Abstract:The integration of general education and professional education is a requirement for higher education in China with the economic and social development, but also an inevitable choice for higher education to adapt to the economic and social development actively. In new era, the integration of general education and professional education cannot develop independently without innovative education, and it should be guided with the innovate education. Abstract:As an indispensable part of civil engineering higher education courses, structural dynamics is applied to help designers to analyze and optimize the structural response under dynamic loadings. This paper studied the curriculum provision of structural dynamics course of Tongji University, UC Berkeley, National University of Singapore and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and compared each of them by course requirements, course contents and so on. Conclusions that the curriculum provision of structural dynamics course is connected with research features, characteristics of graduate education and locations were drawn. The corresponding reform schemes suitable for China conditions were put forwarded.

Abstract:It explored the characteristics and possible problems of application-oriented undergraduate teaching practice, taking the case of Chongqing University of Science & Technology. On this basis, it discussed the characteristics of application-oriented undergraduate teaching mode in Queensland University of Technology, from the point view of teaching design and management, implementing conditions as well as evaluating mechanism. By comparing the differences between the two universities, it provided some possible references for improving the application-oriented undergraduate teaching quality in China. Initially, universities should strengthen the application-oriented educational philosophy. Furthermore, universities should attach great importance to the role of resources sharing and collaborative education between campus and enterprises in teaching process. Additionally, it was better to establish an achievement-oriented teaching mode and supervisory mechanism.

Abstract:Recently, guiding by the discipline ranking assessment standard, Chinese higher education care too much about researching instead of teaching, many universities pay little attention to engineering practice and comprehensive ability training. As we know, architecture is not a pure engineering major, but the demands from market are involved lots of engineering technical skill. Therefore, in new era, fully understanding the nature of CDIO should be an important purpose for local universities which aim to cultivate engineering-applied architectural talents. Taking Jilin Jianzhu University as an example, the paper carries out a four-level coupling system framework of CDIO, the first level is macro framework of training program, which is lead by dean and director, the second level is medium link of curriculum system, which is dominated by head of department, the third level is micro support of specific courses, which is organized by teams leader, and the fourth level is implement of class teaching, which is applied by teachers and students. At the same time, the paper introduces some teaching optimizations on architecture teaching processes based on the idea of CDIO in Jilin Jianzhu University. As a conclusion, the CDIO ideas and training patterns are on the same page with the cultivating requirements of engineering-applied architectural talents in local universities, to import ideas of CDIO and patterns in architectural education can meet the market requirements for creative talents, and convenient for students to adopt real work.

Abstract:The civil engineering specialty faced enormous challenges to the application-oriented transformation in various universities. Based on this, the paper analyzed and summarized the existing problems in the present talents cultivation mode in Dalian Ocean University, and put forward a number of related solutions, such as guided by practicing qualification registered engineer system, locating the talents cultivation target and ability requirements, optimizing the structure of curriculum knowledge and content, utilizing the internet innovation teaching methods, strengthening practice teaching management, perfecting the talent assessment and evaluation mechanism, and intensifying the construction of double type teaching staff. A full range of engineering education reform of the civil engineering was executed to realize moderate cohesion between the knowledge and the latest practice registration system, and further building regional engineering applied talents training system with distinctive features. These measures can improve students' engineering application ability and employability, and also provide the idea and reference for the construction of civil engineering in similar universities across the country.

Abstract:The experiences and lessons were reflected and summarized according to the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program of civil engineering specialty for these years. Some practical problems in the progress of teaching reformation were discussed, such as scheduling the training plan, the choice of cooperative enterprises, engaging enterprise teachers, learning time in enterprises and acceptance ability of enterprise practice base. Finally, the new trial program-vocational education group based on the cooperation of university and enterprise was introduced briefly.

Abstract:The projects of teaching quality and teaching reform of higher education in China have been constructing and a large number of high-quality video open classes, MOOC, quality video sharing classes are arising extensive attention. The enthusiasm of applying flipped classroom mode has been increasing since its import to Chinese educational practitioners. Application and development situation of flipped classroom mode have been analyzed on the background of innovative country construction and talent strategy in the paper. In order to promote the cultivation of innovative talents, curriculum system of civil engineering specialty has been revised and support system for applying the flipped classroom mode in civil engineering courses has been built. The overall design of teaching mode has been designed and the specialized knowledge is divided. Teaching structure has been re-designed to ensure the teaching efficiency. Furthermore, the concept of learning effect assessment system is clarified, which provides reference for science and engineering specialties.

Abstract:The ground and foundation engineering course in Beihang University is based on the classic theory framework, and has carried on the reform of teaching contents, teaching methods and curriculum design. The teaching effect of the course after reform has been improved and approved by undergraduates. The ground and foundation engineering courses after the reform aims to improve students' comprehensive ability, and has formed the perfect theory curriculum system based on special engineering examples, the engineering practice, discussion lesson and scientific-research-based lesson. At the same time, the ground and foundation engineering courses after the reform has formed the innovative practice design system based on the geotechnical contest and actively promotes the innovative teaching. Abstract:Based on the background of the research on the construction of the road and bridge course group of civil engineering specialty in application-type university, this paper dissects the existing problems in the teaching of road and bridge courses, analyzes the principle of curriculum group construction, and then the road and bridge engineering course group construction has been carried out an effective reform of research and practice from the following aspects such as the curriculum group teaching knowledge point optimization and reorganization, teaching content engineering reform, network platform curriculum resources construction, teaching staff engineering ability training, student professional community construction. Practice shows that the construction of road and bridge course group reform is feasible and effective.

Abstract:In order to provide the suggestion and reference for the reasonable design and rapid manufacture of the model in the national structural design competition, taking the first prize structure in the structure design competition in 2015 of Shandong Province as an example, through the joint application of structural mechanics solver, CAD3D,ANSYS and other software, based on the structure selection, structure analysis and structural actual manufacturing to discuss on the application of computer aided design in design and manufacture of structure design competition. In addition, the experimental results show that prestressing can significantly increase the stiffness of the structure and reduce the deformation, which is beneficial to improve the model's competitiveness.

Abstract:Three issues exist in the teaching process of building structure concept design course, which are lack of the connection between teaching knowledge points, lack of students' ability to use structural concepts, and ignoring new building technology innovations. This paper focuses on some beneficial attempts to address these problems, which includes teaching case base construction and case teaching practice of building structure concept design course. In the teaching case base, engineering design and accident cases collected are relative to key points and difficulties of knowledge refined. Through introducing case teaching into theoretical teaching, the connections between teaching knowledge points and between theoretical teaching and engineering practice are established, and the development of new building structures is grasped.

Abstract:Civil engineering application software is a comprehensive practical course, which is very important for the students during the undergraduate education stage of civil engineering. It is directly related to the education quality of college students in the final education steps. There are some clear requirements on the using of modern computer tools to solve the practical engineering problems and the international vision of professional aspects for the education certification of civil engineering. Combined with the teaching practice, the author firstly analyzes the main traditional problems in the teaching of the course of civil engineering application software, and then discusses the teaching reform's purpose and exploratory method for engineering problems oriented teaching and the abilities of solving practical problems, which is proved on the base of some typical engineering processing methods. Abstract:Concrete Structures principle is a major important professional basic course of civil engineering, and is a bridge of mechanics and subsequent courses. Features of the course are more concepts and formulas. Especially, the formulas of normal section bearing capacity calculation that is the core content of this course have more types. The students are afraid of difficulties if they have no good way to learn various formulas completely by rote, thus they do not learn good the core content. So this article focuses on teaching them to fishing way to build all kinds of normal section bearing capacity calculation diagram by expanding space imagination, then the corresponding formula is derived by means of mechanical equilibrium knowledge. The students do learn by analogy and better learn the part core content.

Abstract:Engineering geology course is with the characteristics of comprehensive, theoretical and practical. Complex engineering problems with complicated geological problems together, often make the students do not know how to start, the understanding of the problem can only stay on the surface. However, engineering geology, as an important major basic course in major of water conservancy and hydropower engineering, mainly be taught using the "lecturing method" in the past. Under this mode, many students feel that the course content is complex, boring, and abstract, only by rote. It is difficult to cultivate students'desire to observe, discover and solve problems. Peer instruction (PI) changed the traditional classroom teaching mode with the mode of students as the subject and teacher as the guider. The results show that the teaching reform of hydraulic engineering geology under PI wins initial success, not only make students to acquire the knowledge, cultivate their learning initiative, but also enhance the level of teachers' teaching research.

Abstract:The teaching of soil mechanics experiment is one of the key teaching contents of the course of soil mechanics. It has the characteristics of strong engineering practice and close connection and innovation among the experimental parameters. The content and mode of the traditional experimental teaching cannot meet the needs of the cultivation of innovative talents. Based on the analysis of the existing problems in the teaching of soil mechanics experiment, the paper puts forward the reform measures of the teaching of soil mechanics experiment based on engineering. The results of after nearly two years of experimental teaching reform and practice are obvious. It indicates that the proposed experimental teaching reform measures are reasonable and effective.

Abstract:Structural mechanics is an important basic course of civil engineering, and also the core course of civil engineering, which plays an important role in the whole professional training plan. There are many basic concepts for structural mechanics, and students often find it difficult to understand abstract and theoretical teaching content. This paper discusses three problems on combining the teaching of structural mechanics of civil engineering with engineering practice and the teaching of subsequent specialized courses, that is, the combination of theoretical teaching and major engineering, curriculum content and engineering practice and calculation diagram and engineering structure test, which helps students to deepen understanding on the basic concept and improve the ability to solve practical problems of engineering by using the knowledge of structural mechanics, so it provides a reference for the research and reform of structural mechanics teaching.

Abstract:The practical process is an important way to cultivate the practical ability of full-time engineering master. Since 2009, H University has expanded the recruitment of full-time masters of engineering and continuously explored the organizational mode of full-time engineering master practice. Through interviews and questionnaire surveys, the practical experience of H University was summarized. Abstract:The Three-Gorges folk songs are created by local working people during their long-term production and life practices. Due to the construction of Three-Gorges Dam and civilian resettlement, the environment where these long inherited folk songs emerge has encountered significant changes which greatly threatens the inheritance of traditional folk arts around this area. And in recent years, intangible cultural heritage project application has been used as one main method to protect regional music culture from extinction. Meanwhile, the joint track with education has formed a new trend which guides effective promotion of living inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. Based on teaching practice of the Three-Gorges folk song "luoerdiao", which has been listed in Chinese national intangible cultural heritage, in undergraduate and postgraduate courses for music majors, the present research is conducted to explore the feasibility of introducing "luoerdiao" into public art courses of universities which would contribute to extension of their living inheritance, and hence foster more favorable environment for the inheritance and development of Three-Gorges folk songs and other arts as intangible cultural heritage.

Abstract:Using the coefficient of variation and shift-share method, the study analyzes the changes of the academic structure of the full-time teachers in the regional colleges and universities in China from 2004 to 2016. It shows that the doctoral degree is slowly balanced and master degree is popularized, while undergraduate and college degree education is weakened. On the other hand, there is still a gap between the eastern regions and the central and western in the development of full-time teachers'qualifications. Thus, the government should carry out the development strategy of the higher education circle. According to local conditions in different regions, different development strategies and special protective tactics are support to implement to promote the balanced development in different regions. Meanwhile, to improve the quality of teachers, the government should comprehensively consider the type of schools, personnel training objectives and so on.
