    Abstract:
    Emerging engineering education is vital in building up a strong China in higher education and meeting the challenges of economic development, industrial transformation and global competition. Based on the advantages and feature resources in traditional engineering discipline and the new development requirements in emerging engineering education, the integrated interdisciplinary teaching mode of building environment and energy engineering is explored and in practice. The main measures include orientation of talents cultivation characteristics, development of integrated interdisciplinary curriculum system, construction of teaching staffs with multidisciplinary background, establishment of diversified practical platforms through collaboration, combination of research innovation and science and technology competition with teaching and learning, and implementation of China-International education collaboration. A characteristic training mode of interdisciplinary integration of building environment and energy engineering is formed and innovative practice of the training mode has achieved good results.

    Abstract:
    Facing the development needs of emerging engineering education and construction industry, talent cultivation plan of civil engineering major of Intelligent Construction College built based on school-enterprise cooperation by Heilongjiang Institute of Technology is researched. Training objective is established to meet the demand of building industrialization and intellectualization, and the curriculum system adapting to the transformation and upgrading of civil engineering specialty in local universities is constructed including engineering general education platform, professional foundation platform of civil engineering, new technology and interdisciplinary module, engineering and social module, innovation and entrepreneurship module, and intelligent construction module. A "3+1" training mode based on multi-agent cooperation is adopted which introducing enterprises to participate in education. Taking the Intelligent Construction College as the carrier, practical research is carried out to cultivate application-oriented undergraduate talents who adapt to the development of industrialization, digitization, and intellectualization of construction and are needed by enterprises, and it works well.

    Abstract:
    Since 2000, with the rapid development of national economy, China has set off a new upsurge of architecture major. As a new major in local universities, architecture major in Xiamen University of Technology takes national professional evaluation standard as the program, regional culture and local construction demand in southwest Fujian as the support, and "reform, opening up, practice and service" as the guideline. An architecture professional system of local universities integrating teaching, scientific research and service has been established, and it passed the national education evaluation of architecture major of universities in 2018 and became the first-class discipline construction point in Fujian. Through the comprehensive combing of the construction process of architecture major in Xiamen University of Technology, the paper explores an effective path and method for the construction of professional system of architecture major in local colleges and universities, to provide ideas for the construction of discipline system of architecture major in local universities.

    Abstract:
    In order to meet the challenge of the fourth industrial revolution, China has implemented the excellence program 2.0 to continuously promote the development of engineering education. As a traditional engineering specialty, civil engineering needs to actively connect with excellence program 2.0 to realize the upgrading and transformation of traditional specialty, and cultivate excellent engineering talents to adapt to the new situation. The top-level design of talent training program outlines the blueprint of talent training from the professional school-running objectives, personnel training specifications, and curriculum system. Based on the comparative study of talent training programs of eight universities, such as Changsha University of Science and Technology, South China University of Technology, and Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, this paper analyzes the degree of fit between the eight universities and excellence program 2.0 and puts forward suggestions for optimizing the talent training program from the aspects of talent training goal orientation, interdisciplinary integration form, international talent training mode, school enterprise cooperation form, etc.

    Abstract:
    Based on the background of emerging engineering education, following the education concept of perception and practice, an undergraduate education system of architecture with the characteristics of local universities and the characteristics of the times is built aiming at innovative consciousness and practical ability.     Abstract:
    The demands of the development of modern building industry for talent cultivation of building environment and energy application engineering specialty after the implementation of civil engineering category enrollment are analyzed. The capacities of high-quality talents of building environment and energy application engineering with competitiveness and great potential for future development are investigated. The efficient ways for talent cultivation of building environment and energy application engineering specialty in civil engineering category are shown. It is pointed out that the professional education of building environment and energy application engineering should broaden the field of vision, rely on hot events at home and abroad to expand professional publicity and enhance students’ professional identity. The importance of teaching idea change from knowledge-transference to ability training and the necessary of a personnel training system including innovative technology such as big data are explained. The suggestions for solving knowledge link-up between courses by using internet instructional software are proposed. The effect of establishment of training system for innovation and entrepreneurship is discussed. The hierarchical training programs for cultivating students’ ability to solve complex engineering problems in guiding graduation project are presented.

    Abstract:
    It has been 20 years for Tongji University starting the first session of part-time Master of Engineering since September 1998. The spirt of "serving the national strategy, connecting with the industry, leading the future development, and always for students" is held and the cultivation of part-time master student in the major of construction in civil engineering is becoming more and more mature. Focusing on the training characteristics of part-time Master of Engineering, confronting the difficulties and problems in the process of teaching and supervising, the paper carries out a series of innovation and exploration and gives full play to the radiation and incentive effects of Tongji University culture and the excellent tradition of civil engineering in Tongji University. A long-term cultivation mechanism of "requirements serving, accurate docking, collaborative education, and double wins" is built. It has achieved good implementation effect and social benefits, and cultivated many application-oriented, compound, and high-level engineering technology and engineering management talents for the national construction industry.

    Abstract:
    In the new era, the cultivation of Master of Engineering needs to adapt to the talent demand of national innovation and development. The key ability of full-time Master of Engineering is engineering practice ability. The construction of engineering practice ability training system is an important measure to ensure the education quality of Master of Engineering. In view of the current situation of engineering master’s practice education in general colleges and universities, this paper analyzes the main reasons for the weakness of engineering ability training through literature review, questionnaire survey, and case study. Based on the basic laws of engineering ability composition and engineering master’s personnel training, it is suggested that the quality of engineering practice education should be improved by the following ways: strengthening the whole process engineering education thought, cultivating engineering system thinking by offering engineering guidance course for engineering postgraduates, constructing industry-academic collaboration engineering practice base, and setting up undergraduate-postgraduate linkage practice curriculum system. The training approach of engineering postgraduates’ innovative consciousness and engineering ability to face the ability demand of industry development and engineering post is put forward. The strategy of engineering practice education put forward in this paper can be used as a reference for the education reform and practice of Master of Engineering.

    Abstract:
    At present, China’s graduate education has developed rapidly and the enrollment scale has been expanding continuously, but at the same time there are many problems in graduate education and alienation of teacher-student relationship is one of the typical problems. From the perspective of Simmel’s "boundary theory", this paper finds that the "ambiguous boundary between power and responsibility, interests and actions" is an important reason for the alienation of the teacher-student relationship. Therefore, it is the key to prevent and dissolve the alienation of teacher-student relationship by perfecting the system norms of teacher-student relationship, advocating the concept of equal interaction between teachers and students, and then constructing a clear boundary.

    Abstract:
    Renewal/reuse of buildings (built environment) has become a very important and common work in contemporary architecture industry. The transformation from new building to reusing and from protection to revitalization puts forward new requirements for current architectural education. It also makes related courses of architectural history and architectural design in traditional architectural education face urgent challenges. Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment (BK) of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands has made a long-term exploration through reforming the history courses and embedding heritage value oriented architectural design minors, and has accumulated mature and edge-cutting experiences: integrating theoretical history education and designing education by regarding design as the goal of history education while taking heritage value evaluation as the guide and judgment standards of designing to cultivate the capabilities of students to do designing/planning in the historical and socio-cultural context. The course contents, teaching characteristics, and specific processes are fully analyzed in this paper to provide a reference for the innovation of domestic (architectural) education.

    Abstract:
    It is of great practical significance to develop English teaching for core curricula in civil engineering major in a bid to cultivate high-quality professionals adapting to the development of globalization. The course of fundamentals of concrete structures possesses the characteristics of scientific, engineering and practice which is representative in the courses of civil engineering. Taking this course as an example, the pilot practice of English teaching in the bilingual course for students in MAO Yisheng Class and English course for international students in Beijing Jiaotong University is introduced. In compliance with the basic requirements of engineering education certification, the teaching notion, content, means, methods, course project, and grading policy are reformed aiming at strengthening English thinking and application of the two groups of students with distinct traits. The practice shows that the English course project helps to improve students’ professional English application ability in an all-round way and the online communication platform of teachers and students with the help of information teaching method effectively sparks students’ motivation and initiative in learning. Based on the pilot teaching experience, suggestions for the sustainable improvement of the courses are proposed.

    Abstract:
    This paper creates a course quality ecosystem based on the teaching life cycle of course initiation, quality planning, quality assurance, quality control, and course conclusion. The responsibility matrix of the teaching and learning community is established, and quality assurance services are implemented. In the course initiation phase, the course requirements are elaborated and defined based on the course planning process of the University of Miami. Bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives is employed to identify the course objectives, based on which the process of teaching and learning is evaluated and the course quality plan is developed. Value chain analysis is adopted to interpret the appreciation and depreciation of teaching activities and evaluate the contribution of these activities to teaching value. In the course quality control phase, diversified assessment methods and practice strategies are developed, and importance is attached to students’ learning process through the two types of formative assessment—assessment for learning and assessment as learning. At the course conclusion phase, multi-channel feedbacks are adopted such as teacher-teacher, teacher-student and third-party feedbacks. Taking learning engagement as an important factor to measure the effectiveness of the course quality ecosystem, data analysis shows that students have a high degree of recognition in terms of course satisfaction and learning performance.

    The concept of MOOC and "flipped classroom" are one of the emphases of current education and teaching reformation in China. However, according to the existing practical experience, there are some theoretical and practical issues remained to be paid attention to and solved urgently in the implementation of MOOC and "flipped classroom". The teaching concept of MOOC and "flip classroom" are discussed in depth. Combined with the "flipped classroom" teaching practice and research of theoretical mechanics. A set of "flipped classroom" teaching theories of basic courses for science and engineering majors are established and applied to the teaching practice, which is beneficial to make a positive contribution to deepening education and teaching reform as well as improving the quality of personnel training in higher education of China.

    Abstract:
    The construction of emerging engineering education puts forward new and higher level requirements for the training of engineering talents in colleges and universities. As a traditional engineering major, the civil engineering major needs to explore the reform of practical teaching system in this situation. Focusing on the connotation of emerging engineering education and the training goal of civil engineering, this paper explores the reform of the practical teaching system of civil engineering.     In order to strengthen the cultivation of students’ professional interest, application and innovation ability, and practical ability to solve complex engineering problems, the ideas of the construction and application of virtual simulation experimental teaching resources serving the triple-leveled professional curriculum system namely the "core-direction-expansion" curriculum system of civil engineering are proposed. The three-level curriculum system has the characteristics of connecting theoretical teaching with practical teaching, and engineering practice with experimental teaching. The course of comprehensive experiment of civil engineering (including virtual simulation) with the characteristics of virtual-real combination is newly established which contains the experimental teaching content urgently needed by civil engineering majors and adapts to the new characteristics of college students’ growth and new laws of education and teaching in the information age.     Abstract:
    Problems existing in the transformation and development of local undergraduate universities, such as practical teaching being subordinated to theory teaching, practical teaching being not concentrated, and the time of students’ practice training and participation in engineering practice being lacking, are analyzed and discussed. Combined with the standards of engineering education certification, a practical teaching system throughout 8 semesters and 4 academic years is constructed with students’ practical ability as the core and ability increment as the goal. The dominant position of practical teaching is guaranteed through the reform of talent training mode, the construction of dual-teacher faculty, the innovation of school-enterprise cooperation mechanism, and the evaluation of goal achievement.     Engineering education accreditation system is very significant for ensuring the quality of undergraduate engineering education. In addition, the evaluation of graduation requirements achievement is an important segment and core content of the system. Based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, a three-level evaluation system including teaching procedure, supporting curriculum and graduation requirement index points is constructed. A case of graduation requirement index points named research capabilities is conducted on the basis of civil engineering specialty in Henan University of Urban Construction. According to the results, the graduation requirements achievement could be demonstrated and the weak items during the three evaluating procedure could be found respectively. The feasibility and applicability of the evaluation system is proved and it makes preparations for the application of graduation requirements achievement evaluation in engineering education accreditation.

    Construction environment and energy application engineering is a major with strong engineering applicability which mainly trains students to be able to engage in industrial and civil construction environment control and energy supply. According to the requirements of engineering certification, each factor of the graduation requirements control index points of construction environment should be calculated according to the training objectives and curriculum system by weight coefficient. At present, due to the short time of engineering certification in China, professional teachers still lack the knowledge, understanding and grasp of the calculation method of relevant weight coefficient, which is not conducive to the teaching under the goal of professional engineering certification and does not meet the professional development requirements of engineering certification. On the basis of engineering certification standard, this paper analyzes the relationship between graduation requirement index points and supporting courses of construction environment. By using AHP, the judgment matrix of index points and supporting courses is established and the weight coefficients of each index point factor are calculated and analyzed, and the weight coefficients of different index points of graduation requirement are obtained. At the same time, the weight coefficient obtained by AHP is compared with that obtained by credit method, and the advantages and disadvantages of each calculation method are pointed out, in order to promote the engineering certification of construction environment specialty.

Firstly, the endogenous demand of ideological and political courses in colleges is clarified. On this basis, ecological teaching thinking science is integrated into ideological and political courses, with problem design as the core and ecological subject enjoying sense of acquisition as the center, to construct a "problem based" ecological classroom model. This mode can fully realize the two-way "sense of acquisition" between teachers and students, so as to better realize the innovation of ideological and political course teaching mode in colleges.

    Abstract:
    Based on the opportunity of transformation of architecture major to application-oriented specialty in Shenyang University of Technology, relying on the practice teaching curriculum reform, this paper explores the thought and method of ideological and political origin in the teaching process and puts forward a new model of education which combines professional education with ideological and political education, that is, creating an architectural practice teaching platform that keeps pace with times and is updated in real time, establishing two ideological and political teaching lines and promoting social values from different historical time lines and multiple perspectives, constructing a three-time and three-space ideological and political teaching environment, and promoting the orderly penetration of four-in-one teaching links and ensuring the full range of personnel involved in the course. After three years of practice, the teaching effect is remarkable, which can provide foundation and construction direction for the ideological and political work of relevant professional courses.

    Abstract:
    The fusion approach of ideological and political education into specialty courses, which has a high ratio of credits, determines the success in building up the ideological and political education system. Meanwhile, it is a challenge for the civil engineering teachers to fuse the ideological and political elements into specialty courses seamlessly and educates students naturally. Design principle of concrete structures is taken as an example to discuss the aims, strong points, and fusion approach of ideological and political education in specialty courses. In specialty courses of civil engineering, the aims of ideological and political education can be set in the views of political and national identities, moral characters and professional ethics, as well as academic ambition and scientific spirit. The introduction part of each curriculum always includes the outlines, engineering applications, development history, and learning methods of the curriculum. The elements of political and national identities, as well as moral characters and professional ethics can be refined and fused into the introduction part. In the sections of professional knowledges, academic ambition and scientific spirit elements can be refined and fused by using historical literatures and classical experiments in the development of the professional knowledges.
