    Abstract:
    Industry characteristic universities are an important part of China's higher education system and also an important force to promote the development of industry economy. Architecture universities are typical industry characteristic universities which are bound to move towards a new stage of deep integration and symbiotic development with the architecture industry. With the deepening of higher education reform and the urgent need of the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry, the development of traditional architectural universities is facing many problems. In the new period, re-examining the characteristics and connotation of characteristic universities in the industry, analyzing the development dilemma and exploring the way of high-quality development of characteristic universities in the construction industry to help them move towards high-level characteristic universities have become major issues that must be paid attention to and solved in China's higher architectural education.

    Abstract:
    Taking the teaching reform of highway tunnel engineering undergraduate education as an example, aiming at the new requirements of the construction of a strong transportation country for the training of highway tunnel professionals to be "the world leader", the concept and teaching method of engineering education aiming at cultivating "leading" first-class undergraduate talents are proposed and implemented. A talent training system of "two stages, three tutors, and four platforms" has been constructed and implemented, and a curriculum innovation system featuring practicality, innovation and strength has been formed. The "five-stage teaching method" of the tunnel course combined with leading engineering construction has been created, the major engineering practice base and on-site virtual perception demonstration platform have been built, and the guarantee system has been established to enhance students' engineering "leading" awareness and innovation ability. It has solved the problems of how to cultivate talents in highway tunnel engineering education to adapt to the "world leader", the students' desire for development, the needs of employers, and the problem that the contents, methods, digital simulation and practice of engineering teaching lag behind the rapidly changing "world leading" major tunnel projects. It has also solved the engineering education problems such as students' weak sense of engineering innovation. It has cultivated a batch of "leading" first-class professional talents playing backbone roles in major tunnel projects at home and abroad.

    Abstract:
    The core requirement of engineering education certification is to train qualified engineers with the ability to solve complex engineering problems. Based on the core concept of "three-dimensional synergy", the Department of Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering in Beijing University of Technology has established a talent training mode with a system of essential knowledge modules, a hierarchical multi-dimensional comprehensive practice teaching system, and a comprehensive quality training mechanism. This model combines the engineering certification concepts of student-centered, outcome-based and continuous improvement, incorporates new technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence in the process of knowledge transfer, ability training and quality cultivation, tracks the achievement of students' learning goals in real time and develops students' ability to solve complex engineering problems progressively. It constructs a model for cultivating the ability to solve complex engineering problems and is of great significance in the implementation of engineering education certification and promotion of the construction of emerging engineering education.

    Abstract:
    The high-quality development of engineering construction in the new era has raised new requirements for the education of engineering construction talents. Based on the engineering paradigm of high education, the goal of engineering construction talent cultivation need be transformed from science and technology knowledge education to the overall cultivation of the quality and ability of students including engineering social awareness and thinking. The connotation and composition of engineering social awareness are analyzed in this paper. For cultivating engineering social awareness, students should be led to understand the social attributes of engineering from multi-dimensional views. Then taking the construction management major as an example, this paper discusses the path of engineering social awareness cultivation of engineering construction talents.

    Abstract:
    In order to cultivate postgraduates' family and country feelings together with improving their knowledge and ability, the postgraduate training mode of cultural coupling is proposed under the background of emerging engineering education. Through the exploration of cultural coupling postgraduate training mode in the discipline of transportation engineering at Southeast University, three platforms including characteristic course platform, multi-mode research practice platform and high-level resource platform and the discipline culture construction are expounded. Then the practical effects of the cultural coupling mechanism and the cultivation of family and country feelings are analyzed by the three coupling points of teaching activities, academic activities and academic idol. It can provide reference for implementing of fostering virtue through education and improving the quality of postgraduate training.

    Abstract:
    The professional course of geotechnical postgraduates has the characteristics of complicated content, strong standardization, and close combination of theory and practice. Through the analysis of the current situation and existing problems of the professional course teaching of geotechnical postgraduates, the necessity and urgency of the reform of the teaching mode of "integrating research into teaching" are put forward. This paper discusses the teaching mode of geotechnical courses based on scientific research cases, including the collection and screening of scientific research results, the optimization of teaching content, the reform and implementation of teaching methods. The research results have guiding and reference significance for improving the teaching quality of geotechnical graduate courses.

    Abstract:
    With the development of new building industrialization and intelligent construction, the transformation and upgrading of the civil engineering industry accelerate continuously. The industry of civil engineering shows new characteristics of industrialization, digitization, and intelligence. There are tremendous changes in characteristics of practitioners and the educating and teaching of related majors. Considering the new characteristics of the era, Research Institute of Civil Engineering Construction in Southeast University proposes the teaching philosophy called "three-dimensional and six-degree" in the teaching system of civil engineering construction and innovates the teaching system of civil engineering construction. This teaching system covers the undergraduate, master and doctor education stages by establishing the modular teaching chases of "cognition-laying foundation-extension-synthesizing-improvement-leading edge", and the teaching system has achieved good teaching results after years of practice.

    Abstract:
    In view of the current situation that the graduation design of civil engineering is mostly implemented by students of each major alone and lacks multi-disciplinary cooperation, a joint graduation design teaching mode based on CDIOF-BIM is proposed. This model takes CDIOF as the guiding ideology, relies on actual engineering projects, takes BIM technology as the platform, and formulates corresponding teaching processes and practice methods. Through the analysis of CDIOF-BIM teaching practice examples, the feasibility of this teaching mode is verified. From the effect of implementation, this model has been recognized by teachers and students, and students' abilities in engineering design, information acquisition, and collaborative innovation have been improved.

    Abstract:
    In order to adapt to the trend of international architectural education and cope with the demand of new urbanization and the national strategy of innovation-driven development, in view of the problems prevailed in the teaching of architecture such as knowledge separation, knowledge and practice separation, and limitations of platform construction, the School of Architecture at Southeast University has systematically built a new education system for innovative talents training through the reform of the curriculum system, teaching mode and education platform. Among them, the horizontal integration and vertical advancement of the curriculum matrix is the basic core of the new system, the interaction of internal and external practical teaching supported by the multi-dimensional collaborative platform is an important enhancement of classroom teaching, and the integrated teaching mode with the design curriculum as the core is the implementation guarantee for the pedagogical achievement. Upon more than ten years' experience, the teaching reform has caused positive influence home and abroad, which has also convinced us to continue exploring the cultivation path of high-end talents in architecture, as well as to provide an example with Chinese characteristics for international architecture education.

    Abstract:
    Professional courses are the main support of ideological and political construction of courses. It is of great significance to integrate ideological and political education into professional courses. Taking the course of principles of steel structure as an example, this paper discusses the practical path of collaborative education of ideological and political courses and professional courses. People educating requires finding the direction and focusing on the key points. In this paper, taking teaching objectives as the main line, with professional knowledge as the background, five breakthrough points are found. Through the breakthrough points, the teaching objectives and ideological and political objectives are organically combined, the ideological and political elements contained in professional courses are deeply explored, and a complete value evaluation system is constructed. Paying close attention to the "main force" of teachers, the "main battlefield" of curriculum construction, and the "main channel" of classroom teaching, a complete new educational path through three teaching methods, three teaching steps, and one evaluation system is formed. Strengthening students' professional knowledge, enhancing students' "four self-confidences", and enhancing students' feelings of home and country, the teaching effect of teaching and educating people together and joint construction of major and ideological and political education has truly achieved. This study can provide reference for similar majors to carry out curriculum ideological and political education.

    Abstract:
    This study analyzed the influence of the design of integrated curriculum of civil engineering majors and the change of completion semester of subjects on the quality of students' knowledge system and graduation projects according to the concept of CDIO engineering education based on conceiving, designing, implementing and operating. Through this the integrated curriculum plan of architectural courses was reviewed to improve the quality of graduation project and students' practical abilities. This study was conducted on graduates from 2017-2020 of the university to which the author belongs. This research figures out that the integrated curriculum plan of architectural courses can effectively improve students' comprehensive mastery of architectural knowledge. Furthermore, although the teaching team has a clear understanding of the coherence among architectural courses from the perspective of "teaching", the students still do not have a clear understanding of the coherence among the courses from the perspective of "receiving". They stayed in mastering the contents of each course and failed to meet the "integrated learning experiences" required by CDIO.

    Under the background of national "golden course" construction, research-oriented teaching not only emphasizes the unity of "teaching" and "learning", but also attaches importance to the integration of "teaching" and "research", which has become the focus of teaching reform in higher education at present. Incorporating research-oriented teaching into mechanics courses can better stimulate students' learning enthusiasm and innovative spirit, deepen their understanding and mastery of knowledge, and pay more attention to the engineering application of mechanics knowledge. Elasticity is one of the most difficult courses for engineering undergraduates. Its essence is to solve the boundary value problem of partial differential equations under given boundary conditions. However, the difficulty of solving elastic mechanics is that it is greatly difficult to satisfy the boundary conditions. Therefore, in the teaching practice of elastic mechanics, taking Saint Venant's principle and its application as an example, the design and practice of research-oriented teaching case are implemented. Through the in-depth elaboration and extension of the basic concepts, basic problems and basic methods in the basic teaching contents, combined with typical engineering examples, how to effectively understand and flexibly apply Saint Venant's principle in different local boundaries is discussed in this study. The effect of teaching practice shows that carrying out research-oriented teaching in mechanics courses can enable students to more deeply understand the essence of mechanics and the flexibility of its application, and then feel the beauty of mechanics.

    Abstract:
    MOOC, the massive open online course, is an important form of a combination of information technology and education. It provides support and guarantee for blended teaching and plays a crucial role in boosting the education revolution and intensive development for college and university courses. Based on the national excellent resource sharing course design of concrete structure at Wuhan University (abbreviated as concrete structure), the MOOC course construction is carried out. The curriculum structure is transformed and optimized through content reconstruction, teaching design and online applicability, and the curriculum characteristics are formed. Based on the OBE concept, according to the degree of difficulty of knowledge points, different levels and forms of blended teaching mode are constructed, and corresponding evaluation methods are established. Practice shows that it can stimulate the enthusiasm and initiative of students and improve the quality of teaching.

    The School of Civil Engineering of Chongqing University takes double first-class construction, double ten thousand plan, excellent plan, emerging engineering construction and other policy strategies and reform projects as opportunities and aims at cultivating comprehensive engineering talents with innovative spirit and excellent practical and application ability. It continues to build and improve its curriculum by means of knowledge system improvement, integration of scientific research and teaching resources, interdisciplinary teaching, educational informationization construction and diversified teaching methods expansion. Since 2003, building environment and energy application engineering speciality has taken the lead in building and practicing the independent experimental "professional comprehensive experiment course". The course carries out the teaching philosophy of "student-centered" and has a distinct sequential and systematic character in talent cultivation.     Nowadays, domestic architectural art education can be summarized into three systems: "traditional technique training", "structural sketching training", and "visual perception training" which is more in line with current trends. By analyzing their origins and characteristics and comparing the teaching summaries of different scholars, this paper summarizes the current situation and innovation direction of domestic architectural art education. Meanwhile, on the basis of in-depth analysis of the specific teaching structure, characteristics, and deficiencies of "visual perception training" system, aiming at the current situation of architectural art education in local colleges and universities, starting from the aspects of "regional", "curriculum interaction" and "personal emotion", it is possible to propose a new concept of "visual perception training" from a critical perspective and conduct corresponding teaching reform experiments.

    Abstract:
    Civil engineering structure experiment is a very important professional course, which is divided into steel structure experiment and concrete structure experiment according to materials. In view of the problems in the current steel structure experimental teaching such as focusing on theory neglecting practice, lack of experimental content, inability to strengthen the theoretical teaching effect, and few practical links for students, teaching reforms are explored in terms of teaching methods and teaching content. In terms of teaching methods, student autonomy experiments is emphasized, and teacher-student interaction is increased by the use of social information platforms. In terms of teaching content, it is proposed to change the steel beam bending test from a demonstrative test to a destructive test designed by students to enhance the theoretical teaching effect, e.g., improving the understanding of partial plate buckling and overall instability of the beam. In addition, the practice of assembling the steel components into the overall steel structure in the test is also proposed. The purpose of the teaching reform is to improve the quality of steel structure test teaching and then improve the teaching effect of steel structure theory and curriculum design practice. The paper also provides a reference for strengthening students' practical ability, engineering ability, and innovation ability training.

    The civil engineering graduation design is a special comprehensive training that combines professional theory and engineering practice with many tasks. According to the practical teaching characteristics of civil engineering graduation design, the paper puts forward some countermeasures on how to carry out online guidance effectively under the COVID-19 epidemic to ensure the progress and quality. This paper analyzes the difficulties of online guidance of civil engineering graduation design such as difficulty in finding professional design manuals and specifications, poor intuitiveness in drawing guidance and theoretical derivation, poor individual learning atmosphere and difficulty in supervision by teachers. The paper probes into the countermeasures from the aspects of constructing electronic literature database, using multi-dimensional network teaching platform, enhancing interactive activities, refining task objectives, strengthening process management, and controlling and guaranteeing design quality and progress. Combining with concrete cases, the paper introduces the implementation process and teaching effect, and forms a set of effective online guidance mode which gives prominence to the principal position of students and the leading role of teachers.     In early 2020, COVID-19 outbroke worldwide. Under the requirement of the Ministry of Education that "teaching and learning never stop under school closure", online teaching has received unprecedented attention. How to ensure the quality of online teaching and ensure the learning effect of students has become the teaching difficulties during the epidemic period. Taking the port channel and coastal engineering specialty of Tongji University as an example, the platform selection, organization arrangement, assessment method, and quality management of online teaching are explored, and the online teaching quality assurance system concerning "platform selection putting emphasis on effect, teaching organization on training, student assessment on process, and practice link on guidance" is put forward. As one of the first great spirits to be included in the spiritual pedigree of the Communist Party of China, the Hongyan Spirit is an important resource for the ideals and beliefs education. Therefore, due to the background of the new era, it is necessary to play an important part of it in the ideals and beliefs education.     Abstract:
    Group reading can change the utilitarian situations that students only care scores in traditional reading teaching. It is good to create harmonious atmosphere and get students used to the era of rapid increase of information. Introducing the teaching conception of group reading to traditional courses on ideological and political dimension satisfies class teaching requirements and current needs. Specific methods of group reading teaching, introducing through red classics, are topic-designed, problem-orientated, texts-practice merged, students-orientated and classic representing. It can make favorable class atmosphere and enhance massive participation. Students could understand the red spirit by osmosis and inherit the red gene. Introducing group reading means two-way integration and taking merits from each other rather than giving up traditional teaching conception.

    Abstract:
    The development of undergraduate ideological and political theory courses in the new era has already entered the new stage of emphasizing connotative development from extension growth. In view of this, it is imperative to establish a scientific and reasonable overall quality evaluation of ideological and political theory courses. It should be focused on the four aspects as following. In evaluation subject, the transformation from single-subject evaluation to dual-subject interactive evaluation should be realized. In the perspective of evaluation, the change from micro evaluation to combination of macro and micro should be realized. In evaluation method, the transformation from explicit evaluation to unification of explicit and implicit should be realized. In evaluation dimension, it is important to change from static evaluation to static and dynamic integration.

    Abstract:
    Labor education is an important part of fostering human all-round development. The evaluation standard of labor education practice base plays an important guiding role in the construction of labor education base. This paper uses Nvivo12 Plus to encode and classify the evaluation standards of labor education practice bases in 7 provinces and finds that the evaluation standard systems have some common advantages such as emphasizing safe operation as the focus of labor education practice base construction, complete facilities as the center of labor education practice base construction, and educating people as the core of labor education practice base construction. However, there are also some problems such as ignoring the evaluation of teaching feedback, the content is too general and not comprehensive, ignoring the evaluation of the base teachers, and the convergence of indicators in various provinces which lacks directivity. Therefore, in order to better play the leading role of the evaluation standard system, the teaching feedback of the education base should be included in the evaluation standard system, the composition of the teaching force should be clearly listed as the evaluation index, the educational content of emerging labor form should be increased, and the characteristics of various places should be highlighted in the evaluation standard, so that the evaluation standard system of the labor education practice base can better serve the needs of the development of labor education.
