    Abstract:
    The Chinese government has played a prominent role in building world-class universities and is a solid backing for building world-class universities. Through research on the role of government in the construction of world-class universities abroad, it has been found that the government has played an important role in organizational innovation, talent demand, laws and regulations, and financial support, becoming an important component of international experience. China's construction of world-class universities cannot be detached from its own reality, blindly copying international experience, nor can it ignore the common laws of university development and remain complacent. Instead, it should be based on local conditions and have a global perspective. On the basis of drawing on and absorbing the experience of world-class university construction from abroad, China should creatively explore the local path of building world-class universities based on its own national conditions, explore the role of the Chinese government in building world-class universities, and contribute Chinese wisdom and experience to the construction of world-class universities.

    Abstract:
    Double first-class university program aims to cultivate high-level talents with international vision and competence, providing an important support to the development of first-class subjects. Conventional English courses usually follow the entire foreign teaching system and render some drawbacks, such as late updates and insufficient depth. Chinese professional courses are generally hard with limited breadth, giving rise to weakness in practical application for students. In view of these, this paper presents a case study on the English course of engineering materials at Chongqing University. It explores the teaching innovations, seeks the balance between Chinese and English courses, stimulates the learning interests of students, and eliminates the language conversion habits. The paper analyzes and discusses the novel approaches for international high-level talents education. The course is part of a joint program between Chongqing University, China and University of British Columbia, Canada for undergraduate students, which has been conducted for a total of 6 semesters. Till date, 23 students have been offered to study in University of British Columbia under the program, and 21 among them have graduated with excellent grades, and over 90% of them have continued their postgraduate studies in QS Top 50 global renowned universities.

    Abstract:
    Based on some bottleneck problems restricting the development of innovation and entrepreneurship education of civil engineering majors in Local Universities: insufficient cross integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education and professional education, unsound innovation and entrepreneurship education resource system, lack of in-depth collaborative education between schools and enterprises, and imperfect innovation and entrepreneurship practice platform. In the context of digital intelligence era, BIM technology can break through the barriers between civil engineering majors. In order to adapt to the new business forms and new economic situation in the construction field, it is of great practical significance to carry out the innovation and entrepreneurship education reform of civil engineering based on BIM technology. This paper discusses the methods and approaches of integrating BIM technology into the talent system of innovation and entrepreneurship education from some aspects in the era of digital intelligence,such as "what kind of person to train", "what courses to take", "who takes classes", "how to practice", "what teaching materials" and "how to ensure the teaching quality". And a talent training paradigm of innovation and entrepreneurship education based on BIM Technology is put forward. It is helpful to establish BIM mass entrepreneurship education big project concept for teachers and students of civil engineering majors, and can effectively solve practical problems such as civil engineering students' insufficient information literacy, fragmented understanding of common knowledge points, and weak capacity of mass entrepreneurship and innovation in industry posts. Taking the civil engineering major of a university in Dalian as an example, the paper discusses the overall scheme, specific practices and practical results that can be implemented. It is pointed out that this paradigm has improved the training quality of innovative and entrepreneurial talents for civil engineering graduates, and enhanced the students' engineering practice innovation ability and employment and entrepreneurship competitiveness. And provides reference and ideas for the innovation and entrepreneurship education reform and the training of applied talents in local universities.

    Abstract:
    The second classroom is the key carrier and effective way of implementing quality education in colleges and universities, and it is of great significance to improve the comprehensive quality of college students. Based on CNKI database, literature of the second classroom from January 2015 to April 2022 is searched, and the CiteSpace visual analysis technology is used to analyze the concentrated areas, hot topics, core topics and future development trends of the second classroom transcript research. The study argues that both the attention and depth of research on second classroom transcript are increasing, and the academic value of this field is gradually improving. The current research mainly focuses on the implementation status, functional value, and technological platform integration application of second classroom transcript. Furthermore, three comprehensive eduation has become a core issue and hot topic in the research of second classroom transcript. In the future, research can be further conducted on the standardization and scientific management, digital management and application, correlation research with students’ development paths, and connection with the employment market of second classroom transcript.

    Abstract:
    In recent 10 years, architecture education abroad has been developing vigorously. Based on the core database of Web of Science, this paper uses bibliometric software to explore the overview, research highlights and development stages of architecture education. In recent years, the overall trend of architecture education research abroad has shifted from preliminary design to design research, engineering practice, knowledge system, and the use of technology and scientific means for teaching. The research highlights mainly focus on the architecture design studio and theoretical course innovation and diverse teaching evaluation; teaching concepts like thinking ability, interdisciplinary, sustainability and practice; teaching methods like Bloom Taxonomy, student interest, project based learning and ICT development; as well as diversified teaching evaluation. Through the analysis of foreign research highlights and in combination with the dilemma of domestic architecture education, in the aspect of architecture teaching reform, based on innovation in design and theoretical courses, teaching concepts, and teaching methods, the courses should integrate multidisciplinary, technical, and practical comprehensive knowledge that meets the needs of the times. In the field of architecture teaching research, curriculum should construct the teaching mode with students as the main body, allowing students' learning outcomes to supplement research projects. In addition, teachers should take architecture "identity" research as the core and form the interdisciplinary research system. Establishing a benign supply relationship between teaching and research in the context of new engineering in China can serve as a concept and means for sustainable development of architecture in university. This article aims to provide ideas for current architecture teaching research and teaching reform in China by sorting out and tracking relevant literature on architecture education in the past 10 years abroad.

    Abstract:
    Guided by the strategy of building a strong country in transportation, transportation colleges and universities should adapt to the needs of the country’s economic and social development, give full play to the school’s advantages in running schools, and conduct specialized training for postgraduates in architecture to meet the needs of high-quality international talents in China’s transportation construction. A survey of the training programs of architecture graduate students in eight domestic transportation institutions finds that theoretical courses and design internships seldom explore the problems of transportation construction, international education limited by school system and student status management is not systematic and characteristic, research and practice do not combine the cutting-edge issues of transportation construction and are lack of innovation. Therefore, combining the requirements of high-quality training of postgraduates and the strategy of building a strong country in transportation, on the basis of in-depth analysis of relevant domestic and foreign research, a characteristic cultivation mechanism of architecture graduate students in transportation colleges has been proposed: construct a multi-disciplinary, theoretical and practical graduate course system; establish a postgraduate training mechanism for collaborative education of government, industry, university and research; adhere to an international joint training mechanism emphasizing both bringing in and going out. This is of great significance to the characteristic cultivation of architecture graduate students in transportation colleges.

    Abstract:
    Local architecture universities play an important role in serving regional economic and social development. This study takes the practice of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture in serving the country and regional major needs as an example to explore the practice, and analyzes the key points of local architecture universities in innovating and serving regional economic and social development. The article introduces the concept of local architecture universities and the current development environment they face, and analyzes the relationship between local architecture universities and the economic and social development of the region where they are located, as well as the common problems that exist.     Abstract:
    Engineering characteristic guided courses reflect the training objectives of applied talents and help improve the core competitiveness of students in related majors. As one of the representative courses, the course of introduction to architectural engineering has been opened in several majors such as housing management and public management. It can provide non-engineering students with necessary basic engineering theory, but there are also many contradictions that need to be resolved in experimental teaching. On the basis of defining the orientation and characteristics of the course, the necessity of carrying out virtual simulation experiment teaching is systematically analyzed. Based on the requirements of engineering management professional practice ability outline, the teaching objectives of virtual simulation experiment teaching are put forward. To achieve teaching objectives, a virtual simulation comprehensive practical teaching mode with three levels of content: subject general education, professional improvement, and innovative design is designed, and the process assessment of practical teaching is strengthened. The questionnaire survey and quantitative analysis are conducted to evaluate the implementation effect. The teaching mode of virtual simulation experiment well meets the requirements of the professional ability outline of engineering management, which can provide reference for the teaching of engineering characteristic guidance courses in relevant colleges and universities.

    Abstract:
    The quality of practice curriculum is important for achieving the goal of talents cultivation in engineering programs. There are some requirements for practice curriculum in engineering accreditation standard. But current situation is that: some universities have not quality standard system for practice curriculum, or the main requirements of engineering accreditation standard are not included, or the contents of quality standard are inconsistent with different kinds of practice curriculum. Based on the requirements for practice curriculum in engineering accreditation standard, considering the idea of outcome based education, the common three influence factors, which affecting and reflecting the quality of experiment course, practice course and design course(including course design and graduation design(thesis)) , are summarized as the fundamental elements, the teaching process and the teaching effects, and set as the first level quality indicators. The specific influence factors are investigated as the second level quality indicators, most of them are same, some are different according to the particular characteristic. Finally, the method of how to build the quality evaluation form according to different evaluation purpose are put forward. The contents of quality standard system are comprehensive and the quality indicator are consistent with each other, which is convenient for horizontal comparison and can promote the quality control and continuous improvement of practical courses.

    In the context of the rapid development of new engineering, the construction industry has put forward new requirements for the cultivation of applied talents in the field of engineering cost. In order to meet the industry’s requirements for the ability of engineering cost talents, the urgent task for the cultivation of engineering cost talents in the context of new engineering is to closely follow the general direction of the data age, integrate the rapidly developing modern information technology into teaching, fully utilize digital information technology, actively explore the integration method between professional training and technological innovation, and cultivate new talents of digital intelligent engineering cost in the new era. Based on this, this study takes the digital intelligent engineering cost applied talent training model under the background of new engineering program at Tianjin University of Technology as an example to analyze the new requirements for engineering cost talents proposed by the engineering cost major at Tianjin University of Technology to respond to the new situation. A preliminary exploration and practice of digital intelligent engineering cost talent training model are carried out from four aspects: training system, training tools, thinking innovation, and school enterprise cooperation. Through a case study of the talent cultivation model for the engineering cost major at Tianjin University of Technology, it is found that the cultivation of engineering cost professionals in universities can start from four aspects: enhancing job competence, optimizing talent cultivation tools, forming complex problem-solving abilities, and strengthening school enterprise cooperation. A digital intelligent talent cultivation system for engineering cost in the context of new engineering can be constructed and continuously improved, which provides experience and reference for the cultivation of engineering cost professionals in other universities. Only by integrating into the wave of digital and intelligent development and updating the digital and intelligent mode can the engineering cost talent training system cultivate engineering cost application-oriented talents that meet the requirements of the new era and create a new style of engineering cost in the new era.

    Abstract:
    Emerging engineering education is a new paradigm of engineering education reform in China, and it is of practical significance to carry out the reform of first-class course teaching mode under this background. Teaching practice shows that the lack of effectiveness in shaping the value of professional courses and the lack of students’ ability to solve complex engineering problems are two prominent problems in the construction of first-class courses in civil engineering. Starting with ideological and political education, this paper expounds the overall design of ideological and political education, the teaching practice and the design ideas of ideological and political elements for soil mechanics course. Then, by means of case teaching method that promotes the cultivation of practical ability, this paper discusses the selection principle of typical engineering teaching cases of soil mechanics, and the case teaching method combining virtuality with reality. The research results are of reference value for promoting the construction of first-class courses in civil engineering under the background of emerging engineering education.

    Abstract:
    To meet the demand of the development of building industrialization, a series of reforms in the graduation design of building construction orientation for civil engineering specialty are carried out in South China University of Technology, which includes the adjustment on the graduation design objectives, topics, design content, implementation means, schedule, results submitted, etc. To ensure the smooth implementation of the reform, some effective measures are taken. For example, the implementation path of the reform is formulated by using PDCA cycle, so that the graduation design practice can be continuously improved year by year. The design of prefabricated concrete structure, BIM-based deepening design of prefabricated components, collision analysis, construction process simulation, measurement and pricing are introduced, making the traditional state of taking the structural design of cast-in-place concrete frame as a single design content changed. Through multi-dimensional university-enterprise cooperation, online and offline guidance mode and excellent student teaching assistants, the problems of lack of teachers and software application in the field of prefabricated structure design are solved. Facilitated by the combination of competition and teaching, the teaching quality is promoted, and students’ ability is measured. Issues such as the choice between the traditional manual calculation content and the computer calculation content, the setting of the design content of the cast-in-place components and prefabricated components, the balance on design difficulty and workload, are discussed. The design task and schedule are suggested to be arranged based on the measurement results, and for students with different ability levels, the required and optional content can be set to meet their development needs. After the reform, the overall workload and difficulty of the graduation design are increased, and the design content is more in line with the engineering practice. Students’ software application skills are greatly improved, and their understanding in detailed structure, production and construction process of prefabricated components is deepened. The reform has achieved good effect, providing a good basis and reference for the development of intelligent construction specialty.

    Abstract:
    Based on the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) method, a model method for the curriculum setting of intelligent construction micro specialty is proposed by combining the training needs of intelligent construction talents with the advantages of micro specialty construction. Firstly, the training objectives and graduation requirements of intelligent construction micro specialty are analyzed, and based on this, the course library of intelligent construction micro specialty is established. Then, according to the training objectives and professional foundations of different schools, FAHP is used to calculate the coupling matching degree between the proposed course and the school training mode, and the courses with higher matching degree are selected to determine the courses of intelligent construction micro specialty. An empirical analysis is carried out on the curriculum setting of intelligent construction micro specialty in Wuhan University of Technology. The results show that through the application of this method, courses such as engineering internet of things and intelligent construction site and engineering intelligent monitoring and operation and maintenance can be effectively selected to adapt to the advantages of school running, which is conducive to enhancing the scientificity of micro specialty curriculum setting and realizing characteristic training objectives.

    Abstract:
    Ecology course is an important part of the core curriculum of the landscape architecture speciality. Exploring the appropriate teaching model is helpful to improve students’ learning effect and promote the organic combination of ecological knowledge and professional design. Based on the current situation of ecology teaching, this paper focuses on the ways of teaching intervention and teaching model design of immersive experience. Immersive teaching has the characteristics of scene virtualization, scene intelligence, role equality and process interaction. Thus, it has significant advantages in overcoming the problems and shortcomings of traditional teaching methods in ecology course. The immersion teaching mode of ecology course should be oriented by teaching objectives, and it consists of teaching preparation, teaching design, teaching implementation, effect analysis and teaching support system, which can develop in a virtuous cycle. At present, the exploration of immersive teaching mode of ecology course is still in its initial stage, which needs to be further improved from the aspects of software and hardware conditions, the correctness and accuracy of knowledge dissemination, and the sharing and co-construction of teaching resources.

    Abstract:
    To solve the problems encountered in the civil engineering courses pertinent to the experimental tests, this study analyzes the existing problems from the aspects of attention degree, hardware conditions, organization management and assessment methods. And an experimental teaching method to solve the practical engineering project problems was proposed. The teaching mode of "student as center, group as unit" optimizes performance evaluation standards, guides students to establish a comprehensive knowledge system, and stimulates the interests of students and motivations to actively be involved in the experimental investigations. Taking the experimental teaching of wind loads as an example, the implementation of the teaching reform program is discussed in detail. The results show that the proposed teaching method could cultivate the ability to analyze and solve practical problems in engineering practices, teamwork spirits and scientific innovations, and the teaching effects are quite remarkable.

    Under the background of first-class curriculum construction, the reconstruction of teaching content and resources in the professional curriculum of engineering specialty should also be carried out in time, so as to lay an important foundation for the teaching design and implementation of the curriculum. Taking the tunnel engineering course as an example, this paper analyzes the difficulties in the current course teaching, and introduces the teaching content organization ideas of engineering courses, including programmatic syllabus compilation, structured knowledge system design, modular teaching content organization, practical teaching resource allocation, systematic ideological and political elements, etc. Through a complete teaching content organization, rich teaching resources and a comprehensive ideological and political element system, a relatively complete teaching content and teaching resources have been formed to help achieve the goal of first-class curriculum construction.

    Based on the characteristics of modern engineering drawing curriculum system, taking descriptive geometry and engineering drawing curriculum in civil engineering as the carrier, this paper discusses the entry points for the integration of Revit 3D modeling software and engineering drawing courses in terms of plane figures, elementary units, intersection of solid surfaces, assemblies and architectural drawings. Guided by OBE, the paper also puts forward implementation scheme of segmental integration engineering drawing curriculum. The teaching process emphasizes student-centered in order to develop students’ ability of teamwork and innovation via collaborative learning within the innovative design projects. Taking Chang’an University as an example, the paper introduces in detail the teaching practice of segmented integration engineering drawing course, including teaching content, teaching arrangements, and practical effects.

    Abstract:
    Formula derivation is emphasized and case study is neglected in the traditional teaching for the reliability theory, resulting in low teaching efficacy. The teaching technique through illustrative case studies is proposed, and the importance of both case teaching concept and learning promoted by programming is stressed. Four typical case studies, such as the cantilever beam, sea dike, pile foundation, and sheet pile wall, are implemented to explore the procedures and methods for the teaching of reliability theory. Each case study has its own emphasis on the teaching content, leading to key knowledge components from the easy to the difficult, which allows students to immerse themselves in the solution of examples through programming practice. The teaching model based on case heuristics is easy to stimulate students’ enthusiasm for exploring the reliability theory, and it is easy to realize the connection with professional problems.

    Abstract:
    It is very important to cultivate comprehensive talents with both bridge technical creativity and aesthetic innovation quality for the course construction of bridge aesthetics. To fulfill the basic task of cultivating talents with moral integrity, changing the traditional teaching mode and improving students’ interest and participation, the teaching mode of bridge aesthetics is actively explored in the era of innovation, in which the student-centered BOPPPS teaching design method is put forward and a reform oriented online and offline mixed teaching mode is established. Moreover, project-based teaching mode guided by engineering practice is carried out, and live broadcasting teaching guided by new technology is added. An infiltrative ideological and political teaching model of the course is established. The comprehensive application of these teaching methods improve students' sense of participation and acquisition in the classroom, cultivate students’ comprehensive thinking and innovation ability of the combination of bridge technology and art, and promote the richness and expressiveness of work design. In addition, the general course of bridge culture and aesthetics is derived from the professional course of bridge aesthetics, so that more students can master bridge culture and aesthetic knowledge and increase national pride and cultural self-confidence.     Abstract:
    To solve the current problems of poor education effectiveness in bridge engineering production practice and lack of bridge BIM talents, Southwest Jiaotong University tries to embed BIM training in bridge engineering production practice. By investigating the arrangement of domestic and foreign BIM courses, the education reform objective is proposed. Based on the objective, the implementation plan, exercise program and assessment method in bridge engineering production practice reform are explored. The advantages and disadvantages of the education reform are summarized by analyzing the BIM training reports submitted by students enrolled in 2016-2018. Results show that with the help of the education reform, the BIM application level of students is greatly improved. At the same time, it enhances students’ subjective initiative, stimulates their scientific innovation ability, and achieves good effect in practice.

    The goal of higher education is to cultivate talents for the society. While carrying out the national strategy of rural revitalization and development, personnel training should be closely linked with the development of the country and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, so as to organically integrate curriculum based ideological and political education into professional personnel training. In the teaching reform of rural planning courses, the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Kunming University of Science and Technology not only inherits the basic knowledge of the subject, actively responds to the needs of the times by integrating new knowledge and new technology, but also constantly improves ideological and political education as an important teaching content, promotes the integration of ideological and political education and professional education. According to the characteristics of theoretical and practical professional teaching, innovate learning methods, and carry out various activities and lectures, so that ideological and political education can achieve the effect of moisten things silently. Deeply implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the strategy of revitalizing rural areas, by establishing and improving the ideological and political teaching system of the curriculum, digging into the ideological and political elements of the curriculum, looking for effective teaching methods, improving the ideological and political literacy of teachers, and building a multiple evaluation system, we construct an ideological and political teaching system of rural planning. Adhering to the teaching philosophy of combining theory with practice, scientific research feedback teaching, and ideological and political education, we lead students to participate in poverty alleviation relocation, rural public welfare practice, and rural joint graduation project of four schools across the country, and establish a number of teaching practice bases, which provide a multi-directional teaching practice platform for carrying out practical rural planning and student practice. In the process of teaching, values are guided in knowledge imparts, students' critical thinking ability and sense of responsibility are improved, ideological and political education results are further deepened, and references are provided for the research of ideological and political education reform.

    Abstract:
    It is the time require of curriculum based ideological and political education of high education by integrating aesthetic education into the main teaching content and training objectives to promote moral education. Combined with double first-class construction, according to the character of engineering major, the paper focuses on reforming the teaching mode of general courses in engineering majors. Based on the current social environment and the hot topics that students are concerned about, teaching methods such as physical models, engineering practices, mobile networks, social platforms, network video, and traditional excellent teaching methods are fully utilized. Professional experts are invited to take class. Integrating aesthetic education and moral education into teaching, good teaching results are achieved. Taking the general course of bridge aesthetics in civil engineering as an example, a feasible teaching method is explored, which can provide reference for relevant course teaching.

    Abstract:
    To equip students with solid engineering theory foundation, broad engineering knowledge and strong engineering consciousness, this paper summarizes the deficiencies in the previous graduate training process, analyzes the entry points of cultivating postgraduates’ research abilities and ideological and political education,the relationship between tutors and postgraduates, and the differences in the teaching and training process between postgraduates and undergraduates. The paper carries out a redesign from the four aspects of organic integration of scientific research and ideological and political education, various penetration methods, evaluation system and ideological and political evaluation indexes. It constructs a diversified ideological and political education infiltration mode that conforms to students’ ideological and political characteristics and an evaluation system of ideological and political cognitive ability that effectively quantifies the ideological and political cognitive changes of students in the process of scientific research. First, divide the course content into different modules and chapters according to the different requirements of the course objectives. In combination with the ideological and political cases of the course and the reporting process of students, students will gradually enhance their love for their major and pride for the country in the course learning process. Second, effectively combine ideological and political education with curriculum content, comprehensively improve the education level of postgraduates, and cultivate high-quality specialized talents and top-notch innovative talents with persistent beliefs, good morality, rich knowledge and excellent skills.
