    Abstract:
    Around the Belt and Road Initiative, the "go globally" development strategy of China Railway (CR) is taken as an opportunity. Focusing on Southeast Asian countries and Africa, the talent training advantages of the two Double First-Class construction disciplines of Central South University, namely civil engineering and traffic and transportation engineering, are utilized fully, and the railway engineering international education is studied. The international education system of railway engineering is established, the railway international talent education alliance (RTEA) of the Belt and Road Initiative is initiated, and the railway engineering education community is built. The cooperation in talent training, scientific research, and cultural exchange among the universities along the route is promoted; the school-enterprise cooperative education between the Central South University and the national government departments and large construction enterprises is promoted, and the international accreditation of CR standard is promoted to promote the spread of Chinese culture taking the talent training as a platform.

    Abstract:
    In order to solve the subjectivity and effectiveness problem of university teaching quality evaluation method, a teaching quality evaluation method based on cloud model is presented and the effective strategy of teaching evaluation to avoid the influence of subjectivity is discussed. First, the main content of university teaching quality evaluation is described, which consists of six parts. Then, the subjectivity problem of teaching quality evaluation system is analyzed, and the effectiveness problem of evaluation result is discussed. Finally, using the advantage of cloud model in dealing with fuzziness and randomness of statistics problem, a teaching quality evaluation method based on cloud model membership is proposed, which can improve the reliability and reduce the subjective disturbance. Taking the evaluation data of an engineering mechanics course as an example, the traditional subjective observation exclusion method and statistical standard deviation exclusion method, and the proposed cloud model membership exclusion method and cloud model membership combination method are utilized to evaluate the teaching quality, respectively. The results show that the cloud model membership combination method can precisely evaluate the teaching quality. The method not only reduces the disturbance of subjective factors, but also improves the effectiveness of teaching quality evaluation results.

    Abstract:
    Inverse analysis of the historical context in which Qian Xuesen (H.S.Tsien) proposed idea of technological science was performed. The difference between technology based on experience and technology based on science were first introduced. And then the idea of technological science proposed by Qian Xuesen was introduced logically. The talent training mode based on such a philosophy of technological science is inspiring,especially for mechanics teaching. An in-depth interpretation was offered by combining with examples.

    Abstract:
    Cultural self-confidence is the concentrated expression of the excellent culture of a country and nation at the spiritual level, and the conscious inheritance of the behavior level. As an important material heritage and spiritual and cultural carrier of the university, the historical buildings of the university have the possibility of transforming the outstanding culture of the university into the emotional identity of teachers, students, and employees from the architectural entities, design concepts, and memory spaces. On the basis of pride and self-esteem, build the cultural confidence of university students, and provide cultural prototypes and spiritual accumulation for the effective inheritance and development of university culture. At present, in the context of advocating the excavation of excellent traditional culture, many colleges and universities are experiencing wastes of cultural resources related to historical buildings and inadequate publicity. University students still need to work together to build historical buildings into cultural heritage with unique values and distinctive features, and to become a favorable carrier for enhancing the self-confidence of university culture.

    Abstract:
    The postgraduate curriculum in engineering specialty is the foundation of the knowledge structure and academic ability training. Based on the doctoral curriculum in the United States and questionnaire research of international students with similar majors, this paper investigates the characteristics of the curriculum of engineering graduate program from four aspects, including curriculum content, curriculum across majors, teaching and studying. The curriculum of engineering graduate programs in the United States is more concise and comprehensive, which is very efficient to help graduate students obtain knowledge in a specific area and is the basis for independent academic ability. The course selection system across different majors has a wide range of learning areas and high quality of courses, and provides more opportunities for creativity in students’ future academic study. The teaching involves specific software and tools application, and is close with the most recent advances in both industrial and academic area, which enable the graduate students to get access to academic research. The study includes various tests and requires students to work independently, practicing the students’ ability to plan and work independently, which helps students’ creativity in academic research.

    Under the background of the emerging engineering education of the rapid development of artificial intelligence, it puts forward new challenges to the cultivation of undergraduates in the building electricity and intelligence field. Taking the building electricity and intelligence specialty as an example, this paper analyzes the current situation and development of the students’training and the correspondence between the collaborative theory and the students’training, and applies the collaborative theory to the training of the major.     Building electricity and intelligence specialty is an interdisciplinary subject involving civil engineering, information, electrical and other disciplines. The lack of relevant professionals has become an important reason to hinder the development of intelligent building industry in China. Therefore, the demand of national and social development for cultivating professional talents in building electrical and intelligent fields is imminent. Aiming at the four key issues of a single talent training model for building electrical and intelligent professionals, blurry of training objectives, unclear training characteristics, and disjointed training links, building electricity and intelligence specialty of Anhui Jianzhu University puts forward integrated disciplines according to the needs of social development and composite talents advantaged talented person training method, and constructs the engineering application talents based on emerging engineering education.     The nation clearly considered integration between production and education as the major steps of the reform and development of higher education. In this context, for the problems of college – enterprise cooperation in urban and rural planning specialty from application-oriented institutions, this paper puts forward the college-enterprise cooperation mode of urban and rural planning including teachers, students, enterprises, local governments, vocational training institutions in the perspective of integration between production and education.     Abstract:
    Because of the particular relationship between bridge structure and plastic art, it is difficult to copy or directly use the existing teaching mode of relevant courses between architectural structure, architecture and architectural aesthetics. Bridge and architecture interdisciplinary course emerges as the time requires. The curriculum construction includes the compilation of teaching materials, the reform of teaching syllabus and personnel training mode, among which the teaching material development is the core. The theory and aesthetic creation of urban bridge architecture is based on the theory and engineering technology of bridge structure, the theoretical system and technical route of architecture, the research object of bridge structure technology, function and shape and their internal relationship, and the interdisciplinary subject of theory and creation of urban bridge, comprehensive technology and art. By elaborately arranging the syllabus, teaching contents, teaching methods and assessment methods of undergraduate and graduate courses, Tongji University has successively set up the interdisciplinary elective courses of graduate major and undergraduate excellent general courses, realizing the connection of undergraduate and graduate courses. The reform of curriculum construction and training mode will promote the engineering design from pure technical thinking of bridge structure to the comprehensive thinking and creation of bridge technology and art. The goal is to systematically cultivate the technical creativity and aesthetic creative quality of students majoring in bridge structure and architecture and urban planning.

    Abstract:
    In recent years, with the continuous increase in the scale of enrollment for postgraduate students, the quality of postgraduate students is directly related to the quality of postgraduate training in colleges and universities, how to increase the proportion of high-quality postgraduate students has become particularly important for the training of talents and the development of disciplines in higher colleges and universities. This paper takes the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology as an example, based on the data of master student source of this school in 2016-2019, the registration status of master graduate students in various majors is analyzed, and the proportion of high-quality students and the characteristics of the source structure of graduate students were discussed. The countermeasures to improve the quality of graduate students are put forward, which can provide important reference value for the enrollment of graduate students in similar universities in the future.

    Three-wide education requires continuous improvement of the pertinence and effectiveness of talent training through all employees, the whole process, and all-round measures and paths. Interdisciplinary postgraduates have obvious characteristics. After analysis, it is found that turning disadvantages into strengths is a breakthrough to improve the quality of scientific research, but there is a huge gap between their advantages and disadvantages. How to make up for this gap is the key to solve the problem. Based on the idea of three-wide education, the cultivation mechanism for interdisciplinary postgraduate has been constructed, including the realization of "full-staff education" through the "four into one" system, realization of full-process education through the whole process and key links of the cultivation, realization of all-round education through the joint efforts.

    With the continuous development of the "Belt and Road" strategy, a large number of international students are attracted to China for graduate studies. In order to deeply explore the training mode of postgraduates in transportation engineering specialty, selected overseas students in transportation engineering specialty of Southeast University to conduct questionnaire survey and analysis. Through the principal component factor analysis method, obtained the status quo in four aspects: the participation of graduate students in campus activities, the relevance of scientific research topics, the grasp of learning focus, and the degree of scientific research task commitment; through sample testing, the similarities and differences of the adaptability of overseas graduate students from Asian and African countries to the university training mode are analyzed. The survey results reflected the living and learning status of international students in the School of Transportation of Southeast University. This research then conducted data analysis to explore the weakness of the cultivation of international postgraduate and putted forward corresponding suggestions.

    Under the background of COVID-19, online living and flipping teaching is a new teaching mode,but how to improve its teaching quality is very important. The basic characteristics of blended learning courses was defined, and the online living and flipping teaching mode was put forward, the relationship between them also analyzed. On the base of the online living and flipping teaching practice of engineering economics course, combined with expert experience, the 27 influencing factors for the quality of it were identified. Based on the results of questionnaire survey, the 14 key influencing factors were identified. As a result, the strategies to improve the quality of online living and flipping teaching mode were put forward.

    With the development of the national space planning system, the new requirements have been imposed on the education and teaching of urban and rural safety and disaster prevention and mitigation planning.     Abstract:
    Based on certification standards for engineering education, a kind of practice teaching system, combining universities, enterprises or government sectors and projects, was presented according characteristics of environmental engineering specialty in Hubei Normal University. We discussed the reform methods from five respects to improve the students’abilities for engineering practicing and solve complex engineering problems, including teaching system, practice base constructing, practice teachers, teaching management and evaluation. This project provided a reference for reformation of environmental engineering specialty in local universities or other relevant engineering specialty.

    In order to study the basic mechanical properties of different types of hollow bars made of bamboo strips or bamboo skin commonly used in the structural design contest for college students, and to select the appropriate section size for the model making of competitors, 123 pieces of samples made of bamboo skin with size of 0.2 mm, 0.35 mm, 0.5 mm and bamboo strip with size of 2 mm×2 mm, 3 mm×3 mm with 100 mm in length were made. The ultimate bearing capacity of hollow bar with different side length was tested by electronic pressure testing machine. And its failure form, load mass ratio and ratio of experimental and theoretical values were analyzed. The test results show that the single-layer bamboo skin component is mainly cracked by edges and corners. And the double-layer bamboo skin component is mainly damaged by bending. The composite component of bamboo skin and bamboo strip can avoid the above two kinds of damage forms. The single-layer bamboo skin component with 0.5 mm in depth and 10 mm in width has a higher ultimate bearing capacity. However the ultimate bearing capacity can be reduced by 50% due to manual manufacturing. The load mass ratio of the 0.5 mm double-layer bamboo skin component is the largest, up to 400 N/g, the ultimate bearing capacity of the composite component of bamboo skin and bamboo strip is about 1000 N. And the load mass ratio is between 300 ~ 450 N/g, which is not much different from that of the double-layer bamboo skin. The reduction of bearing capacity due to manual manufacturing is small. It is suitable for structures with large stress.

    In order to improve the quality of experimental teaching in the college, based on the evaluation criteria of experimental teaching achievements, analyzes the current status and existing problems of the teaching of soil mechanics experimental courses in the college, finds the defects in the design of experimental teaching system, adds professional basic experiments on the basis of previous professional experiments, revises the experimental results evaluation plan, discusses the reform of experimental teaching and experimental management methods, optimizes the experimental teaching achievement evaluation system. The results show that the reform of experimental teaching based on the evaluation of experimental class results can better improve the effect of experimental teaching, further improve the experimental teaching method, help to effectively improve the students’ innovation and practical ability, and cultivate the quality and ability of independent scientific research work.

    Henri Lefebvre believed that change in space is the decisive factor in producing change in society, and regarded space as the subject of urban social research. By constructing an interpretive narrative of Levi’s spatial triadic dialectic, and translating social phenomena in space into concrete spatial configurations from the perspective of social phenomena, we explore the possibility of teaching urban research and design as a method to unify space and people, which are separated by paradigm differences in different professional fields, at the disciplinary level, in order to re-examine and understand the interrelationship between architecture, city and society.

    Abstract:
    Curriculum ideology and political is an effective way for colleges to promote teaching reform and improve the quality of curriculum education. At present, the main problems existing in the process of ideology and political education of civil engineering are as follows: the concept of ideological and political education of professional teachers is not strong, the level of ideological and political education is relatively low; the ideological and political education of professional curriculum is lack of practical experience for reference; ideological and political education cannot be effectively implemented owing to the lack of organic connection between relevant professional courses. This paper attempts to take the professional curriculum module as the basic unit to carry out the ideological and political construction from four aspects: improving the ideological and political level of the professional teachers team, carrying out the integration of professional curriculum and professional training, compiling auxiliary teaching materials of ideological and political education, and developing the second classroom of ideological and political education. The dual educational functions of "knowledge imparting" and "value leading" of professional curriculum can be truly realized.     Abstract:
    According to the angle of ideological and political teaching, it takes the teaching of detailed urban planning as an example to make the exploration on the teaching ways for the design courses of urban and rural planning specialty. Based on this, it hopes to promote the simultaneous improvement of the ideological and moral quality as well as the professional knowledge level of students. Then, it will carry out deep research on the all-round and all-chain teaching of the course from these aspects, such as the strength on building teaching team, the extension and perfection of the teaching content, the organization of immersive teaching process and the improvement of the teaching evaluation system. What’s more, it will pay attention to the curriculum value system of urban spatial cognition and start from space justice to build the ideological and political teaching path of emphasizing professional curriculum supplemented by ideological and political course. In this way, it will combine professional knowledge education with the practice of socialist core values, achieve the target of curriculum cultivation guided by value system, and realize the collaborative education of people by combining professional education with ideological and political education.

    Abstract:
    Based on an in-depth understanding of the significance and connotation of ideological and political courses, taking engineering management frontier as a pilot course, this paper discusses how to carry out ideological and political construction work for civil engineering management specialty. According to the main line of the course teaching, this paper constructs the ideological and political teaching system and content of the frontier course of engineering management, and puts forward the special teaching organization mode and means to facilitate the ideological and political content into the professional courses, so as to maximize the teaching efficiency of the course. With the questionnaire survey, analyzes the practical application effect of ideological and political construction of the engineering management frontier course. The results show that the expected goal of ideological and political teaching in the course of engineering management frontier has been achieved, which can provide experience for further ideological and political education teaching.
