    Abstract:
    At present in the world, student learning outcomes are the focus of attention and important standard of higher education quality assessment, which profoundly influence and promote the paradigm change in the higher education field. Based on the analysis of the connotation of student learning outcomes, combined with case study, this paper reveals that learning outcomes are the key factor to promote the construction of first-class undergraduate education from "external motivation" to "internal power". Besides, this paper investigates the evolution of learning outcomes assessment and the main methods in America. Based on these investigations, this paper explains the mechanism of learning outcomes assessment on the improvement of talent training quality, and puts forward the practice approach.

    Abstract:
    After the Ministry of Education promulgated the "Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of High-level Undergraduate Education to Improve the Ability of Talent Cultivation", first-class undergraduate construction has become an urgent need for China's higher education reform. The high-quality undergraduate education of American liberal arts colleges leads the world. Williams College, as a representative institution of American elite undergraduate education, focuses on undergraduate teaching and cultivates a large number of elite talents, which can be described as a typical example of undergraduate education. Williams College's high-quality enrollment is the premise guarantee of undergraduate quality. The consistent admission system facilitates the admission process, and strict qualification review ensures applicants' quality. With liberal arts education as the core of undergraduate education, Williams College provides broad curriculum and rich research training opportunities to implement the essence of liberal arts education. Its teaching activities are focused on the combination of internal and external classrooms, the development of students' subjectivity and the development of physical education. The learning support relies on close teacher-student relationship and a variety of learning groups. In the construction of first-class undergraduate education in China, we should adhere to "comprehensive assessment and high-quality enrollment", "liberal education and general development", "classification guidance and characteristic development", and "resource integration and platform construction".

    Abstract:
    Cultural landscape heritage belongs to the category of "natural and human works" recognized by UNESCO in 1992. First, based on the analysis of the value of five Chinese cultural landscape heritages, the research puts forward image as the origin of value evaluation. Second, it discriminates the types of human and natural value being presented by noumenon of consciousness and representation under differential context. Last, it interprets spatiotemporal significance of authenticity and integrity. To enlighten the core of defining the heritage value of the same type of cultural landscape, the paper aims to establish a theoretical foundation for increasing the number of cultural landscape heritages and promoting their value identity around the world.

    Abstract:
    Human geography and urban and rural planning integrates the discipline background and professional knowledge of humanities and geography science and urban and rural planning. The definition of its professional connotation and extension, and the way to build a reasonable curriculum system and other issues have always been discussed. Human geography and urban and rural planning major of local colleges and universities in western region is often faced with considerations such as professional orientation, curriculum setting, and student ability construction. Feedback problems and suggestions from students can better correct the limitations of top-down teaching reform. Taking human geography and urban and rural planning of Nanning Normal University as an example, based on the analysis of undergraduate questionnaires, the curriculum setting, class schedule, course content and training methods were adjusted.

    Abstract:
    Along with the progress of the Belt and Road Initiative and national innovation drive strategy, to train a large number of international engineering management talents who have international perspectives, understand international rules, can participate in international affairs and international competition, and to explore and practice an international talent training system for professional engineering management, are an arduous and important task that must be actively dealt with by the engineering management major in China's higher education institutions. In order to improve the international personnel training system for university engineering management majors and to continuously improve the internationalization of engineering management majors, based on the four traditional platforms (technical platforms, economic platforms, management platforms, and legal platforms) of engineering management major, this paper integrates two new platforms (foreign language platform + humanities platform), reconstructs the internationalized talent cultivation curriculum system, and establishes a new "4+2" curriculum structure system for engineering management major based on internationalization ability enhancement. Then, taking international engineering projects practice ability and internationalized competence improvement as orientations, based on the thinking of system hierarchy structure, the literature meta-analysis method, case study method, and expert consultation method are used to construct a professional platform-international capacity-innovative development dimension system ("three-dimensional system") for internationalized talent training for engineering management major. A diversified internationalized talents training path for engineering management is proposed to provide useful information for the construction of internationalized talents training model for engineering management under the new situation.

Based on the building environment and energy application engineering (BEEE) professional construction, this paper points out that engineering thinking ability training is the core of engineering ability training, and from the consistency of fine design idea and engineering system thinking, engineering education thinking model based on the full range of the whole process of project is built.     Abstract:
    In the context of the transformation of the construction industry from extensive development to fine improvement, Jilin Jianzhu University, guided under the education view of "simplicity and openness", with innovative ability cultivation as the main line, emphasizes the construction of "multi-module stereoscopic form". It constructs a new engineering training mode combining innovation training with professional education through the establishment of multi-disciplinary platform and multi-level innovative pioneering practice platform. In teaching reform, it emphasizes the combination of professionalism and academic. Through refining training goals, reforming course system, updating teaching content, innovating teaching means and improving practice way, a three-dimensional networked framework is formed, and a "one horizontal and multiple verticals" teaching system for the main courses is constructed. Based on the ability cultivating needs at different stages, it strengthens the innovative cultivation of design ability, modularizes all courses, refines the training of practical ability, and integrates innovative ability training modes. It provides teaching reform new ideas to adapt to the new requirements of industry transformation and development and the new needs of social and economic development.

    Abstract:
    Considering the vagueness of education objective in current civil engineering programs in China, the paper emphasizes the outcome-based engineering eductotion. The classification of engineering activities according to their complexity and corresponding education tracks defined by International Engineering Alliance are compared, and mutual relationship between graduation requirements in professional accreditation of undergraduate engineering education and engineer qualification abilities is discussed. It is suggested that the key issue of undergraduate engineering education must be the development of the ability to solve complex engineering problems, to achieve the substantial equivalence of international program accreditation. Education of the engineers' ability shall be developed step by step, thus the curriculum and course can be provided and developed rationally. It is suggested that measures should be taken to improve teachers' engineering practical ability and teaching ability according to the requirements of outcome orientation.

    By comparing the two forms of solution about overall stability problems of compression-bending steel member, this paper guides students to understand and grasp the concepts and solution methods of overall stability from instability phenomenon, mechanical model, instability criterion and formula construction.     Abstract:
    Under the Belt and Road Initiative, the number of international students in China keeps increasing. Improving the educational quality for oversea engineering degree students is one of the main issues to support the Belt and Road Initiative. This paper highlighted the existing problems in the education of oversea students majoring in engineering, and pointed out the importance of paying attention to the "culture adjustment" issues of oversea students and including the "cultural adaptation strategy" in the subject courses. A teaching mode of "1:1 class" was proposed. The teaching content, the text book, the teaching method, the assignment, and the evaluation system were specified in detail based on one compulsory subject course "advanced composite structures" delivered to oversea postgraduate students.

    Based on the analysis of diversified assessment modes at home and abroad, diversified, process-oriented and capability-oriented assessment method reform strategies for indoor air environment course for HVAC postgraduate course were put forward, to guide students to study in depth and improve learning effectiveness. The diversified evaluation model, that is, "examination + course paper + report defense" based on progress management was given and applied in teaching practice. The progress management and achievements in course paper writing progress, such as title selecting, outline writing, manuscript writing, and report defense, were focused on.     Abstract:
    Extensive enrollment, separate training as a kind of personnel training mode is gradually adopted by Chinese universities. Because of the competitiveness method of dividing specialty based on scores, students assigned to non-dominant specialties generally have lower scores and lack the sense of identity to their specialty. In this paper, the status of non-dominant specialty under the mode of classified enrollment and the problems existing in traditional examination system and their influence on non-dominant specialty were analyzed. And it was pointed out that course examinations should aim at making students grasp knowledge points and solve problems. The reform direction of consolidating basic knowledge, strengthening ability training and enhancing the sense of specialty identity was put forward as well. Based on the idea of whole assessment, specific measures such as to test knowledge points per unit, to design exploratory homework, to assign self-study chapters, and to improve examination method were proposed, and preliminary practice has been carried out. Results show that whole assessment and timely feedback of assessment information play a positive role in promoting non-dominant specialty teaching.

    The essence of innovation and entrepreneurship education is a quality education for students to lay a solid foundation for their lifelong sustainable development. Its basic characteristics are creativity and practicality. Evaluating the learning of students in civil engineering under the innovation and entrepreneurship education background is a crucial link in teaching. Innovation is the trait, entrepreneurship is the goal, and the teaching process should be to cultivate students' innovative thinking and entrepreneurship spirit based on serving the society. The connotation of innovation and entrepreneurship is expounded, and the requirements for students in civil engineering are put forward under the background of innovation and entrepreneurship. The importance of learning evaluation for students is analyzed, and the contents and methods of learning evaluation are discussed based on the actual situation of civil engineering. Establishing multidimensional evaluation method based on constructivist learning assessment, teaching test, performance evaluation, research-based learning assessment, informal assessment, self-assessment of students and mutual evaluation, not only helps to improve students' autonomy, cultivate students' critical thinking ability and innovative consciousness, but also cultivates students' ability of effective communication and cooperation.

    Through the analysis of the current civil engineering cartography teaching status, regarding competition as the breakthrough point, a general education core course "production of three-dimensional architectural modeling arts" is set up. From software selection, subject setting, teaching methods, checking and accepting, students are organized to draw two dimensional drawing in the ZwSoft environment, to create three dimensional modeling in the Sketchup environment.     Abstract:
    Along with the inherent scattering in soil physical and mechanical parameters of laboratory testing, it is difficult for students to sustain their conviction in their own tests. It is necessary to explore how to train students' uncertainty thinking through soil mechanics laboratory testing. To improving teaching effect, statistical characteristics of soil parameters are expounded by the drawing and scientific computing functions of statistical programming language R. Multiple parallel experiments on various parameters, including particle size analysis, moisture content, liquid and plastic limits, permeability coefficient, compression coefficient and shear strength, are used to demonstrate how uncertainties can be quantified. Test results are presented using probability density distribution curves, non-parametric kernel density estimates, histograms, and box plots. Such teaching practice can enhance undergraduates' comprehensive judgment and inductive ability in handling inconsistent data.

    Due to the short history of urban underground space engineering major, colleges and universities are still at the exploratory stage in practical teaching.     Abstract:
    Integrating information technology and teaching, incorporating online and offline blended course construction and application into the system engineering of improving teaching quality and personnel training level, is the focus of current teaching research and practice. Taking blended learning and flipped classroom instructional mode as the theoretical framework, this study presented a flipped classroom teaching mode based on self-developed SPOC (small private online course) and applied it to a university-based scientific translation course. Online teaching resources design, online and offline mixed teaching process design and assessment design were devised and practiced. It showed that the SPOC-based flipped classroom blender teaching can enhance students' interest in learning and lead to better collaborative learning as well. It provides reference for colleges and universities to build online and offline blended courses and to carry out SPOC-based flip classroom teaching.

    To improve the teaching quality and change the traditional "teacher talk only" teaching mode, characteristics of the applied soil mechanics course and shortcomings of traditional "teacher-book-class" teaching mode are analyzed in this paper. Flipped classroom teaching mode reform is carried out by selecting knowledge points to record micro class, arranging learning task list before class, and making corresponding assessment plan. Students are grouped according to the level of credit points to ensure the smooth implementation of the reform. The analysis shows that students' learning enthusiasm, initiative, teaching participation and knowledge mastery are improved. For the selected parts of soil mechanics, the mode of flipped class is more suitable for the differentiation background of today's students.

    Abstract:
    This paper conducts a questionnaire survey on the factors affecting the learning outcomes of MOOC learners, and based on the recovered data further explores the reasons behind the phenomenon through interviews. The results show that, there is a significant positive correlation among MOOC design attributes, student engagement and learning outcomes; student engagement plays a mediating role between MOOC design attributes and learning outcomes; the motivation of learners to participate in MOOC is mostly based on "interest" and "gaining knowledge"; reasons for dropping out of MOOC are "unreasonable scheduling" and "no perseverance". Based on the research and analysis, the following conclusions are drawn:the school is responsible for enhancing learners' understanding of MOOC, improving the quality of MOOC, and promoting MOOC credit certification in the popularization of MOOC; the higher the grade, learners think that the more MOOC design attributes can meet their needs, and the higher the degree of participation; the autonomy and diversity of MOOC design need to be improved, and the degree of interactivity needs to be improved; MOOC learners have a strong willingness to learn, but their ability to learn independently needs to be strengthened.
