Abstract:As the basis of classified development of universities, university classification has made abundant research achievements in the past two decades. With the help of bibliometric method and through the analysis of literature statistics and CiteSpace knowledge mapping, this paper summarizes the general situation of research on university classification in China, systematically classifies it from four aspects:academic value and practical significance, theoretical basis and research methods, index setting and system construction, perspective selection and practical exploration, and puts forward four dimensions of university classification problems in the future:the practice of classified development of colleges and universities, the integration of multi-disciplinary basis, the construction of a classification framework with Chinese characteristics in line with the national conditions, and the establishment of a scientific and reasonable index system for the classification of colleges and universities in the future.

Abstract:Promoting the "double first-class" construction is the strategic task of building a powerful country of higher education and realizing the modernization of higher education. It is also the strategic engine of implementing innovation-driven strategy and achieving regional coordinated development in the western region. Confronted with the new judgment of the historical orientation and main contradictions of higher education in China, the "double-first-class" construction of universities in Western China is facing difficulties in orientation, resources and concepts. We must stick to the three tasks of talent training, discipline construction and teaching personnel. We must adhere to strategic thinking and carry out systematic planning with a higher starting point, all-round policy support and holistic development measures so as to comply with the principle of "10% deployment and 90% implementation", in order to fully promote the "double-first-class" construction.

Abstract:The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) provides China with new historical opportunities for its opening-up process. Construction management professionals, who are desperately needed in the practices of BRI, should comprehensively raise their level of knowledge and capability, expand global horizon, and establish stronger awareness of international cooperation and communication. Based on the issues concerning infrastructure construction incorporated in BRI, as well as a profound analysis of the connotation and boundary of the construction management discipline, this paper extracted five new features of construction management professionals in compliance with BRI, which includes three knowledge skills and two ideological concepts. Then, the paper proposed new measures for the present and future education of construction management professionals. Its core lies in the full integration of resources and advantages among the country's various fields and social levels, as well as the realization of a collaborative training mechanism of construction management professionals within the entire society.

Abstract:A higher requirement has been put forward for the development of high education in China under the background of emerging engineering education. Abstract:As an important part of teaching evaluation system in China, engineering education accreditation is of great practical significance and profound historical significance in guaranteeing the quality of engineering education cultivation and accelerating the connection with international engineering education. Based on the requirements of engineering education accreditation after China's accession to the Washington Accord, this paper discusses and practices the cultivation mode of civil engineering in application-oriented university. The "1132" training mode, which is relied on industry and enterprises, focused on ability cultivation, takes achievement of cultivation goals, graduation requirements and course objectives as main line, and takes engineering culture education and innovation and entrepreneurship education as its two wings. This realizes the innovation and development of talent cultivation under the background of engineering education accreditation, and is of great significance for training engineering application-oriented talents that meet the requirements for international engineering education accreditation.

Abstract:Beihang University has set up an international experimental class of civil and airport engineering for undergraduate students since 2012, which highlights the schools' characteristics of aerospace infrastructure construction, and the teaching contents are completed by the Chinese and English curriculum system, international summer school and international exchange learning. In talent cultivation, science and technology contests are paid more attention and scientific research projects are relied on, assisted by academic reports of famous teachers and academic conferences, to enhance students' international view, stimulate innovative thinking and cultivate comprehensive high-end talents.

Abstract:The development of water conservancy needs a large number of creative talents. Abstract:Current teaching reform should aim at the main problems existing in teaching. Only when the problems in teaching are clarified, can there be a source of fresh water for teaching reform. In order to solve the main problems existing in the current teaching of engineering elastics, such as less class hours, abstract theory, complicated formulas, poor mathematical foundation of students and low interest in learning, seven types of improvement measures based on teaching experience are proposed to promote the teaching reform of engineering elastic mechanics, such as problem-oriented teaching, from shallow to deep, concretion of abstract knowledge, using teaching tools, summarizing mnemonic pithy formula, strengthening knowledge summary and supplementing basic mathematical knowledge.

Abstract:The physical concept of structural stability sets up the foundation for anti-buckling concept design and stability check of structures. The correlations between disturbed configurations of the initial straight column and a rigid ball initially settled in the origin of a given support surface have been established by developing an equivalent rigid ball model for the stability analysis of an idealized column. Such a model is designed to facilitate students and structural engineers to intuitively understand stability of elastic systems. Furthermore, an incremental generalized force criterion has been proposed to identify the static stability of axial compression member with arbitrary end constraints, which provides physical explanation to disturbance generalized resistance and equilibrium stability of a multiple degree of freedom system. It can be used to determine the stability of an intermediate state of a nonlinear equilibrium path of structures and to indicate the post-buckling equilibrium configurations of structures.

Abstract:Based on effect-centered teaching, teaching methods such as tracing to China's historical steel design specification or code, learning from excellent design specification or code abroad, comparisons by tables and figures are studied to improve the teaching effect of steel connections. Teaching practice shows that the proposed teaching methods can promote students' understanding of relevant provisions in Code for Design of Steel Structure (GB 50017-2003), help students to grasp the knowledge of classroom teaching, and lay a solid foundation for future work in structural design, construction and so on.

Abstract:Concrete structure design principle is a very important major required course of civil engineering. Its teaching quality directly affects the students' study of follow-up courses. Based on the characteristics of the course and the actual teaching situation, the teaching method of the course is reformed, mainly including making full use of multimedia technology, analyzing of formula connotation deeply, strengthening practice teaching, paying attention to the cultivation of innovative ability, perfecting network platform construction and reforming examination methods, etc. The implementation results show that the measures of teaching reform suggested in this paper are reasonable and effective.

Abstract:The contents of the tunnel engineering course are practical, abstract in theoretical problems, and complicated in engineering problems. Traditional teaching model is difficult to achieve good results. On the basis of comprehensive analysis of the main teaching content and teaching difficulties of tunnel engineering course, the teaching methods of modularization of main content, visualization of abstract theory, case study of engineering diseases, discussion of scientific problems, network of auxiliary learning, and diversification of assessment methods were put forward. Then a six-in-one teaching model of "MVCDND" was established, which has achieved good results in practical teaching activities. The research results have guiding significance for the teaching of tunnel engineering courses, and have some reference value for similar courses.

Abstract:With the development of network education, the MOOC began to rise in the teaching of colleges and universities. In order to improve the construction quality of construction materials MOOC in Northeast Agricultural University, the paper analyzes and studies the influential factors of construction materials MOOC during construction period. 14 influencing factors were identified from the three aspects of school, teacher and the MOOC company. Then the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to compare the various factors and determine their relative importance. Finally the total order of the various factors was got. The research results could be a reference for construction materials MOOC quality improving.

Abstract:Under the overall background of the science of human settlements, from the perspective of an "unusual" teacher of the urban and rural planning major who is transferred from a designer to a college teacher, this paper discussed the "unbounded classes" teaching attempt of a landscape architecture teacher in the course teaching of architecture and planning. This paper proposed a systematic and unbounded teaching method with the teaching aim of the coordination of nature and human, taking value education as the core, regarding the oriental wisdom and value orientation as the teaching activation point, and combining the western science and technology and the empirical logic method. Abstract:With the increase of opportunities for international cooperation and communication in colleges and universities, workshops are becoming more and more widely employed as a new teaching pattern. In this paper, the kinetic origami structures workshop held in Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts is taken as an example for a detailed description, including planning, academic reports, demonstration of counselors, research topic determining by students, model making and results replying. In addition, the significance of joint workshop for promoting interdisciplinary thinking collision and communication, cultivating team spirit and communication ability, and promoting the unity of teaching and practice is analyzed. And the applicability of workshop in civil engineering is also explored.

Abstract:Digital architectural design is one of the important trends in the development of contemporary architecture education. How to effectively integrate digital design with traditional architectural design teaching system is currently a hot topic searching continuously in undergraduate teaching reform in domestic universities. This paper aims to briefly introduce the digital architectural design teaching system gradually built in School of Architecture, SCUT, which features in "vertical and horizontal integration"; analyze the specific patterns and implementation experiences by which this system connects and adapts rationally to the original design teaching system through "vertical" advanced arterial digital design course and "horizontal" integrated digital design special training, in order to provide useful reference for related teaching research and innovation practice.

Abstract:Engineering education quality and engineering talent training have become an important problem that higher education needs to solve. In this paper, the problems of civil engineering experimental teaching, design and calculation, practice teaching, discipline competition, and innovation and entrepreneurship activities were analyzed. A new construction idea of civil engineering practical training platform was put forward. The platform construction ideas and construction plan were explained from five aspects, that is experimental teaching platform, "scientific research back feeding teaching" practice teaching platform, engineering computing teaching platform, new "school-enterprise cooperation" practice teaching platform, and innovation and entrepreneurship education platform. The research results will play a vital role in improving the specialty construction level and the quality of personnel training for civil engineering.

Abstract:This study conducts follow-up investigations on independent enrollment students from the perspective of later stage quality tracking. Through student questionnaires, combined with a large number of objective data statistics, from the aspects of competence and quality, academic achievement, scholarships, participation in scientific research, etc., the study analyzes and compares the differences between the two types of students after they enter school, and analyzes the reasons behind the conclusions, to test the independent enrollment effect of CQ University, answer the queries of the society about independent enrollment and enrich the research achievement of related fields. The research shows that the scores of independent enrollment students' ability and quality and the various ability and quality items are significantly higher than ordinary college entrance examination students; learning scores of the former are slightly higher; comprehensive quality performance of the former (comprehensive scholarship, May Fourth evaluation, and competition for excellence) is significantly higher; since 2015, scientific and technological innovation ability (approval of scientific and technological projects) of the former has been significantly higher.

Abstract:In view of the severe employment situation of college students, and the questions on imperfection of college training system and employment mechanism, external environment interference and internal competitiveness deficiency of students, and post distribution and employers' influences, this paper takes science and engineering college students majoring in water conservancy as an example to explore a multilateral joint action training mechanism. To strengthen the employment security ability, colleges and teachers should be taken as important guarantee, students as main body, and the parents, society and employers as external driving forces, to scientifically formulate training programs and measures.
