Abstract:Education opening up has been playing an irreplaceable role and a crucial sector for deepening the international education cooperation and exchange and for promoting to learn from abroad universities’ experiences on how to cooperate with other universities and to raise the understanding and political mutual trust. Facing forward the new era, we should focus on assuring and raising the quality of education opening up and to correctly understand its’ importance and role for realizing the strategy for strengthening China through education, and to deal with the inner-relationship between strategy for strengthening China through education and the international education cooperation and exchange. On the base of the deadline for assuring the talents’ cultivation quality, we should promote the education opening up policy continuously, and construct the high-quality development of education opening up system from a series of links such as enhancing quality awareness, strengthening quality concepts, focusing on the quality assurance, improving quality testing and implementing quality supervision, and then empower the strategy of strengthening education and the ambitious goal of Chinese modernization in education implementation.

Abstract:International joint education of postgraduates is not only an important task of “Double First-Class” construction, but also an important support to achieve the goals of “Double First-Class” construction.Under the background of the transformation of infrastructure construction from high-speed to high-quality development in China, the international joint education program of civil engineering postgraduates is of great significance. However, due to the late start of international joint education of postgraduates in China, there are various problems in the implementation of the joint education projects. In order to maximize the impact of international joint education projects of postgraduates and steadily improve the education level of civil engineering graduate students, it carried out relevant research from the aspects of international education program, research project coherence, project planning principle and evaluation method in the paper. Firstly, based on the domestic and international experience of international joint education of postgraduates, it summarized concrete measures suitable for our country. Secondly, it uncovered the reasons for the lack of consistency in the research topics of civil engineering postgraduates and proposed an innovative management mechanism for international joint education of postgraduates. Thirdly, it revealed the main factors and obstacles in the implementation process of international joint education projects of civil engineering postgraduates, and put forward general principles of project planning. Finally, it put forward comprehensive and effectiveness evaluation methods for the international joint education projects. The paper has positive significance for ensuring the quality of international joint education of civil engineering postgraduates and optimizing the impact of international joint education.

Abstract:With the implementation of the “Double First-Class” initiative in China, the innovation and entrepreneurship education is a critical practical demand for building first-class undergraduate education, first-class disciplines, and first-class universities, as well as improving teaching level and talent training quality. In order to guarantee the talent training quality of the innovation and entrepreneurship education, it is important to perform scientific evaluation for the innovation and entrepreneurship education. However, in the requirements of the undergraduate talent training program and corresponding courses, the evaluation standard has not yet been formed until now. The investigation focused on the courses of the innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities. The characteristics of the course guidance team, teaching plan and evaluation strategies were summaried. By enumerating the requirements that should be fulfilled in innovation and entrepreneurship related courses, the relationship between the innovation and entrepreneurship courses, the learning objectives and the evaluation types was established. Based on the talent training practice of building environment and energy application engineering undergraduate specialty in Dalian University of Technology, the evaluation standard of the innovation and entrepreneurship talent training was proposed and applied in a course. The proposed evaluation standard has been successfully integrated into the undergraduate talent training program, which makes up for the lack of quantitative standards in available talent training programs. Moreover, it is expected that the proposed evaluation standard can be adopted by similar universities in China.

Abstract:Under the background of comprehensively improving talent training ability, constructing a new undergraduate education and teaching quality assurance system has become the key to the reform of undergraduate education in colleges and universities. Through the interpretation of the OBE concept and the analysis of the problems of the undergraduate teaching quality system of domestic local colleges and universities, this paper puts forward the construction scheme of the undergraduate teaching quality system of multidisciplinary local colleges and universities under the OBE concept of learning oriented and classified governance, so as to realize the transformation from teaching centered to learning centered. Taking Shandong Architecture University as an example, this paper analyzes the characteristic construction mode of undergraduate teaching quality assurance system of four categories and five subsystems.

Abstract:The Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area proposed to build an international education demonstration area, but the level of internationalization of higher education in Guangdong is not consistent with its economic status, especially in the field of higher vocational education. As international students being an important hallmark of the internationalization of higher education, Korea has achieved remarkable results in promoting the export of educational services and improving the internationalization level of universities, and its experience and lessons are worth learning. Through qualitative research methods such as historical review, literature analysis as well as online and offline interviews, this study examines and compares the strategies and policies adopted by Korea and Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in the internationalization of higher education. And then focused on the lessons and problems, recommendation of appropriate strategies and policies is provided to the higher vocational colleges and the education decision makers in GBA’s governments that are interested in expanding their efforts in recruiting the growing number of international students from overseas. As a large and strong province in vocational education, Guangdong has a lot of advantages in higher vocational education. Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao are highly complementary to each other in promoting the internationalization of higher vocational education in GBA. The recommended solution is to deepen the reform and opening up and break down institutional barriers, to formulate development plans and do a good job in top-level design, to unveil special policies and enhance the construction of standards, to strengthen the teaching staff and speed up the popularization of Chinese, to encourage school-enterprise cooperation and improve the support systems.

Abstract:The development of vocational education has entered an important stage of improving image and quality. The level of students’ professional quality education has become the main index of the connotation construction of vocational colleges. Under the school running mode of industry education integration, the prominent contradiction between the diversified needs of students’ quality education and the insufficient connotation construction of professional quality education, the poor connection between the professional quality needs of industry posts and the school teaching mode, the insufficient linkage education between schools and enterprises, and the lack of follow-up in the evaluation and appraisal of the effect of professional quality education affect the high-quality development of professional quality education in higher vocational colleges. Taking the analysis of three main influencing factors of culture, management and evaluation as the starting point, put forward the “three integration and two guidance” vocational quality education framework, and explore the path of vocational quality education in higher vocational colleges by creating a cultural education environment integrating industry and education, building a complete and effective education system, and reflecting the professional quality evaluation of individual growth, in order to adapt to the characteristics of open enrollment, classified enrollment and vocational education without classes.

Abstract:At present, with the rapid development of smart architecture in China, the demand for intelligent control talents has exploded. The lack of professional talents in construction environment who are proficient in intelligent control has become an important reason hindering the development of smart architecture. In view of the existing problems in the curriculum training system of the major of building environment and energy application engineering, guided by social needs and aiming at cultivating comprehensive talents with thick foundation, broad specialty and strong practical ability, this paper explores the intelligent control teaching system of the major of building environment under the emerging engineering education background based on the deep cooperation between the university and the enterprise. This paper puts forward three talent cultivation modes, namely school-enterprise joint laboratory, school-enterprise joint teaching and off-campus skill training, and makes in-depth research on teaching content, practice content and teaching form. Through in-depth university-enterprise cooperation, the organic combination and optimal allocation of university-enterprise resources are realized, breaking the traditional “deep bucket” course system of deepening disciplines, and jointly cultivating compound innovative talents of emerging engineering education under the guidance of wisdom and science and technology.

Abstract:Under the background of the national goal of “double carbon” and the construction of emerging engineering education, the development of building thermal engineering and the cultivation of professionals are becoming increasingly important.Taking the building thermal engineering laboratories in both universities as the examples, this paper compares their differences in experimental facilities, personnel management and operation regulation, and analyzes the effects of laboratory construction on the cultivation of undergraduates, master students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral fellows and young lecturers. The results show that the building thermal engineering laboratory of Chongqing University has laid a good foundation, but there is still a certain gap with the world-class laboratories. Additionally, the building thermal engineering laboratory provides obvious support to the research of PhD candidates and young scholars, but not much for the cultivation of undergraduates. For the architectural education in China, we suggest increasing the teaching hours of building physics experiment at the undergraduate stage, and introducing open, exploratory and research experiments in the teaching process of experimental courses.

Abstract:In the context of the development of the new era, the essential characteristics of emerging engineering education talents are analyzed, grasping the connotation of subject core competence accurately, facing the demand of new industry for talents, constructing the index frame of emerging engineering education talents core competence. To set up the training target and curriculum system of intelligent construction talents, to define the training standard of intelligent construction talents from the results of study, and to establish the professional teaching concept of quality standard, this paper explores the engineering teaching method based on action and reflection, and puts forward some suggestions on the implementation of core competence-oriented academic evaluation of emerging engineering education talents. It embodies the characteristics of practicality and innovation in engineering teaching, and has a certain theoretical significance and application value for the talents training of emerging engineering education.

Abstract:The objective of professional degree is different from that of academic degree. It aims to cultivate senior professionals with solid theoretical knowledge, strong practical ability and good professionalism. It emphasizes that students acquire certain professional skills through practical teaching sessions on the basis of mastering professional theoretical knowledge, with emphasis on practicality and application. In the field of architecture, the training mode of linking practical teaching with professionalism needs to be further deepened. Based on the concept of career-oriented practice teaching, it is analyzed how to shift from disciplinary logic to work logic in the process of practice teaching of professional degrees. Then, a practical teaching content that combines professional knowledge and vocational knowledge is constructed. Further, the three outstanding problems in the cultivation of professional degree postgraduates, such as unclear practical teaching objectives, unclear career cognition and irregular practice assessment, are solved. A mosaic teaching model of professional and vocational and an evaluation index system for testing the effectiveness of students’ practical learning are proposed. The results of the study are conducive to the transformation of students into professionals and the enhancement of professional competence to vocational competence, and provide a reference for the cultivation of professional talents in architecture.

Abstract:Industry-education integration, school-enterprise cooperation is an inevitable requirement for the development of university education. However, the current practice on the industry-education integration is often divorced from the actual needs of enterprises, resulting in insufficient depth in the training mode. Architectural education in universities is facing the problems of unclear talent training objectives for architectural design courses, lack of practical application scenarios for design content, and single outcome feedback method. In response to the above problems and challenges, the authors introduced the background, requirements, stage goals, course arrangement, and the responsibilities of school/enterprise tutors at each stage, and proposed the immersive teaching reform system and practice method, based on the industry-education integration mode. The idea of immersion is applied to the process of design expression and optimization. Taking two cases of student design works as examples, the authors evaluated the teaching reform outcomes of the soundscape joint design course. The successful practice applied on the soundscape joint design course realized the teaching mode of multi-channel, multi-mode, and multi-mechanism; improved the teaching quality, and provided a platform for cultivating students’ excellent quality, comprehensive capabilities and employment capabilities. To deepen the cooperation of the industry-education integration, universities should create new industry-education integration modes actively, and enterprises should dig deep into the actual needs of work, ultimately achieving a win-win situation for both sides, and effectively improving the quality of talent training.

Abstract:With the deep integration of information technology and education and teaching in the context of Internet plus, online teaching based on information technology is changing to the new normal. In the face of the current new normal of educational reform, how to update teaching concepts, adjust teaching strategies, grasp the real learning situation, and improve teaching quality in exploration and practice has gradually become a new focus of teaching practice. The architectural design course, as the core course of the architecture major, has the characteristics of strong practicality and high comprehensiveness. The article takes the course of campus architectural design in the architectural design course as the empirical research object, based on the relevant theories of blended learning, combines the teaching characteristics of architectural design with the advantages of online and offline teaching, and relies on high-quality online teaching platforms, explore and practice online diversified mixed architectural design teaching from five aspects: course objectives, teaching tasks, teaching organization teaching content and teaching evaluation. The analysis of practice effect shows that the online course teaching under the concept of multiple mixing can effectively stimulate students’ learning interest, promote the knowledge construction of systematic architecture discipline and improve the ability of innovative design thinking. In addition, online teaching under the concept of diversified mixing can provide practical experience for the online teaching design of architectural design and other design disciplines in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and also have a positive promoting effect on the construction of first-class undergraduate courses in architecture.

Abstract:Under the background of engineering education certification, the professional curriculum teaching of engineering majors should also change the concept and mode in time, and carry out the curriculum construction in line with the concept of engineering education certification. Taking the course of urban underground space planning and design as an example, this paper introduced the professional curriculum teaching design method of urban underground space engineering major. Firstly, the top-level design of professional talent training was analyzed, and the orientation and task of the course were discussed; Then, according to the needs of industry development, the corresponding curriculum knowledge system was constructed; Finally, the teaching design of the course was carried out by using the outcome-based education (OBE) mode. Abstract:Soil mechanics is a practice-oriented subject. There are a number of tricky problems for the conventional classroom theory teaching, including the diverse knowledge points, complicated content system and disjunction between theory and practice, and the experiment teaching is also constrained by the factors of time, space and resources (e.g. teaching hours, site and equipment), which lead to an overall poor teaching effect. Enlightened by the principle of virtual-actual combination, the soil mechanics teaching team at Sun Yat-sen University carry out the teaching reformation exploration. On the one hand, we introduce the physical model into the theory teaching, which helps promote students’ comprehension and recognition of the theoretical model, abstract concept and engineering practice. On the other hand, we construct the simulation platform with the use of virtual reality technology, which helps overcome the limitation of time, space and resources in traditional experiment teaching. The virtual-actual combination based teaching means is able to aid in stimulating students’ initiative and enthusiasm for learning, cultivation of their innovative thoughts, promotion of the teaching quality and effectiveness of soil mechanics.

Abstract:In recent years, it has become a hot research topic at home and abroad that how to rebuild the training scheme of engineering management specialty with the emerging engineering education concept and BIM as the center, adjust the curriculum system, teaching methods and teaching contents, and form the students’ systematic and explicit working ability with the fragmented knowledge of engineering technology, management, economy and law scattered in different courses and chapters, and cultivate the intelligent engineering management talents urgently needed by enterprises and markets. Financial and economic universities lack the background support of engineering technology and the practical teaching links are not solid, so it is urgent to integrate BIM technology into the teaching of engineering management. The setting of BIM courses in universities at home and abroad, the advantages and disadvantages of professional teaching in financial and economic universities and literature research show that the BIM course system of engineering management major in financial and economic universities should effectively improve the teaching effect of engineering technology theory courses, fully integrate with the core courses of engineering economic management, and consolidate practical teaching links with class competition training. Accordingly, guided by OBE and CDIO theories, “1+3” BIM course system is proposed, which integrates theoretical teaching, course design, BIM contest training and graduation design, and four courses groups, namely BIM basic theory and software operation course group, engineering technology theory auxiliary course group, engineering economic management integration course group and comprehensive practical application improvement course group, are accurately constructed, with a view to filling the shortcomings of engineering technology courses of engineering management major in financial universities. Give full play to the advantages of the discipline of economic management, effectively improve the situation that the course objectives are unclear, the theoretical support of engineering technology is insufficient, the practical ability needs to be strengthened, and all practical teaching links lack systematization, so as to provide guiding ideas and methods for the construction of BIM teaching curriculum system for engineering management major in finance and economics and normal agriculture and forestry universities.

Abstract:From the “Two Mountains” theory to the “double carbon” goal, the national demand for eco-environmental protection and high-level talents is increasing day by day. Improving the quality of postgraduate talent training has become one of the important topics in the construction of an innovative country and the implementation of the strategy of strengthening the country with talents. Taking North Carolina State University as an example, this paper deeply analyzed the training mode of graduate students in environmental engineering from the aspects of educational system, objectives, curriculum and requirements of graduate training, and compared and analyzed the similarities and differences between Chinese and American graduate training. The results show that well-designed training objectives and curriculum system, as well as the close combination of learning and practicing are the effective experience of environmental engineering graduate training in American public research universities. The results warrant certain practical values for the cultivation of postgraduates of environmental engineering in China, promoting the training quality of high-level talents and the further improvement of scientific and technological innovation and creativity.

Abstract:It is the primary goal of education in universities to cultivate talents in line with the needs of society and the country. With the implementation of the construction project of emerging engineering education and the advocacy of Three-wide education concept, it is an urgent problem on how to cultivate high-quality composite talents that meet the development needs of society and the country in the process of talent cultivation for our universities in the new situation. Civil engineering major is highly practical disciplines, and practical teaching is one of the important links to ensure the quality of talent cultivation. Abstract:In face of unstable situation and uncertain engineering prospects, the status and role of ethics education are still underestimated. Ethics education plays a role of linking cultivating virtues and morality, and engineering talent training. However, the students have a low understanding of engineering ethics and there are also certain misunderstandings, which has become a problem that needs to be faced and solved by engineering ethics education. Therefore, it is urgent for engineering ethics education to focus on its intersection with students’ life, learning and entering the society, enhance the students’ participation, and ensure the ethical teaching effect of single subject or multiple subjects. Firstly, it attempted to build the relation between students’ social life, engineering experience and ethics, thus mitigating the barrier between them, and enriching the case database of engineering ethics teaching, and helping learners appreciate the value and significance of engineering ethics, and improving learning interest and ethical sensitivity. Secondly, it cultivated great-engineering concept by integrating morality appraisal, value judgment and dialectical analysis, and furthermore, widened the students’ mind and vision, thus providing reference and enlightenment for students’ academic and professional development. Abstract:In recent years, ideological and political education has become an important part of curriculum construction and an important aspect of teaching reform. Professional basic courses in universities are the link between general basic courses and professional courses, which is directly related to the teaching quality of the whole specialty. At present, the practice of ideological and political teaching generally has the problems of “surface” and “hard integration”, professional basic courses are no exception. Compared with other courses, the public basic courses themselves have the characteristics of large coverage and wide audience. Therefore, improving the effect of ideological and political education in professional basic courses has become an urgent problem to be solved in universities. First of all, the teachers’ ability of ideological and political education should be improved. All teachers should identify with the curriculum thought and politics in concept and be competent for the curriculum thought and politics in ability. Secondly, the curriculum thought and politics should conform to the characteristics of professional education and fully reflect the differences of teaching objects. The ideological and political elements contained in the curriculum and teaching methods should be deeply excavated, and a curriculum case base with curriculum characteristics, professional characteristics and school characteristics should be established. According to different disciplines, majors and teaching materials, a variety of teaching methods are adopted to teach students according to their aptitude and realize the purpose of value shaping. Finally, the ideological and political curriculum in an all-round way should be designed, covering three aspects: curriculum quality standards, teaching materials and teaching process, so as to realize the three goals of value guidance, knowledge transfer and ability training. Abstract:In order to cultivate engineering talent of carrying with patriotic feelings, the Chinese culture and craftsmanship spirit, play to the positive role of ideological and political education in the cultivating of socialist builders, on the basis of analysis ideological and political education methods and means of the existing curriculum, combined with the characteristics of series courses of road survey and design, the goal of one feeling, two cultures and three spirits in ideological and political courses is formulated. According to the ideological and political goals of the course, the technical approaches for achieving ideological and political goals of theoretical teaching and practical teaching are formulated respectively. For theoretical teaching, the recessive infiltration education mode is adopted in each chapter, and the ideological and political goal of one feeling, two cultures is realized by combining the flipped classroom of designated topics and the movie watching related to the course. For the practical teaching, the explicit strengthening education mode is adopted to achieve the ideological and political goal of one feeling, three spirits. For each course condition, practice has proved that the implement course ideological education combination mode of recessive infiltration and dominant reinforcement, not only effectively to achieve the education goal of the course, improved the course grade, also cultivate the students open, fair and justice principle, at the same time, the ideological course is biphasic, also making the teachers’ education level has been greatly improved.
