    Abstract:
    The new economic form of new technologies such as the internet, artificial intelligence and cloud computing has flourished. The construction of new engineering brings new opportunities and challenges to engineering education and new demands for engineering and technology professional. As a traditional specialty, civil engineering is faced with problems such as incomplete knowledge of social development and industrial needs and lack of interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary integration. Civil engineering education is urgently needed to be improved and upgraded. Carrying out student-centered education and taking the second classroom as the foothold the School of Civil and Transportation of Hohai University realized the deep integration of teaching system design and student learning community construction of two parallel one practice space containing online virtual space offline shared space and practice situational experience space. On the basis of talents training to acquire professional competence, it helped them to gain the characteristics of innovative practice, cross-border integration and diversified development ability. The strategy assists the transformation of emerging engineering education from concept to action.

    Architecture is a highly integrated and practical subject. Cultivating high – quality undergraduates with strong practical ability is an important component of contemporary architectural education. There are different emphases in the training plan of practical ability in Guangdong colleges. There is little difference in the distribution of credits and the proportion of course types in macro class and the design course and technology course reflecting the professional practice ability are implemented in parallel. Colleges should start to build a systematic practical teaching system form a crisscross course organization and consolidate the guarantee conditions for practical ability training to speed up the training pace of practical ability of undergraduates majoring in architecture.

    Abstract:
    China – International Education Collaboration Program is the very important form of international education in universities, is able to introduce overseas high level teaching resources and enhance the international impact and reputation under the background of Double First-rate. A case investigation of Sino-Australia Collaboration Program of building environment and energy engineering is presented in terms of the program progress, construction aims and talent training mode. The paper explores the school system, training program, courses system, mutual visiting, internationalization of teaching staff and cooperative of cooperative education, and has achieved good result. The practice and innovation of training mode can be used as a reference for other collaboration programs.

    Abstract:
    Due to the complexity and contradiction of the involved factors of architecture design, it makes differences for architecture education from pure engineering, pure sciences, pure liberal, fine arts and so on. To the local universities with the basic goal of applied talents training, design ability is the core of architecture specialty training, design course is the main course to training the design ability. During the process of design ability training, using "creative problem solving model" combined with "intellectual skills model" namely the teaching ideas and methods bases on "CPS + intellectual skills" model create a learning community situation to realize the ideas of active learning, learning through doing, autonomous learning under the guide of teacher, guiding students to discover new knowledge independently, then twice as much can be accomplished with half the effort.

    Abstract:
    Engineering education and industrial development are mutually supportive and closely linked. The cultivation of engineering talents needed for economic and social development is the mission of engineering education and industrial development. Based on the development history of American engineering education and the history of industrial structure development, integrating into the evolution of American engineering education paradigm, the paper summarizes the process from the first stage of the American engineering education technology paradigm to the scientific paradigm from 1783 to 1990, the United States has transformed from a big agricultural country to an information country. And the relationship between engineering education and industrial structure has undergone three stages of response adaptation and leading. And derived from 1990 to the present that is under the fourth industrial revolution the engineering education of the return paradigm should lead the development of industrial structure.

    Abstract:
    Basic principle of concrete structures is the core compulsory course of civil engineering specialty which is also the basic major course taught at the early stage of major study for the students of civil engineering specialty. It is the foundation of almost all succeeding major courses which is of great importance. A lot of teaching content is involved in this course which related to a wide range of knowledge. However, the class hour of this course is quite limited which make it difficult to teach. In order to accommodate the characteristics of this course a series of innovative teaching methods are proposed to develop the study interests of students and solve the problems in the current teaching including development of study interests teaching modes after-class guidance bilingual teaching method and guidance on extra-curriculum activities. The practical results of the innovative teaching method showed that the study and research interests of students were developed, the self-learning capability and professional English vocabulary of students were enhanced, the scope and developing trends of students were also broaden which laid solid foundation for study work and advanced training in the future.

    Abstract:
    According to the basic theory of mechanics of materials, two problems in plane bending of the beam are analyzed: the influences of different sections on the flexural normal strength of the beam and on the maximum shear stress of the cross section of I-beam. The influence of various cross-section shapes on the flexural normal strength and the effect of various I-beam section sizes on the maximum shear stress were obtained quantitatively. The main results are: the flexural normal strength of rectangular section is lower than that of circular section when the rectangular section is transverse and the aspect ratio is greater than 1.369 26, when the vertical degree of I-section is smaller than that of rectangular section and the web of I-section is very short or very wide, the flexural normal strength of I-section is lower than that of rectangular section, for the general section size the maximum shear stress on the I-section is not equal to the nominal average shear stress on the I-section web, only under the specific section size the maximum shear stress on the I-section is equal to the nominal average shear stress on the I-section web. The research results have corrected some vague concepts in the teaching of mechanics of materials and the research process and the research method provide a good case for improving students' scientific literacy and cultivating students'scientific research ability in the teaching of material mechanics which of great significance.

    Abstract:
    The teaching content of soil mechanics is rather dull which can easily hurt the students' learning enthusiasm and influence the teaching effect. In this regard the interesting points in course content of soil mechanics were explored. Based on the basic framework of heuristic guidance teaching method a new teaching scheme of soil mechanics characteristics in interest stimulation was designed. Students' daily experience and personal scenes are used to arouse their interest. The students' subjective status and participation is highlighted and the teachers' timely guiding role is emphasized which let students fully enjoy the fun of seeking knowledge while feeling the rigor of scientific knowledge. The implementation process of the new teaching scheme was introduced, the principle and experience of the scheme designation were analyzed, and this teaching reform was made finally based on the feedback of teaching practice.

    Based on the questionnaires for overseas students of grades 2014, 2015 and 2016 in Zhejiang University of Technology, the teaching method for the core course "basic principles and design of steel structure" has been discussed. The survey showed that, in the teaching for overseas students, there are many problems such as students' poor foundation in mechanics, teachers' weakness in teaching in English, obsolete teaching methods, poor integration between practice and theory as well as unreasonable assessment system, etc.. Based on the nature and characteristics of this course and the particularity of foreign students, the teaching effect of this course, in terms of the aspects in teaching goal, teaching contents, teaching materials, teaching methodologies, curriculum project design and examination evaluation system, has been discussed and analyzed to improve the teaching quality for overseas students and cultivate more international professional practical talents in civil engineering.

    As a compulsory course for civil engineering specialty including structural engineering bridge engineering underground engineering track engineering the importance of steel structure principle is self-evident. In order to adapt to the application and development of steel structure, setting and adjustment of the teaching content, allocation of teaching hours and proportion of classroom teaching and practical teaching are studied combined with the teaching and scientific research of steel structure.     To cultivate students' ability and interest in structural innovation of the reduction effective of seismic response of nuclear power plants (NPPs) by base isolation and shock absorption technology is shown. Considering AP1000 NPPs shield building as an example, the seismic performance of NPPs with the different design configurations of non base isolation, BIS, BIS-TMD and TMD is simulated by comparative teaching method. And the improvement of seismic safety level of NPPs by base isolation and shock absorption technology is tested. This study has reference value for teaching structural seismic design.

    Abstract:
    Timber structure in China is developing rapidly but the gap in teaching timber structure at university is large between China and other countries. Chinese civil engineering students' design and analysis capacities of timber structure should be improved. Various practice resources and studying experiences can be obtained to students under the advanced timber structure teaching system by collaborating with foreign universities and sending Chinese students abroad for summer school in the area of timber structures. This paper introduces the course content and teaching methods of the summer school in timber structure. The students' feedback of the summer school shows that the students' design ability got improved, the students' practice experience got increased and the students' academic English got enhanced. This paper discusses the English teaching practice teaching and pre- & post- teaching and raised related improvement measures. It also explores the development of the future summer school in timber structure.

    The paper put forward the teaching method combined PBL teaching method and case teaching method to resolve the problems that the satisfaction degree of postgraduates is lower, course contain is not closely related to practice. Taking the case course of underground engineering construction as an example, the concrete steps of PBL were detailed expounded including course content conformity, case design, PBL project design, planning, implementation, communication and evaluation. The difficulties of PBL were pointed out and the countermeasures were proposed. The practice shows PBL teaching method can increase the student abilities of autonomic learning, independent inquiry, engineering practice and innovation. It is propitious to train student's initiative spirits and group cooperative spirits.

    With the rapid development of science and information technology the traditional mechanics classroom and teaching methods have been greatly impacted. The teaching method of mechanics should follow the development of science and technology and the reform of mechanics teaching must be carried out.     According to the engineering education certification and the reform and exploration of structural mechanics course of water conservancy and civil engineering specialty in agricultural colleges and universities under the background of emerging engineering education, combining with the preliminary application practice of intelligent teaching tool of rain classroom in the course teaching through presenting preview materials and prestigious school video, in-class PPT synchronous learning and classroom testing, after-class pushing homework and communication and feedback between teachers and students help teachers to teach accurately. Practice results show that the scores of the first final exam of hydraulic engineering specialty in the past two years have been significantly improved compared with the traditional teaching mode. The rain classroom has achieved certain results in the mixed teaching of structural mechanics. So the paper explores how to combine rain classroom teaching with the learning characteristics of engineering students in agricultural colleges aiming at students' learning benefits, and provide reference for the teaching reform of relevant mechanics courses in the era of big data.

    Many large and medium cities in China are entering the era of rail transit, yet new science popularization channels have not been developed and the quality of science popularization works has not been improved. Science popularization is behind the rapid development of rail transit construction in China. However, micro learning resources meets the learners' individualized needs and is suitable for science popularization knowledge communication in the mobile learning era. In view of the current situation that popular science popularization is lagging in the rapid development of rail transit popular science demand and key characteristics of micro learning resources are analyzed from the matching perspective to investigate the matching status and problems. On the basis of partial adjustment of the key features of the micro learning resources the science popularization-micro learning resources system of rail transit is put forward. Taking WeChat and its public number as the carrier of science popularization the teaching resources of micro learning resources are used to carry out knowledge popularization of rail transit among urban residents and improve the effect of science popularization.

    Based on the theory of deep learning it was explored that in the teaching of urban design series courses how to integrate the inspiration and establishment of ideological and political elements with the original knowledge system in order to achieve all-round education. From the aspects of strengthening the guidance of teaching goals expanding and rationally organizing teaching content organizing the immersive teaching process and improving the teaching evaluation system a comprehensive and in-depth study of the full-chain teaching of urban design course is conducted and the next step of teaching exploration is proposed.
