from the point of design, optimization and installation. The structure was well assembled with 3D print node by sticking, inserting, wedging and interlinking.
