    Abstract:
    This paper selects the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) funded by the Youth Science Foundation of NSFC regarding Architectural History and Theory as the research object, and collects and sorts the successfully declared fund projects in this field throughout the last decade (2010-2019). Several factors, including the number of funded projects and the distribution of units, were analyzed and compared. This paper focuses on the topic content of the project and keywords, quantify statistics and draws charts from the aspects of time and space distribution of research objects, element characteristics, research types and research methods. On this basis, it analyzes and reveals the static and dynamic topic selection features and changing trends of approved projects. This paper is aimed to give citations and references to assist young scholars in selecting a project topic.

    Abstract:
    After more than 30 years of development, professional degree graduate education in China has become an important component of graduate education, and has formed a unique research field in the academic community. Excel and CiteSpace software were used to conduct quantitative and visual analysis of 3 431 core journal articles related to professional degree graduate education research in the CNKI database. The annual distribution, core author composition, and published journals of the articles were statistically analyzed. The research hotspots of professional degree graduate education are summarized through keyword clustering analysis. The professional degree graduate education is divided into four stages: the reference and exploration period (1991-1995), the practice and expansion period (1996-2001), the summary and reflection period (2002-2008), and the connotation promotion period (2009-2022). The research content and characteristics of each stage are discussed. Summarize the development trend of professional degree graduate education from three levels, and strengthen the research on the guiding role of national development strategies in the development of professional degree graduate education guided by strategic guidance at the macro level; Research on the innovation and construction of professional degree graduate education and training system driven by goal orientation at the medium level; At the micro level, issue oriented research is used as a starting point to carry out historical tracing, practical exploration, and international comparison and reference research.

    Abstract:
    After the higher education entering the stage of popularization, China has put forward new requirements for promoting the revolution of higher education quality and constructing quality culture, making the importance of undergraduate program education quality assurance more and more prominent. Engineering education of American colleges and universities explores the theory and practice of continuous quality improvement of program education, which can provide a reference for the quality assurance in undergraduate program education in China. Under the guidance of program accreditation agencies, the concept of continuous quality improvement has been internalized by American colleges and universities as the core concept of the quality assurance of program education; the process of continuous quality improvement is gradually optimized, covering the definition of educational objectives of engineering program, the definition of expected educational outcome of engineering program, the confirmation of evidence that can prove educational outcome, etc.; the continuous quality improvement is confronted by technical dilemma which have caused pressures and challenges for engineering faculty to develop new methods; the concept of continuous quality improvement guides and forms positive assessment, empirical and quality cultures.

    Abstract:
    The fast growth of a fresh phase of scientific and technical revolution and industrial transformation has prompted new engineering education requirements. Faced with the demands of future industrial development and the weakness of existing engineering education, China’s new engineering education transformation has made it a top priority to cultivate students with forward-looking new knowledge and technology systems and the ability to solve future problems for new engineering construction. This paper examined MIT’s New Engineering Education Reform plan in detail, covering the plan’s guiding principles, project-centered threads, and governance mode, using MIT as an example of a global leader in the new engineering education transformation. In addition, it analyzed innovative methods in training mode, curriculum system, and governance mode, namely integrating thinking mode into NEET project, integrating engineering education into practice, changing roles of teacher and student and integrating school and enterprise, and put forward development suggestions for China’s engineering education. This paper is to serve as a resource and shed light on China’s engineering education reform in the new era.
    5  Investigation and comparison of undergraduate training programs of civil engineering in top universities at home and abroad

    Abstract:
    Civil engineering is an independent science and technology, aims to improve the convenience, efficiency, safety, and comfort of human life and production by creating and changing the environment. As the world’s largest developing country, China has a huge demand for civil engineering professionals. There are over 550 universities in China that offer civil engineering majors, accounting for more than 20% of the total number of universities. In the era of rapid technological iteration, studying the undergraduate training programs of top civil engineering programs at domestic and foreign universities has important practical significance. Based on a comprehensive evaluation of the top universities and top civil engineering programs, this paper selects six representative universities from the top 50 in civil and structural engineering in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021-2022. A detailed investigation and comparative analysis of their undergraduate training programs in civil engineering was conducted, providing a reference for Chinese universities to build world-class civil engineering programs. The main conclusions and recommendations are given as follows: The six universities all have generally consistent talent training goals, emphasizing not only knowledge impartation, value shaping and ability cultivation. Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University require significantly more course credits for undergraduate graduation than the four foreign universities, and the course distribution is uneven. Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University are weaker in humanities and arts courses than several top foreign universities, but they offer more diverse elective courses in the field of civil engineering. The course system is the most important tool for achieving training goals, and it is recommended that top Chinese universities offering civil engineering programs should reduce the total course load appropriately and increase the number of humanities and arts courses, giving students more time for extracurricular learning and digestion, in order to achieve a balanced and coordinated cultivation of knowledge impartation, value shaping and ability cultivation.

    Abstract:
    In the new era of territorial space planning system, urban design as a tool of spatial development and governance, is an important support for the realization of high-quality development of territorial space. How to cultivate suitable urban design talents is the focus of the current urban design teaching reform. The urban design course of the University of Auckland in New Zealand adopts the characteristic action research studio teaching, and attaches great importance to the comprehensive quality training of urban design talents, paying attention to the cultivation of space design and the governance ability of urban design talents. Its experience has certain reference and reference significance for studio teaching in our country. Studio teaching of urban design in the University of Auckland adheres to the innovative teaching philosophy of CPS and features action research, focusing on the cultivation of students’ academic accomplishment, critical thinking, decision-making ability, research independence, and comprehensive ability of social responsibility. Studio teaching of urban design includes five parts: current situation investigation, problem discovery, opinion generation, solution formulation, and solution strategy formation. The teaching content covers a series of courses such as spatial design and governance implementation. Through teaching methods such as lectures, research, reading, discussion, and consultation, urban morphology theory is integrated into project practice teaching, letting students participate in the action research of urban dynamic development and construction from multiple perspectives to achieve the purpose of innovative problem-solving. It introduced the application and practice of the action research method in urban design teaching in the University of Auckland, taking the development of the Auckland waterfront plot and the development of studio teaching as an example. Finally, Aiming at the problems existing in the teaching of urban design in my country, this paper puts forward suggestions on the ability training that emphasizes comprehensive quality, enriching the studio content of management and implementation, and teaching methods of action research.

    Abstract:
    Comprehensive universities should be an important platform for the development of legal education under their multidisciplinary advantages, nevertheless, the long-term division of disciplines and management mechanisms has become an extreme obstacle to the development of interdisciplinary legal education. How to give full play to the multidisciplinary advantages of comprehensive universities and provide external support for interdisciplinary legal talents has become a crucial issue. Though discriminating the current situation of engineering-law talent training, the deep-seated reasons behind the dilemma of compound talent training are analyzed. Taking civil-law interdisciplinary talents training as an example, the dual path compound talent training goal was determined, and the diversion system of learning direction was established. The reform was optimized from the aspects of curriculum system and practical training mode. The dual path interdisciplinary zone model was implemented, and good talent training results were achieved. Combined with the exploration of the training mode of wide caliber Juris Master education, the research on the training system of civil law was completed.

    Abstract:
    The development of modern education encourages enterprises to participate in the training of students in universities, deepen the integration of industry and education, and cultivate high-quality applied talents needed by the industry. With the promotion and application of new materials, new energy and new technologies in the engineering management industry, the cultivation of engineering management professionals requires the integration of industry and education. Industry, university, research, and application collaborative education is an important way to integrate industry and education. However, there are still many deficiencies in this mechanism, for example, the professional training program and curriculum system are difficult to meet the needs of industry development; the mobility of talents between schools and enterprises is low; the interests of schools and enterprises cannot be taken into account; the development motivation is lacking and the development mechanism is not perfect, etc. To solve these deficiencies, this study proposes the following methods, for example, establish an undergraduate curriculum system based on market demand; establish a teacher system for the flow of talents between schools and enterprises; establish a 3+1 training system that deeply integrates theory and practice; establish a whole process and diversification supervision and evaluation system, as well as an educational platform for the common progress of schools and enterprises. Meanwhile, it is necessary to establish a motivation mechanism for the participation of universities and enterprises; a guarantee mechanism for the smooth implementation of collaborative education projects; an incentive mechanism for stimulating the participation of all parties; and an effect evaluation and feedback mechanism. Finally, an industry, university, research, and application collaborative unified platform sustainable operation mechanism will be formed. Therefore, the government should increase its support for industry, university, research, and application, and continue to encourage construction companies to increase investment in university education by improving the law and solidifying the legal foundation of the platform. At the same time, financial subsides and tax incentives should be given to relevant groups, a special development plan for engineering management industry colleges should be implemented, and the university’s positioning should be clarified to gradually form a benign development mechanism.

    Abstract:
    With the further development of science and technology and innovation, China has put higher requirements for the training of innovative talents. Based on the background of emerging engineering education and the idea of large-scale engineering, this paper proposes a new educational system that calculates modern project management talents with innovative spirit from teaching philosophy, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching tools, school-enterprise cooperation and the international exchange and research platform, which establishes a new educational philosophy and teaching reform system. The content of this educational reform has been implemented in the talent training project in School of Management Science and Real Estate of Chongqing University and has achieved remarkable results, which has referential value for the educational innovation and development of engineering majors under the background of emerging engineering education and the idea of large-scale engineering, and provide guidance support for the training of innovative talents in engineering management major.

    Abstract:
    The postgraduate education has gone into a new era of structural adjustment with the coming of the concept of emerging engineering education. However, the quality of postgraduate education in civil and hydraulic engineering has been affected by various factors and the quality has declined. A questionnaire survey is employed in this paper to collect the current development status of postgraduates of civil engineering and hydraulic engineering in Fujian Agricultural and Forestry University on a basis of the characteristics and basic conditions of agriculture and forestry universities. Meanwhile, a gray-scale prediction model is introduced to predict the future trend of the collected monitoring data. The results show that the innovation and practice level of postgraduate students in civil and hydraulic engineering has greatly declined and foreign language ability has not enhanced yet. To address these issues, various improvement measures and suggestions for innovation ability, practice level and foreign language ability are proposed in this paper with focuses on universities and teachers. This study really reveals current problems of postgraduate students in civil and hydraulic engineering to an extent. In addition, a quality improvement method in line with the concept of emerging engineering education is proposed to solve these problems, which benefits colleges and universities to cultivate high-quality civil and hydraulic engineering professionals with perspectives of the future development pattern.

    Abstract:
    Under the background of the national strategy of a country with strong transportation network, the construction of transportation infrastructure urgently needs to be guided by new infrastructure, new urbanization initiatives and major projects to meet the requirements of smart transportation in the new era. As the main body of professional talent cultivation, universities should closely align with national strategies and industry demands, encourage the cross-disciplinary integration of transportation engineering with other subjects, promote the specialization of transportation engineering towards intelligent and information-based directions, and systematically reform the postgraduate training mode. This article first points out the challenges faced by postgraduate students in transportation infrastructure from both industry and university perspectives. Starting from the existing problems in the current training system, the article summarizes the four core competencies that postgraduate students in transportation infrastructure should possess: knowledge iteration ability, engineering practice ability, technological innovation ability, and international adaptation ability, focusing on theoretical knowledge, practical abilities, innovative thinking, and international perspectives. Based on this, the article proposes a reform plan for the training mode for postgraduate students in the cross-disciplinary direction of smart transportation infrastructure, with the core goal of improving the quality of postgraduate education. The plan includes curriculum systems, training modes, and cross-disciplinary integration as the main measures, with management methods, mentor teams, and practical platforms as a solid foundation to ensure the effective implementation of the reform measures. Three Supports and Three Guarantees are organically linked to jointly improve the quality of postgraduate education in this field, forming the concept of the reform of the training mode for postgraduate students in the cross-disciplinary direction of smart transportation infrastructure. Finally, relying on the practical exploration case of the School of Transportation Science and Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology, the article introduces a series of achievements in international education, cross-disciplinary integration, and school-enterprise cooperation, providing a positive and reference model for the construction of the training mode for postgraduate students in the cross-disciplinary direction of smart transportation infrastructure.

    Abstract:
    Facing the new challenges and opportunities of transformation and upgrading under the background of informatization and intelligence in the construction industry in the era of Industry 4.0, we transform the traditional education concept which is school-based and enterprise-assisted, explore the new concept of dual-subjects collaborative training of school-enterprise peers in architecture-related specialties. Through the innovation of talent training objectives and graduation requirements, and the construction of the characteristic practical course system, system guarantee, and the creation of the education platform, the dual-subject training mode is built in architecture- related specialties. The research of mode innovation is based on the concept of emerging engineering education and is oriented to the needs of the construction industry. We create the Harbin Institute of Technology Paradigm in the new era of higher education teaching reform by convergence multi-disciplinary, multi-resources and 8 years of exploration. The research results provide a new enlightenment and path for the education development and transformation of architecture- related specialties.

    A strong education makes a country strong, and a prosperous talent makes a nation prosperous. Moral education is the fundamental task of education, the coordinated development of moral education and intellectual education, and the integration of ideological and political courses into postgraduate courses in the new era have important guiding significance. Ideological and political education is based on imparting theoretical knowledge and carrying out ideological education at the same time, the use of Marxist views to train college students to set up firm ideals and beliefs and correct world outlook, outlook on life, values. The teaching design and practice of bridge wind engineering course carry out research and construction work from three aspects: holistic teaching framework of curriculum ideology and politics, exploration of teaching methods combining online + offline, teaching + discussion and teaching practice cases combining theory and practice, science and characteristics.     Curriculum ideological and political education is an effective way to implement the Party’s leading role in the ideological and political work in colleges and universities and to cultivate contemporary talents. After several years of exploration and practice, the teaching team of real estate management in Huazhong University of Science and Technology has found the universal path and targeted measures of ideological and political recessive education. However, in-depth study found that the course of real estate management,aiming at cultivating the new force of government agencies and their constituent departments, is obviously not enough to pursue implicit ideological and political education but must pursue explicit ideological and political education, explicit education, sound education and clear-cut education.     Abstract:
    As structural design methods based on reliability theory develop rapidly, reliability theory has become an important knowledge for civil engineering students. Because the reliability theory seems to be abstract and complex due to the numerical algorithms involved, learning reliability theory has been a challenging task for students. In this paper, a teaching method based on visualization of computation is described, which is developed through the commonly available software EXCEL. With such a teaching method, different reliability algorithms which involve heavy numerical computations are implemented, where the intermediate results can be displayed explicitly and the programming requirements can be eliminated. As such, students can focus more on the concept and principles of the reliability theory, other than the tedious calculation details, understand and master relevant knowledge points easily, and apply the learned knowledge to their own research fields. The method of visualization of computation can significantly enhance the efficiency of learning, and improve the effectiveness of teaching. It provides a powerful tool for teaching reliability theory for civil engineering students.

    Abstract:
    During the teaching of geometric construction analysis in structural mechanics course, it was found that students did not master several key concepts, which may cause mistakes in problem solving. In order to improve the understanding of new concepts, the conceptual variation originating from pedagogy of variation was adopted in class teaching activities, which is based on the theory of knowledge visualization and cognitive load. According to some mistakes in students’ homework, the graphical representations of essential variation and unessential variation of the concepts, such as virtual hinge, hinged triangle and binary system, were provided to complement the original explanation of the new concepts. Owing to the conceptual variation teaching method, the students’ cognitive load in learning was reduced and the long-term memory was formed more easily. Finally, the teaching effectiveness was investigated, which shown that the conceptual variation method will help students not only enhance their ability to correctly analyze the geometric construction, but also cultivate their personal perceptual ability.

    Abstract:
    Under the new situation, the cultivation of technically complex talents with a wide caliber and multidisciplinary interdisciplinary talents with a heavy foundation in urban and rural planning is inevitable, and the study and practice of urban and rural planning majors have entered a brand new field of development. The ability to innovate and the ability to control the process are two abilities that are focused on in the brand new development process of urban and rural planning majors. A dynamic survey of current undergraduates and graduates within five years was conducted through an online questionnaire, which gathered that there were many problems in the design class, such as students’ loosening before and tightening process control, stuck thinking at key points, and disconnection with hot issues in society. Course practice takes the urban and architectural design course link in the basic stage of urban and rural planning major design of Zhengzhou University as an example. Micro-modules are flexibly implanted in the design course, and the key nodes of the course are corrected and improved. The scheme exchange link is added in the creative stage of design conception in the early stage of the course to break through the bottleneck of design conception; the deepening process of the middle and late stages of the course increases special research and technical simulation support, and increases the depth of design content and the breadth of thinking problems; after-class self-evaluation links are added after class, summarizes the gains and losses, and find countermeasures.     Abstract:
    The foundation of colleges and universities lies in moral and cultivating people. One of the effective means of moral is ideological and political education. The deep integration of professional courses and ideological and political education is an inevitable requirement for higher education under the current ideological and political background. Teachers should dig deep into ideological and political elements in the course of professional teaching, pay attention to the synergy between professional education and value guidance, and insist on ideological and political education in the whole process of higher education teaching. Taking the ideological and political construction of architectural construction course as an example, this paper explores the teaching system construction of integrating ideological and political education into architectural construction course from two aspects of theoretical knowledge and practical teaching, so as to construct an integrated and innovative ideological and political teaching mode of architectural construction course. Through case teaching method, the theoretical knowledge of architectural construction is used to deeply analyze architectural engineering practice cases, and the teaching of architectural construction course is deeply integrated with ideological and political education, so as to deliver ideological and political elements contained in engineering practice cases to students, and cultivate students’ craftsmanship spirit of bearing hardships and striving for perfection and good professional ethics to imperceptibly realize the fundamental goal of higher education and moral education.

    Abstract:
    Curriculum ideological and political construction, as a strategic measure to carry out the fundamental task of moral education, has become the main direction of major education and teaching reform in universities and majors across the country. As a core course of landscape architecture major in domestic universities, Chinese garden history has an important mission of making students form correct historical and philosophical views, and should become the forefront of ideological and political construction of professional courses. Taking the curriculum teaching reform of Chinese garden history in the landscape architecture major of Guangzhou University as an example, this paper put forward a path of curriculum ideological and political construction through interactive measures in class and after class, in order to promote the students’ learning, thinking, practice and comprehension, and to achieve the teaching goals of understanding the law of historical development, increasing confidence in garden art, advocating moral characters of loving the motherland and loving the people, and striving to apply professional skills to serve the country. Among them, the measures in class are: build a macro structure and give consideration to horizontal and vertical knowledge points; use knowledge points to drive knowledge plate learning, and highlight details and key points; review the old and learn from the new. The measures after class are: use tasks to drive student-led implementation; set mandatory tasks and optional tasks to respect the individual differences of students; use formative assessment to encourage students to compete. The exploration of relevant teaching reform has promoted the comprehensive realization of the knowledge goal, ability goal and value goal of the curriculum teaching, which can provide reference for the construction of the curriculum ideological and political construction of Chinese garden history and related courses.

    Abstract:
    Integrating the ideological and political elements into the teaching of specialized courses, and forming synergistic effect with the ideological and political theory courses has become a new trend in the teaching of engineering courses in college and universities. However, how to better integrate the ideological and political elements with the teaching of specialized knowledge effectively to achieve the effect of moistening things silently is the emphases and difficulties faced by the teachers of specialized courses. Taking the course steel structure design principles which is a core curriculum of civil engineering as an example, this paper makes a preliminary exploration of the method and path of integrating the ideological and political elements into the teaching of specialized courses. Firstly, based on the "four self-confidence" and combined with the characteristics of the course, the curriculum politics construction objectives of institutional identity, cultural self-confidence, professional moral cultivation and scientific spirit are determined. Then, around the curriculum politics construction objectives, the corresponding ideological and political education points and the implementation paths of each chapter are summarized. And through four teaching cases, this paper briefly introduces the method of integrating ideological and political elements into the teaching of steel structure design principles. Finally, the reform method of integrating ideological and political elements into the usual performance assessment is proposed to achieve the purpose of comprehensive evaluation of specialize knowledge and ideological and political educational achievements.

    Abstract:
    In order to realize the moral education while imparting knowledge and cultivating professional skills, the ideological and political construction of engineering drawing course makes use of concrete and vivid deeds of advanced figures and engineering construction examples to help students establish correct values, ideas and outlook on life. In order to improve the actual efficiency and practical effect of moral education, the curriculum construction is centered on the socialist core values. The four core modules of political identity, national consciousness, cultural self-confidence and civil personality are organically injected into the framework of curriculum knowledge points and subject content system. Through the teaching design and practice of flipped classroom, the classroom efficiency is improved, and taking the Core Socialist Values as the basic education direction, the classroom teaching system and efficient practical operation mode of ideological and political education is explored.

    Abstract:
    The creative transformation of Chinese traditional virtue in college moral education is not only a good manifestation of educational self-confidence, but also an active demonstration of educational awareness. Through the investigation of the integration of traditional virtue into college moral education in four construction colleges and universities, we can fully clarify the reality of college moral education in terms of content setting, curriculum setting, implementation strategy and evaluation system, as well as investigate the contradictions and difficulties of traditional virtue transformation in college moral education, as well as the obstructing factors of sublation and integration. Based on the integrated qualitative and quantitative analysis, it clearly identifies the structural contradiction between the subject and the object and the systematic conflict between the form and the content in the creative transformation of the traditional virtue in the moral education in colleges and universities, identifies the fundamental and practical reasons for the dilemma of the contradiction, and criticizes the fundamental harm of moral alienation in the post-industrial era and the value deviation of economic supremacy. Then, according to the principle of the unity of regularity and purposefulness of moral education in colleges and universities, this paper explores the unity of the four functions and three purposes of moral education in colleges and universities, the coherence of process and link, and the compatibility of practicality and transcendence. From directing the conscious internalization of traditional virtues, we should seek a path for classroom instruction that incorporates all elements, including instructional content, teaching techniques, teachers, and trainees. Starting with the construction of educational technology, we should build a "smart+" moral education carrier that is supported by science and technology and driven by data. Starting from the evaluation of the effectiveness of the creative transformation of traditional virtues in moral education in colleges and universities, we should adhere to the principle of the unity of cognition, motivation and behavior, pursue the transformation effectiveness of promoting reform through evaluation and teaching through reform, and build a teaching evaluation model of whole-process assessment and teaching evaluation by all staff.

    Abstract:
    As a grass-roots party organization in colleges and universities, the university faculty branch of the Party plays a significant role in the Party’ s educational efforts. As a bridge and link between the staff and students, we should implement the essential work of building morality and nurturing people, focus on the general layout of three-wide education, and seek to nurture new people who are accountable for national revitalization. We should base on the new era, and further cultivate students’ comprehensive qualities such as personality, quality, knowledge, ability, society and sense of responsibility. In the process of three-wide education, as the primary-level Party organizations, the teacher’s Party branch in colleges and universities adheres to the comprehensive leadership of the Party, how to play the role of fighting fortress of the primary-level Party and realize the education of talents for the Party and the country. This paper introduces the Party building practices of the Party branch of automation department in Beijing university of civil engineering and architecture in the process of three-wide education, mainly from four aspects: guiding of Party building and to firm ideals and beliefs; to broaden the channels and cultivate the whole process of recruitment and training; paired assistance, home school education, empathy between teachers and students, effective use of network and innovative teaching.
